The Arizona Discovery Boost Grants, in partnership with the American Cancer Society, aim to enhance cancer research in Arizona by funding innovative, high-risk projects. Grants of up to $135,000 per year for two years are available, supporting researchers focused on groundbreaking methodologies and pilot tests. This initiative not only fosters local expertise but also promotes geographic diversity in cancer research, helping to address critical questions in the field.

About PLTW Gateway

PLTW Gateway (6-8) opens paths that create meaningful futures. It connects students to careers in areas they can, and can't, imagine. Through explorations of skilled trades, coding and robotics, flight and space, human body systems, and more, PLTW Gateway fuels students’ passion for discovery. As they engage in hands-on, collaborative problem solving focused on real-world challenges, students use and stretch their imaginations in brand-new ways that connect their learning to life.

Through this partnership, Intel Foundation has committed funds to support PLTW grants to schools interested in starting or expanding PLTW programs beginning in the 2027-2028 academic year.

Program Requirements

• Grantee must offer at least one PLTW Gateway unit in the 2027-2028 academic year and must offer one additional unit in the 2028-2029 academic year (two different units in two years).
• Grantee may implement any PLTW Gateway units of their choosing.
• Grantee must complete two years of Grant reporting.

The AZ Heritage K-12 Small Grant Program, funded by the Arizona Game and Fish Department, aims to provide up to $3000 to Arizona teachers for enhancing wildlife education in their classrooms. Applications received after the deadline may qualify for an additional scoring round if funds remain available. This initiative seeks to enrich educational experiences and promote environmental awareness among students.

Cardinals Charities

Founded in 1990, Cardinals Charities supports programs designed to improve the quality of life and enhance opportunities for children, women, and minorities in the state of Arizona.

Cardinals Charities' grants are awarded on an annual basis in response to applications from various qualified non-profit organizations whose goals and programs align with the mission statement.

Since its inception, Cardinals Charities has distributed more than 9.1 million dollars to hundreds of worthy charitable organizations on behalf of the Arizona Cardinals and the National Football League.

Mission Statement​

The Arizona Cardinals Charities Fund supports programs designed to improve the quality of life and enhance opportunities for children, women, and minorities in the state of Arizona.

Grants are awarded on an annual basis in response to applications from non-profit 501(c)(3) qualified organizations whose goals and programs meet our mission statement. We make every effort to direct our contributions where they can have the greatest impact while addressing the most critical needs. Funding is limited to the success of Cardinals Charities' own fund-raising efforts during the year.

Arizona organizations and agencies that serve veterans and their families can seek funding for programs benefiting Arizona veterans through the Arizona Department of Veterans' Services Veterans' Donation Fund Small Grant, with awards up to US $4,999. Arizona youth sports programs that primarily support veterans or veteran families may be eligible if they meet these criteria.

Arizona organizations providing substance use prevention and early intervention services can apply for grants supporting evidence-based programs, screening, and behavioral health and substance abuse assessments. The Arizona Governor's Office of Youth, Faith and Family channels Substance Use Block Grant funds to initiatives serving youth, adults, families, and communities, including efforts addressing vaping, alcohol, marijuana, polysubstance use, and related trends.

The Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) in Arizona allocates funding to nonprofit organizations at high risk of terrorist attacks or hate crimes. Established by state law, it offers up to $1 million over fiscal years 2024-2028, with a maximum of $100,000 available per organization each year. This initiative aims to enhance safety through target hardening and security improvements, supporting nonprofits vulnerable due to their beliefs or mission.

The Arizona Housing Fund Grant supports permanent supportive housing projects for vulnerable individuals and families earning up to 30% AMI. Eligible organizations must have at least five years of experience and prior funding from recognized entities. Sponsored by the Society for Sedimentary Geology, this scholarship aims to support students at universities within the U.S. Preference is given to those studying in states like Montana, Colorado, and New Mexico, promoting a deeper understanding of sedimentology and its applications.

The STOP Violence Against Women Grant (AZ) empowers Arizona entities to combat violence against women through funding and support for law enforcement, prosecution, and victim services. With approximately $3.3 million available annually, the grant prioritizes programs that enhance victim safety and hold offenders accountable, while requiring a 25% non-federal match. Eligible applicants include non-profits, tribal entities, and government agencies, ensuring a broad coalition to address these critical issues.

The James Avery Fundraising Support provides limited cash contributions, sponsorship of special events, and in-kind support to organizations enriching community life within 50 miles of a James Avery retail location. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) certified and focus on arts, community improvement, veteran support, and wellness. Requests must be made at least 60 days prior to events, and organizations can receive support only once per year.

The Local Sportsmen’s Group Grant Program, established by the Arizona Game and Fish Commission in 2007, aims to support local sportsmen’s groups focused on wildlife conservation. This initiative fosters collaboration between these groups and the Arizona Game and Fish Department, preserving outdoor recreational traditions and ensuring sustainable funding for wildlife management. With $75,000 available, the program exemplifies a user-pay model that does not utilize state taxpayer funds, promoting active participation in conservation efforts across Arizona.

Arizona 501(c) organizations, government entities, and state-recognized nonprofits can seek funding to support firearms safety, shooting sports, hunting safety, and marksmanship programs. Focused on firearm education and public benefit, the NRA Foundation invites applicants whose youth or community sports activities advance safe, charitable, and educational use of firearms. Awards range from US $3,000 - US $5,000.

