Applicants can be from any high school in Marion and its six contiguous counties. Special consideration is given to college upperclassmen who are majoring in the fields of science or health care.

The UCP Research Grant Program aims to enhance clinical and translational research focused on cerebral palsy and related neurodevelopmental disabilities. Grants of up to $20K support innovative studies, with a preference for projects addressing early diagnosis and treatment. Applications from U.S. and Canadian researchers are encouraged, particularly from those affiliated with UCP. Three Sisters Nursing Scholarship

Marion Community Foundation has had a scholarship program for students of the Marion area since 2000. The Foundation provides approximately a quarter of a million dollars a year in scholarship awards to support the college aspirations of local scholars. Building on this long-standing scholarship effort, in 2016, a group of donors chose to anonymously support students from the Marion area who wish to pursue a career in nursing; thus, the Three Sisters Nursing Scholarship Fund was created. 

While wishing to remain anonymous, the donors of this scholarship expressed great respect for the medical profession and have had nurses, midwives, doctors, and other medical professionals among their family members for generations. This scholarship is their way to both give back for the blessings of their own careers and to provide a path for a future generation dedicated to helping others.

Recipients of this scholarship award may be high school seniors or graduates from any school in Marion County who have lived in the Marion area for two or more years and are pursuing, or intending to pursue, an education in the field of nursing that will result in an associate degree or above and qualify for a license as a Registered Nurse.

The Rising Investigator Supplement Grant, offered by the AASM Foundation, empowers sleep and circadian science researchers to mentor promising students and fellows facing barriers in accessing research opportunities. This grant supports innovative projects addressing critical questions in sleep health and fosters career development in the field. Eligible candidates include students and clinical fellows in various educational stages. Funding is available for up to 20% of the principal grant, capped at $50,000, for periods ranging from 8 weeks to 3 years.

The Mary Ellen Kowalski Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of Mary Ellen, a dedicated educator and community member. Established by her husband in 2025, this scholarship aims to support graduating high school seniors from Marathon County pursuing post-secondary education. Applicants are evaluated on their academic achievements, extracurricular involvement, and personal challenges, ensuring that deserving students receive the financial assistance needed to succeed in their educational endeavors.

S.C. Blood Family Fund Grant

To fund projects dedicated to the agricultural heritage of the lives of Barry County residents, celebrating or supporting the legacy of family farms and our close-knit communities. Initiatives that benefit the Irving, Carlton, Woodland, and Castleton area will be considered.

The Burney and Lucy Lehman Scholarship, managed by the Decatur County Community Foundation, provides financial support for up to four years of post-secondary education to graduating seniors from North and South Decatur High Schools. This scholarship aims to assist students who face challenges in pursuing higher education, promoting academic success and community engagement. This scholarship aims to ease financial burdens and encourage community involvement, fostering the foundation's mission to create a lasting impact in Decatur County.

The ARS Sue Ann and John L. Weinberg Foundation Cystic Fibrosis Chronic Rhinosinusitis Grant offers $20,000 for one year to support emerging researchers in the study of cystic fibrosis-related chronic rhinosinusitis. Eligible applicants must be members of the American Rhinologic Society with no significant prior funding. Awards fluctuate annually based on applicant qualifications and available funding, ensuring support aligns with need-based criteria. To qualify, applicants must demonstrate Tribal affiliation through a Tribal Eligibility Certificate. This initiative aims to empower Indigenous scholars in their academic pursuits.

The Funding the Future of Finance in Indian Country/Johnson Scholarship offers financial support to eligible American Indian and Alaska Native undergraduate students pursuing full-time degrees in business, accounting, or finance. The program aims to enhance diversity in these fields and provides awards of up to $10,000 per academic year based on need. Applicants must demonstrate Tribal affiliation through a Tribal Eligibility Certificate.

This RFP invites proposals that explore the role of maintenance therapy in HER2+ metastatic breast cancer. It aims to enhance understanding of treatment optimization, emphasizing patient quality of life and individualized treatment strategies.
