The City of Boston is offering a grant to recruit and offer work experience opportunities to immigrant youth, ensuring that their program involvement is engaging, meaningful, and a building block for their professional development and personal success. Organizations will provide leadership development and professional skills attainment in a culturally and linguistically sensitive manner, offering access to programs that are essential to their economic and social inclusion. In collaboration with nonprofit organizations across the City, we seek to support program models that offer immigrant youth the 21st-century skills to succeed when they enter the workforce as well as early exposure to various career paths.
The Immigrant Youth Advancement (IYA) Program pairs diverse students with immigrant-serving non-profits across the city of Boston to provide professional, hands-on experience, vital life skills, for their future development as community leaders. With a focus on inclusivity, the program caters to youth ages 14-24, with summer participants committing 20 hours weekly for six weeks. The IYA program ensures equal opportunities for personal and professional growth for youth, regardless of immigration status.

Summer Learn and Earn Program
The Summer Learn and Earn Program is a unique opportunity for rising high school juniors and seniors to earn a stipend while taking college level courses.
Grant Program Description
The Summer Learn and Earn (SLE) 2026 Grant Program supports Boston-based higher education institutions in delivering high-quality, credit-bearing summer coursework for rising high school juniors and seniors. SLE provides students with the opportunity to earn 3–4 college credits over a seven-week term while receiving a stipend, allowing young people to pursue academic learning without sacrificing summer income.
College partners will design courses taught by qualified faculty and supported by academic coaches, integrating targeted activities that build college and career readiness, financial literacy, and professional skills.

Successlink Youth Employment Program — Grant Partners
The Office of Youth Employment and Opportunity (YEO) is issuing this SuccessLink Youth Jobs Partnership Application to interested and eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, community-based organizations, and public institutions of higher education in the City of Boston in order to provide employment opportunities to our priority population of youth participants between the ages of 14-18, and young adults between the ages of 19-24 for the Summer 2026 and 2026-2027 school year across a diverse range of organizations and industry sectors.
YEO selection process aims to identify organizations that provide evidence-based professional skill development that equips youth to successfully engage in the workforce, as well as offer opportunities in keeping with the City of Boston' focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Quality Improvement in Molecular Testing Pathways for Metastatic Colorectal Cancer (mCRC)
The American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), in collaboration with Pfizer Inc. and with participation from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO, invites proposals for pathology-centric Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives aimed at optimizing molecular testing pathways in the management of metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). This grant opportunity seeks to fund sustainable projects that improve biomarker testing practices, strengthen targeted therapy selection, and support care teams in implementing patient-centered protocols.
The overarching goal of this program is to advance diagnostic excellence and improve treatment decision-making for patients with mCRC.

The scholarship fund is administered by the Rick Chapman Legacy League Board, composed of Rick's high school friends who would visit Rick at Chuck Wagon when in town, longtime customers and neighbors from the community, and an overall eclectic mix of people from different walks of life that Rick welcomed. The board and several other Rick Chapman friends and fans host an annual golf outing near Rick's birthday in August to raise money for scholarships. Entry fees, sponsorships, and a silent auction contribute to the scholarship fund. The Rick Chapman Legacy League Scholarship honors Rick’s memory and commitment to fostering entrepreneurship. By investing in local students, the Legacy League hopes to inspire students to follow in Rick's footsteps, contributing to the vibrancy of the Mason County community.

Bethany Lutheran Church Scholarship
This scholarship has been made possible by the generosity of the Bethany Lutheran Church Congregational Council, which established the Bethany Lutheran Church Scholarship Fund of the Community Foundation for Mason County.
In the 1870s, Danish immigrants to the Ludington area met to pursue a dream to worship God, provide Christian education, and support one another through fellowship. In 1878 they established the Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church, which later became Bethany Lutheran Church. Danish language worship services were held into the 1940s. A mural depicting Bethany's longest-serving pastor, The Reverend John Christensen, can be viewed from the parking lot west of the James Street Plaza. The congregation continued to worship and serve the community from its 1101 South Madison location until 2018 when, due to declining membership and financial support, it sold the church building to the Salvation Army and accepted the invitation of Grace Episcopal Church to share its building. Bethany held worship services there until March of 2019. As a memorial to all those who were a part of Bethany's ministry and in support of young people desiring post-high school education, Bethany's last act of service was establishing an endowed scholarship fund through the Community Foundation for Mason County.

He was a board designer and a member of the Varsity Quiz Bowl Team at Ludington High School. Adam actively participated in Spelling Bees and Math Counts and was a state finalist in the You Be the Chemist competition. Family and Faith were also of the utmost importance in his life.
