Their initiatives include partnerships, employee volunteering, and donations aligned with their mission. They prioritize organizations that support diversity and inclusion while ensuring compliance with their non-discrimination policies. Eligible entities must be registered 501(c)(3) organizations or equivalent, enhancing community welfare where Athene employees live and work.

The Get Out and Get Active Grant by the Anxiety & Depression Initiative supports innovative projects that promote the mental health benefits of physical activity. This funding aims to reduce anxiety and depression through community fitness programs and educational campaigns, emphasizing the intersection of physical activity and mental health. Eligible applicants include nonprofits and academic institutions in the U.S. seeking to enhance well-being and integrate active lifestyles for individuals living with mental illness.

The Impact100 Global Veterans Awards empower women to make a significant difference by awarding grants up to $100,000 to nonprofits that serve veterans. Focus areas include art and culture, education, health and wellness, environment, and family initiatives, promoting the well-being and support of veterans across the United States. Eligible organizations must meet specific criteria, including tax-exempt status, and are encouraged to submit proposals that utilize funds effectively within two years.

The Thriving Community Impact Fund supports local events and initiatives that promote health and well-being in the community. Applications should be submitted at least 12 weeks prior to the event date. The fund prioritizes non-profit organizations, schools, and government agencies that align with the Health System’s Community Health Improvement Plan. Event sponsorships, local memberships, and partnerships are encouraged to enhance community engagement and address social needs, ultimately fostering a healthier community.

The Community Partnership Fund: Event Sponsorships provides support for organizations aiming to enhance health equity in Montgomery and Prince George's Counties. Grants of up to $5,000 are available, focusing on projects that address health disparities, promote healthy behaviors, and build equitable communities. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with a requirement for submission at least 10 weeks before the event. New applicants must consult with CPF staff prior to applying.

The Community Partnership Fund by Adventist HealthCare offers program grants over $5,000 to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations addressing health disparities in Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties. Applicants must demonstrate alignment with key health priorities, including access to care, promoting healthy behaviors, and educational equity. This initiative aims to enhance community wellness and equity through measurable impacts in underserved populations. First-time applicants are required to consult with the Community Partnership Fund Team before applying.

The Therapeutic Giving initiative by Johnson & Johnson focuses on funding programs in neuroscience aimed at enhancing patient access to treatments and promoting health equity. Nonprofit organizations classified as 501(c)(3) can apply for support from March 1 to May 31. The initiative emphasizes innovative, measurable programs in areas like Alzheimer’s disease and mental health, prioritizing those that address healthcare disparities and improve quality of life for affected individuals.

The Community Wellbeing Grant, offered by the Lululemon Centre for Social Impact, aims to enhance wellbeing through movement, mindfulness, and connection. This grant supports community-led non-profits working to address systemic inequities, helping to build access to wellness resources. Applications are encouraged from organizations that prioritize diverse leadership and serve populations facing barriers to wellbeing. FY27 Healthy Communities Fund (HCF) Grants Program

Program Summary:

The Asian American Health Initiative, part of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and the Office of Grants Management (OGM) are soliciting grant applications for the County’s FY2027 Healthy Communities Fund Grants Program from qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. This grant program seeks qualified service providers to administer culturally and linguistically appropriate programs and services that improve the health and wellness of Montgomery County residents with a particular focus on Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities. If submitting a funding request above $50,000, applicants are encouraged to collaborate with other community organizations to ensure a coordinated, community-driven approach that maximizes resources.

The Healthy Communities Fund will award grants of up to $250,000 after a thorough competitive review of all completed proposals. Community organizations of all sizes are encouraged to apply as there is no minimum amount to request for funding. $1,600,000 is available in funding. Organizations requesting $50,000 or less will complete a shorter application to reduce administrative burden and promote equitable access, while those requesting more than $50,000 will complete the full set of application materials. This approach supports equal opportunity by ensuring that smaller organizations—often with fewer resources—can participate without facing disproportionate barriers. Please ensure that completed attachments align with the application’s funding request.

The amount of funding awarded will be based on the budget justification, alignment of the budget with the proposed program, and organizational capacity to perform the proposed program. The award amount may differ from the funding amount requested.

Funded programs must emphasize collaborative, evidence-based approaches and focus on culturally and linguistically appropriate services in at least one of the following categories:

• Health and Social Support Services – Provide linguistically accessible and culturally appropriate services that improve health and/or enhance access to health or social support services
• Mental and Behavioral Health – Activities aimed at reducing stigma around seeking behavioral health services and encourage people to seek treatment
• Senior Wellness – Provide linguistically accessible information and social support to limited English Proficient seniors.

• Health and Wellness
  • Ensuring that all people in the area have equitable opportunities to lead healthy lifestyles by expanding access to healthy foods, wellness programs and space for recreation and physical activity.
• Community Development and Revitalization
  • Improving the quality of neighborhoods by increasing the marketability of properties, stabilizing and improving housing, and promoting redevelopment and investment.