Dollar Tree Gift Card Program 2026

Every Kindness is a Gift is a gift card grant program made possible through the generosity of Dollar Tree and managed by the team here at Gift Card Bank. We are a nonprofit organization that specializes in the distribution of gift cards and our mission is to improve well-being and build financial stability by supporting people through their time of need.

Through Every Kindness is a Gift, nonprofit organizations and Title I schools located in the 48 contiguous states may apply to receive a grant of Dollar Tree gift cards.

Gift cards received through these grants are meant to be distributed directly to individuals and families in need. A primary goal of the program is to give gift card recipients the dignity of choice by empowering them to shop for what they need themselves. By putting gift cards directly in the hands of our neighbors in need, we are able to increase access to essentials like food, school supplies, paper products, cleaning products, and hygiene items.

In 2026, there will be two rounds of grant distributions. In each round, we will award a number of grants between $2,500 and $10,000.

Round One is a summer distribution. Gift cards awarded in Round One will arrive in late June, while kids are on break and back-to-school is around the corner. Round Two is a holiday distribution. Gift cards awarded in Round Two will arrive in early November, as the end-of-year holidays approach.

We know that these are times of year when budgets are tight. Through these gift card grants, we hope to connect individuals and families directly to the essential resources they need during difficult months.

Arizona rural communities, local governments, nonprofits, and tribes facing threats to safe drinking water can seek Emergency Community Water Assistance Grants to repair or build water systems. Focused on sanitation and clean drinking water, USDA Rural Development offers up to US $1,000,000 for water source, treatment, and transmission projects that may benefit youth sports facilities and programs.

The Gridiron Veterans Scholarship, provided by the Bob Woodruff Foundation, offers essential financial support for military veterans and first responders. This initiative focuses on wellness, rehabilitation, and recovery programs, ensuring participants can access mental health services, physical therapy, and holistic resources. The foundation prioritizes those facing emotional and physical challenges, empowering them to overcome barriers and improve their quality of life through customized, evidence-based support.

James Avery Corporate Grants support 501(c)(3) organizations located within 50 miles of a James Avery retail or corporate location. The foundation prioritizes projects that enrich community life, focusing on arts, veteran services, and wellness. Grants typically range from $10,000 to $25,000, with applications accepted once per year. Organizations must demonstrate community impact, effective management, and provide necessary documentation for eligibility. Note that certain types of funding, such as for individuals or for-profit organizations, are excluded.

The Desert Tortoise Council offers a Regular Grants Program to support projects aimed at the conservation and management of desert tortoise populations and their habitats. Grant requests are accepted year-round, with priority given to emergency responses, impactful projects, and those that leverage additional funding. Grants are awarded based on availability and a majority vote by the Board, ensuring that significant conservation issues are addressed effectively.

The XENO PRIZE for Performance Arts, awarded by Franklin Furnace, supports early-career LGBTQ+-identifying performance artists creating new work in 26 states with restrictive gender-affirming laws. This annual prize, established in 2023, offers $5000 to a selected recipient from proposals submitted for the Franklin Furnace FUND for Performance Art. The deadline for submissions is April 1, 2025, encouraging innovative voices in the contemporary performance art landscape.

Bashas’ Purposeful Giving initiative focuses on supporting organizations that align with its community-driven pillars, including child welfare, food access, and sustainability. Since its inception in 1932, Bashas’ has contributed over $100 million to local causes, emphasizing the importance of health and wellness. Organizations must be located within Bashas’ operational areas and hold a 501(c)(3) status. Requests are reviewed within four weeks through an online portal, with specific guidelines to ensure alignment with Bashas' mission.

The Native American Affairs program for Fiscal Year 2025 aims to provide crucial funding for drought relief projects that support federally recognized tribes in the Colorado River Basin. The initiative focuses on enhancing drought resiliency, improving water delivery efficiency, and addressing drinking water shortages. With a maximum award of $1,000,000 per tribe, this program encourages collaboration and aligns with federal priorities to effectively mitigate drought impacts within tribal communities.

The Sexual Assault Services Program (SASP) in Arizona, administered by the Governor's Office of Youth, Faith and Family, allocates over $1.2 million to support vital services for victims of sexual assault. The TourWest Grants, funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, aim to support presenters and organizations in the Western region by providing flexible funding for touring artists. This competitive grant encourages community engagement and outreach, fostering collaboration between artists and local communities. Arizona 501(c)(3) nonprofits with $100,000+ budgets can seek funding for youth skill-building, job readiness, and development programs, including arts and cultural access. RBC Foundation USA provides Arizona organizations with support for initiatives that build in-demand skills, offer internships or mentorships, and help young people bridge school-to-work transitions in communities where RBC Wealth Management is present.

The Dunkin' Joyful Spaces Grant supports children's hospitals and community health centers in creating joyful environments for pediatric patients. Launched in 2022, this initiative helps fund play areas, healing gardens, and other kid-friendly spaces, enhancing the hospital experience. Grants typically range from $25,000 to $65,000 annually, with a maximum of $150,000 over three years. This opportunity encourages creativity in designing spaces that provide comfort and joy to children and their families during hospital stays.
