The BURGER KING Scholars: Employee-Based Track provides scholarships for employees and their families pursuing undergraduate, graduate, or enrichment programs at accredited institutions. With nearly $64 million awarded to over 55,000 students, this initiative aims to support academic success and empower individuals through education. Eligible applicants include employees, spouses, partners, and dependent children, with awards of up to $1,000 based on financial need and academic performance. This program reflects the Burger King Foundation's commitment to education and community support.

This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is one of three NOFOs for the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP). NCORP is designed to enhance generalizability and dissemination of clinical trial results through accrual in a variety of community settings. The purpose of NCORP is to engage cancer patient populations, those at risk of cancer, and organizations in rigorous studies focused on cancer control, prevention, treatment and care delivery.NCORP will support the following components that will be individually awarded through the respective RFAs indicated below:

• NCORP Research Bases (UG1 Clinical Trials Required);
• NCORP Community Sites (UG1 Clinical Trials Not Allowed); and
• NCORP Academic Community Sites (UG1 Clinical Trials Not Allowed)

NCORP Community Sites are consortia of community hospitals and/or oncology practices, which may or may not be formally affiliated in a healthcare system, that accrues participants to cancer control, prevention, treatment and care delivery clinical trials and other human subjects research.

The Kathryn Cramer Early Career Research Development Award provides essential start-up funding for orthopedic trauma surgeons in the U.S. and Canada, who have completed their fellowship within the last five years. This award aims to support innovative research projects that can be accomplished within two years, fostering professional development and collaboration among surgeons. Applicants must be members of AO Trauma and demonstrate early success in their research endeavors.

The Elsa U. Pardee Foundation has been a pioneer in cancer research funding since 1944, providing over $110 million to more than 300 institutions across the U.S. It supports innovative approaches by both new and established researchers, ensuring diverse ideas receive necessary funding. Additionally, the Foundation addresses immediate financial needs for cancer patients, allocating about one-third of its grants to assist those in need. This dual focus on research and patient support distinguishes the Foundation in the fight against cancer.

The Massachusetts Italian American Charitable Society Scholarship, offered by the National Italian American Foundation, supports outstanding Italian American students residing in Massachusetts. To qualify, applicants must maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher and hold an active NIAF membership, which can be through a parent or grandparent. This scholarship aims to foster the cultural heritage of Italian Americans while aiding students in their academic pursuits.

The NIAF Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation Scholarship, awarded by the National Italian American Foundation, supports outstanding Italian American students pursuing higher education. Eligible candidates include incoming freshmen, undergraduates, or graduate students, preferably with a permanent residence in Florida and a minimum GPA of 3.5. This scholarship emphasizes the importance of maintaining Italian heritage, encouraging students to engage with their cultural roots while pursuing academic excellence.

The Scholarship Program

The Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts administers over 160 scholarships. Some of the funds help students from a particular school or area; others provide financial assistance to those pursuing a specific field of study; still others assist students that are most in need. Students who apply to the Scholarship program may be eligible for many of these funds.

• Scholarships may be used to offset tuition, fees, room and board, and other items included as part of the cost for attending the institution. 
• Most scholarships are for students who live in Franklin, Hampshire, and Hampden Counties. However, some are also available to students who live in Berkshire County and Hartford County in Connecticut.
• We offer scholarships to those who attend on either a full-time or part-time basis. 
• Any student who plans to enroll for the upcoming fall semester, in any year of college as an undergraduate or graduate student and who will attend an accredited post-secondary school in the United States may apply.
• Scholarships are provided for one academic year and are not automatically renewed each year. You can reapply to our program every year you are going to attend college, and the application you submit that year will be considered for all scholarships for which you are eligible.

John-Elizabeth Blaho Miller Fund

The John-Elizabeth Blaho Miller Fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation was created to provide scholarship assistance for students, with a preference for students who have an awareness and appreciation of Hungarian culture, including its history, customs, and traditions, and who are undertaking a theological education in preparation for a ministry that draws upon Lutheran teachings in its worldview. John C. Miller was born in Budapest October 1910. In 1921 he immigrated to the United States with his parents (John Miller and Elizabeth Blaho Miller) where they resided in Ambridge, PA. For several years John was the manager of five motion picture houses owned by the Chateau Amusement Company. In 1955 he became a program supervisor at Buhl Planetarium where he retired at the age of 67 in 1977. In December 2001 John established this scholarship in memory of his parents.

