The Ellwood City Community Health Foundation will issue scholarships each year to individuals who enroll in higher education to pursue a career in the medical field. The individual needs to be a resident of either Ellwood City, Lawrence County, or Beaver County, Pennsylvania.

ACF Memorial Scholarship

This memorial scholarship supports current or former foster care youth and first generation students in Arizona. 

MATRA Scholarship

Awards:

One time award of $7,500. Students may reapply for this scholarship for continued support based on their GPA for up to three years.

The Champion At Large Scholarship, offered by the Cherokee Nation Foundation, supports Cherokee Nation citizens who are full-time students or graduating high school seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.0. This one-year scholarship is specifically for those residing outside the Cherokee Nation jurisdiction and accepted into a two-year or four-year higher education institution. It aims to alleviate student debt and enhance educational opportunities for Cherokee students.

Margaret A. Stafford Nursing Scholarship

Award:

• One time award of $2,000. 

Ken Cicerale Memorial Music Scholarship

Award:

• One time award of $1,000. 

Keisha M. Michael Memorial Scholarship

• “How a college education will help me make an impact on the community and affect my life.”

Award:

• One time award of $1,500. Awardees can re-apply.

Julie H. Shenk Memorial Scholarship

Award:

• One time award of $1,000.

FCA Foundation Scholarship

Award:

• One time award of $5,000. 

The Tommy Aaron/Charlie Aaron Foundation Scholarship, managed by the North Georgia Community Foundation, supports graduating seniors from Hall County or Gainesville City public schools and Lakeview Academy. This $10,000 scholarship, distributed over four years, promotes academic achievement and integrity through golf. Eligible applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, demonstrate financial need, and exhibit strong character traits. This initiative aims to empower local students to pursue higher education while honoring the values of sportsmanship and respect.

The Mark B. Holzman Scholarship, offered by the Delaware Community Foundation, provides a one-time award of $2,500 to eligible Delaware residents. Applicants must have graduated from an accredited undergraduate institution and been accepted into an accredited graduate program in fields such as medicine, law, or ministry. The Eleanor B. and Henry H. Stroud, M.D. Memorial Scholarship, offered by the Delaware Community Foundation, provides a one-time award of $5,000 to Delaware residents pursuing medical degrees. This scholarship emphasizes excellence, ethics, and compassion in medicine, along with financial need and academic promise. Eligible applicants can reapply for up to four annual awards, with special consideration for those demonstrating innovation in medicine. The Robert W. Scrivner Award for Creative Grantmaking was originally created and endowed by friends and colleagues in 1984 as a tribute to Robert Scrivner, a former staff associate of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and first executive director of the Rockefeller Family Fund.

This prestigious award has historically recognized outstanding creativity in grantmaking at the individual level. Starting in 2021, it now recognizes a grantmaking organization that, with a combination of vision, principle, and commitment, is making a critical difference in an innovative way.

• Creativity: The grantmaking organization demonstrates a flexible and adaptable approach to grantmaking, leveraging innovative practices and creating new and better ways of operating.
• Vision: The grantmaking organization embodies their vision throughout their daily practices and procedures.
• Principle: The grantmaking organization operates with integrity and principles, and this is shown throughout their engagement with their nonprofit partners and other stakeholders.
• Trust: The grantmaking organization centers trust in its relationships with its nonprofit partners and other stakeholders and furthers public trust in philanthropy.

Through your nomination, you can acknowledge the work of a trustee or staff member working in philanthropy who has made a critical difference in the field and demonstrated leadership in times of crisis, charting new paths for the social sector.One supplemental material upload is required (no more than five total items) may be uploaded to provide documentation and support of achievements. These supplemental materials may include, but not limited to: reference letter, endorsement, or letter of support for the nomination from the community leadership (i.e., nonprofit, grantee partner, or a government leader), videos, news articles, report, or publication, organizational strategic plan or annual report, or individuals resume.
