Dendel Scholarship

Description

The Handweavers Guild of America, Inc. (HGA) offers the Dendel scholarship for students enrolled in accredited academic programs in the United States and Canada. The scholarship funds students furthering their education in the field of fiber arts, including textile research, history, and conservation. Rather than financial need, scholarship funds are awarded based on artistic and technical excellence and/or on demonstrated excellence in research of textiles, textile history, and textile conservation.

The Dendel Scholarship is made possible by a generous donation in honor of the late Gerald and Esther Dendel to foster studies in handweaving.

Dendel Scholarship funds can be used for tuition as well as materials or travel determined on a case-by-case basis. Applicants will be judged on their skill and dedication to handweaving.

Eligible applicants include otolaryngologists from the U.S. and Canada, including residents and fellows. The grant aims to enhance understanding of inflammatory and allergic diseases affecting both upper and lower airway tracts, promoting evidence-based care and improved patient outcomes.

The American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery Foundation is inviting proposals for the CORE Funding: AHNS Presidential Award, aimed at enhancing value-based care in head and neck oncology. PCM Credit Union Scholarship Program

The PCM Credit Union (PCMCU) offers an annual scholarship program to support members pursuing post-secondary education. PCMCU will award three (3) $1,000 scholarships to students who are beginning or continuing their education as full-time students. Applicants must be primary members of PCMCU, enrolled full-time in a post-secondary institution, and must not have previously received a PCMCU scholarship (effective 2026). A completed application and essay response must be submitted. The essay prompt reflects the credit union’s “people helping people” philosophy and asks students to explore how schools and credit unions can collaborate to promote financial confidence and responsible decision-making among young people.
