CFSNM Student Success Scholarship

To award outstanding academic students from Doña Ana County in Southern New Mexico

The Names Family Foundation, established by Scott and Sis Names in 1996, is dedicated to enhancing community health and wellness through sports and physical education. Inspired by their humble beginnings, the foundation supports nonprofit organizations that promote healthy lifestyles and athletic opportunities, primarily in the Pierce County region. Their philanthropic commitment reflects the belief that everyone deserves access to sports and the chance to lead a healthy life, impacting lives today and for future generations.

The Clovis Community Foundation provides grants to nonprofit organizations aimed at enhancing culture, arts, and recreation in Clovis. With a maximum award of $10,000, projects must directly benefit Clovis citizens and focus on capital facilities or programs. Eligible applicants must have a tax ID, submit a concise proposal, and include letters of support. The foundation emphasizes partnerships and aims to foster philanthropic efforts that enrich the community's quality of life.

The Community Arts Access Tier 1 & 2 Grants offer funding up to $4,000 for arts activities to both arts and non-arts organizations, as well as unincorporated groups. This program supports diverse projects such as art festivals, exhibitions, and performance series. First-time applicants are encouraged to consult with the program officer to ensure eligibility and refine project ideas. This initiative aims to enhance community engagement through the arts.

The Public Art Across Maryland New Artworks Grant, managed by the Maryland State Arts Council, offers funding for the creation and installation of new public art projects. This initiative supports local artists and organizations by facilitating community engagement in the arts. Grants cover the planning, design, and installation phases, ensuring that the resulting artworks are accessible to all. This program champions creative expression and enhances the cultural landscape of Maryland.

The SDAC Technical Assistance Grant offers matching funds to South Dakota nonprofit arts organizations for specialized consultation on technical, programmatic, and administrative issues. This funding supports 50% of the consultant's fees and related expenses, ensuring organizations have access to expertise not available in-house. Eligible applicants must provide a clear description of their needs, the qualifications of their chosen consultant, and a budget demonstrating a realistic cash match. Notably, colleges and universities are ineligible for this grant.

The Kansas Department of Commerce is committed to helping individuals, businesses and communities achieve prosperity in Kansas. One of the ways it accomplishes this mission is by providing financial assistance and partnership support to further identified goals. 

Broadband Acceleration Grant

Purpose and Goals

The Broadband Acceleration Grant Program is a critical program in Kansas’ plan to address broadband gaps. The Program is designed to offset capital expenses in the deployment of broadband to unserved areas in three distinct funding categories: 1) Last Mile, 2) Line Extension and 3) Middle Mile. The goal of this program is to facilitate broadband access to all Kansans while promoting practices that increase deployment and encourage adoption.

Goals

• Target economically distressed areas unlikely to receive broadband service without state or federal funding
• Focus on enabling last mile and line extension locations, and middle mile segments.
• Deploy reliable broadband solutions with speeds at or greater than 100 Mbps download and 20 Mbps (100/20 Mbps) upload.
• Deploy middle mile segments supporting speeds at or greater than symmetrical 10 Gbps

Funding Priorities

The following items are BAG 6.0 funding priorities:

• Critical broadband needs within a community or rural area
• Lack of access to an affordable, reliable high-speed broadband connection
• Geographic Distribution of Grant Funds: The State of Kansas may geographically distribute awards to ensure that all Kansas regions can participate in connecting Kansans
• Serve Economically Distressed Counties that are unserved

Match Requirement: 50%

The MSAC Arts in Education Grant, offered by the Maryland State Arts Council, supports Maryland-based non-profit organizations and government entities through matching funds for educational programs led by Teaching Artists. This initiative aims to enhance arts education in schools and communities, ensuring financial support is available for engaging artistic experiences. By acting as a financial intermediary, MSAC streamlines payments to Teaching Artists, ensuring they receive the full budgeted amount while fostering a vibrant arts education ecosystem across Maryland.

The MSAC Folklife Network Grant, administered by the Maryland State Arts Council, supports organizations that function as regional folklife centers throughout Maryland. This funding aims to identify, document, and present the living cultural traditions of the state’s diverse communities, fostering collaboration and cultural engagement. Established following recommendations from folklife experts, this program highlights the importance of preserving Maryland's rich cultural heritage through various artistic initiatives.

ADECA Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) 

The Community Development Block Grant program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and the State of Alabama has administered the program since 1982.

The program is available to all non-entitlement communities (those not receiving direct funds from HUD) that meet applicable thresholds

All projects must meet one of the three national objectives:

• Benefit at least 51% low and moderate income persons
• Aid in the prevention or clearance of slum and blight
• Meet an urgent need

The State is required to write an action plan each year for approval by HUD that shows how the State intends to distribute the funds. Since the beginning, Alabama has distributed the majority of funds through competition among communities.

Economic Development Fund (ED)

The ED Infrastructure Fund is available to all eligible communities for projects supporting the creation or retention of jobs. Applicants for ED assistance should have a commitment from the business to create or retain 15 or more jobs. The business should fall within the SIC codes 20-39 or provide a significant economic benefit. Projects must not include intrastate relocation. The program is available on a continuous funding cycle. A 20 percent local match is required, and construction cannot begin prior to grant award or release of environmental conditions.

Grant Ceiling:

• $400,000 (can be waived)

Typical activities: water, sewer, or road improvements; rail spurs, docks, etc.