Award Type: Single Year. Previous recipients are encouraged to re-apply in consecutive years.

Vocational Education Merit Award Fund

The Vocational Education Merit Scholarship was created to provide scholarships to two graduating high school seniors who have excelled academically and is a nomination based award.

Award Type: Single-Year Award

The AOFAS Resident Scholarship Program provides orthopaedic residents from the US and Canada the opportunity to attend the AOFAS Annual Meeting 2025 in Savannah, Georgia. Covering registration fees, lodging, and transportation, this program supports residents interested in foot and ankle surgery. Eligible applicants are PGY1, PGY2, or PGY3 residents who can attend the full program on September 10-11. This unique experience allows networking with leading surgeons and gaining insights into foot and ankle procedures.

The NIAF Gabelli Foundation Scholarship supports Italian graduate students from Bocconi University attending Columbia University’s School of Business for their MBA. Eligible applicants must maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher and possess an active NIAF membership, which can be obtained through a parent or grandparent. This scholarship aims to promote Italian heritage and foster academic excellence among the Italian American community.

The NIAF Jim Cantalupo Scholarship is awarded to exceptional Italian American undergraduate students majoring in Italian, Spanish, or business, requiring a minimum GPA of 3.5. It aims to support those who demonstrate a commitment to Italian culture and heritage. Applicants must hold an active NIAF membership, which can be from a parent or grandparent. This scholarship reflects the National Italian American Foundation's dedication to preserving and promoting the Italian American community.

The Bumble Bee Seafood Company Foundation Scholarship applicants should:

• Have resided in San Diego County for at least one year
• Be graduating high school seniors, current four-year, community college or trade/vocational school students
• Plan to enroll or are currently enrolled in an accredited four-year undergraduate university, community college or trade/vocational school in the United States in fall

• Have a demonstrated financial need

The NIAF Maaco Enterprises, Inc. Scholarship, offered by the National Italian American Foundation, supports outstanding Italian American students originally from Pennsylvania. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher. This prestigious scholarship aims to encourage cultural heritage and academic excellence among Italian Americans, ensuring their contributions to society are recognized and celebrated. Active NIAF membership is required, which can be through a parent or grandparent.

The Richard Perrone Scholarship, offered by the National Italian American Foundation, supports outstanding Italian American undergraduate students in Connecticut majoring in computer science or a related field. Applicants must maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher and hold an active NIAF membership, which can also be obtained through a parent or grandparent. This scholarship not only promotes academic excellence but also encourages students to embrace their Italian heritage.

• Not major in political, social, ethnic studies, and advocacy work

The Salvatore “Sal” Catanese National Scholarship, offered by the National Italian American Foundation, supports outstanding Italian American incoming freshmen. Eligible students must demonstrate financial need and maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years, fostering educational growth within the Italian American community. Preference is given to those with Sicilian heritage, promoting the rich cultural legacy of Italian Americans in the United States.

The Louis A. Caputo, Jr. Legal Scholarship, offered by the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF), supports outstanding Italian American students pursuing law. Applicants must hold an active NIAF membership and maintain a GPA of 3.5 or above, demonstrating a commitment to Italian culture and heritage. This scholarship aims to promote educational excellence and cultural pride among the Italian American community, fostering future leaders in the legal field.

The Marnell Foundation Scholarship, offered by the National Italian American Foundation, aims to support outstanding Italian American students from Nevada. Eligible candidates must maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher and have an active NIAF membership. This scholarship not only promotes academic excellence but also encourages the preservation of Italian culture and heritage among the community. The Martini Foundation/National Italian American Foundation Villanova University Scholarship supports outstanding Italian American students at Villanova University, particularly those from northern New Jersey. Eligible candidates must demonstrate financial need, maintain a GPA of 3.25 or higher, and have an active NIAF membership. This scholarship promotes the importance of Italian heritage and culture, ensuring the legacy of Italian Americans continues to thrive in the United States.

The Drops of Hope Giving Program, initiated by Vapur, aims to enhance environmental sustainability by reducing single-use plastics. This initiative collaborates with organizations to donate thousands of reusable bottles globally, promoting access to clean water. Eligible applicants include registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations or those offering marketing opportunities in exchange for contributions. The CPCF Women’s Giving Circle Scholarship, established by the Crown Point Community Foundation, aims to empower women in South Lake County, IN, over the age of 21 through collective giving.
