Funding decisions are made by a majority vote of the board of directors and are driven by such factors as the number of people to be served, the needs and abilities of an organization, and the potential for funding from other sources.

Grants that are to be regifted to other groups or individuals are typically limited.

Full Grant

Full Grant application is for grants of more than $5,000+ total.

The Greater Ozarks Chapter of the National Association of Orthopedic Nurses offers an $800 scholarship to high school seniors or undergraduate nursing students. Preference is given to orthopedic nurses and dependents of NAON members. Eligible applicants must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher, demonstrate financial need, and apply to an accredited institution. Required documents include a transcript, personal essay, and a letter of recommendation, fostering the next generation of nursing professionals.

The Human Trafficking Youth Prevention Education (HTYPE) Demonstration Program aims to empower local education agencies (LEAs) by funding initiatives that equip school staff to identify and respond to human trafficking signs. Collaborating with nonprofit partners, LEAs will provide students with essential knowledge on avoiding victimization and recognizing trafficking indicators. With a maximum award of $8,000, the fund aims to alleviate the burden of healthcare costs for those diagnosed with this complex disease, promoting better health outcomes and quality of life for patients across the United States.

The Arise Charitable Trust, established in 1986, provides grants to support women on South Whidbey Island in achieving their educational and vocational goals. Eligible applicants include individual women and nonprofit organizations serving women. Grants can be used for tuition, childcare, and living expenses, as well as to develop programs that empower women and girls. Awards are made biannually, with a local committee reviewing applications to select recipients.