• Economic Development Incubator ($400,000)
• Economic Development Float Loans ($10 million)

The Rhode Island State Council on the Arts offers Project Grants in Education to foster artistic engagement in schools and communities. These grants support schools, arts educators, and nonprofits in delivering high-quality arts education experiences. Aiming to enhance students' learning through art, the program encourages collaboration and creativity while ensuring equitable access for diverse communities. With funding up to $10,000 for organizations and $3,000 for individuals, these grants empower teaching artists and enrich Rhode Island's cultural landscape.

The Peter H. Brink Leadership Fund, supported by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, aims to enhance the capabilities of preservation organizations through mentoring and organizational development. Grants cover travel and mentor honoraria, fostering collaboration and peer-to-peer learning. Applications are accepted year-round on a rolling basis, prioritizing those who previously applied but did not receive funding. Eligible applicants include Forum members and nonprofit organizations, with a focus on innovative ideas for mentorship opportunities.

The VCA Education Impact Grants aim to enhance arts education across Virginia by funding hands-on programs and residencies that engage students and communities. Eligible applicants include Virginia schools and nonprofit organizations, with a focus on professional development for artists and educators. A 1:1 cash match is required for funding, ensuring that projects are sustainable and impactful. This initiative fosters creativity and collaboration, enriching the educational landscape in both traditional and non-traditional settings.

About ACSM

ACSM is the largest sports medicine and exercise science organization in the world, with nearly 50,000 international, national and regional members and certified fitness professionals.

ACSM Fellowship

CSM Fellow members have demonstrated high standards of professional development and shown a commitment to the goals and long‑range activities of the college.

The purpose of fellowship is to recognize commendable service to ACSM; to encourage continued service to the College in a leadership role with ongoing dedication; also, to recognize distinguished achievement in sports medicine and related disciplines.

About the DNR

Preserving and enhancing the natural resources of Wisconsin

In keeping with our mission, the DNR is dedicated to working with Wisconsinites while preserving and enhancing the natural resources of Wisconsin. In partnership with individuals and organizations, DNR staff manage fish, wildlife, forests, parks, air and water resources while promoting a healthy, sustainable environment and a full range of outdoor opportunities.

Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) Program

This is a federal program administered in all states that encourages the creation and interpretation of high-quality outdoor recreational opportunities. Funds received by the DNR for this program are split between DNR projects and grants to local governments for outdoor recreation activities. Grants cover up to 50% of eligible project costs. LWCF grants provide local units of governments, tribes, and school districts opportunities to receive grants for outdoor recreation activities. Payment of grant funds is on a reimbursement basis.

Public access is fundamental to this grant program. Reasonable public access is required for any property purchased or developed with grant funds. The DNR can help determine what constitutes appropriate and reasonable public access for grant-funded properties. 

The Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation Grant aims to promote oral health equity by addressing the unique needs of diverse communities. Through funding initiatives focused on prevention, access to care, and workforce development, the foundation seeks to eliminate health disparities linked to race, income, and geography. By supporting programs that target root causes of oral health issues, the foundation is committed to fostering long-term change and ensuring that everyone has access to a healthy mouth.

The Georgia Arts: Arts Education Program Grant aims to enhance arts education for K-12 students by supporting programs from Georgia organizations, schools, and agencies. With grants ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, it funds both one-time events and ongoing programs that align with Georgia Learning Standards. The initiative promotes a cohesive artistic experience, encouraging applications for virtual programming options, ensuring that the transformative power of the arts can reach diverse student populations.

The North Carolina Arts Council offers Grassroots Arts Program Grants to support local arts councils across the state. These grants provide essential funding for arts programming, ensuring communities have access to diverse cultural experiences. Eligible nonprofit organizations can apply for funding to support their arts initiatives, while funds must be allocated to reflect the racial and ethnic diversity of North Carolina's population. This program aims to enhance community engagement through the arts.

The NCAC Grassroots Arts Program Grants provide essential funding for arts initiatives in all 100 counties of North Carolina. These grants aim to enhance community access to the arts through partnerships with local arts councils and provisional county partners. Eligible organizations must be nonprofit and demonstrate a commitment to quality arts programming. The program encourages diverse cultural representation and supports various arts-related projects, ensuring that all communities can experience the richness of local arts.

The Historic Preservation Education Grant, offered by Indiana Humanities, aims to educate citizens about the importance of preserving historic places in their communities. The grant funds various educational formats, including workshops, presentations, and digital projects like webinars and online exhibits. In 2025, Indiana Humanities plans to award nine or ten grants, encouraging projects that foster community engagement and raise awareness of historic preservation's value.

The Family Innovations Test Grant, offered by the Ontario Trillium Foundation, empowers parent-led grassroots organizations in Ontario to explore innovative solutions that support the well-being of families. This initiative recognizes the importance of diverse cultural perspectives and aims to address systemic barriers faced by Indigenous and Black caregivers. By fostering community-led projects, the grant helps create networks of support, ensuring families can navigate challenges and enhance their social and economic stability.

The Ontario Trillium Foundation's Family Innovations Scale Grant supports grassroots projects led by parents and caregivers. This grant aims to enhance and expand initiatives that engage families, particularly those facing systemic barriers. Eligible groups must have a proven track record of delivering projects for over two years, demonstrating their commitment to improving community well-being. By providing funding, the OTF seeks to empower diverse communities, fostering stronger relationships and cultural connections among families.
