Roland C. Packard Memorial Scholarship Fund

To support students who will attend community college and are the first generation to attend college, as defined by the Foundation.

September 11th Remembrance Scholarship Fund

To support graduating high school seniors who reside in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire Counties.

The Serena Scholarship Fund, administered by the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts, supports graduating high school seniors from Springfield, Holyoke, Northampton, Amherst, or Greenfield, with a preference for those pursuing careers in addiction and recovery. Students complete one online application, and the Foundation matches them to various scholarships based on their eligibility. Scholarships can cover tuition, fees, and other educational expenses, promoting educational access for students in the region.

To support male residents of Northampton with a preference for students attending law school. Consideration will be given to students attending medical school or studying to become religious ministers.

The SDIAS Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship for AVID Students, offered by The San Diego Foundation, aims to support San Diego County AVID program participants in pursuing post-secondary education. Eligible applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5, have taken advanced courses, and demonstrate financial need. This scholarship helps underrepresented students access educational opportunities, ensuring that those whose parents did not attend college can achieve their academic goals and contribute to their communities.

The San Pasqual Academy Scholarship, offered by The San Diego Foundation, supports high school seniors who have experienced foster care or reside at San Pasqual Academy. This scholarship aims to empower these students to pursue higher education by enrolling in four-year universities, community colleges, or licensed career/technical schools in the United States. Eligible applicants must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher, ensuring they have the academic foundation to succeed in their educational endeavors.

The Sanor-Graves Scholarship, offered by The San Diego Foundation, supports San Diego County students who are current or former foster youth since age 13. Eligible candidates include graduating high school seniors or current undergraduates who plan to enroll full-time at an accredited four-year university in the U.S. with a minimum GPA of 3.0. This scholarship aims to empower students facing financial challenges, promoting educational opportunities and community engagement.

The San Diego Kiwanis Foundation Scholarship, offered by The San Diego Foundation, supports high school graduates from San Diego County pursuing undergraduate education at local institutions. Eligible applicants must be full-time students at select universities or part-time in approved vocational programs at San Diego City College. This scholarship aims to foster both traditional academic pursuits and skilled trade careers, addressing workforce needs in the region while promoting educational opportunities for deserving students.

The Rubie Eileen Chapman Elementary Scholarship, provided by The San Diego Foundation, supports San Diego County residents pursuing careers in primary education (grades K-3). Eligible applicants are undergraduates at San Diego State University majoring in liberal studies or child development, who have completed at least one academic year. This scholarship aims to empower aspiring educators dedicated to enhancing early childhood education and fostering a bright future for young learners in the community.

The Reuben H. Fleet Memorial Scholarship, offered by The San Diego Foundation, supports high-achieving undergraduate students pursuing degrees in science, engineering, or mathematics. Applicants must be enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year university in San Diego County or, if a resident, at a university elsewhere in the U.S. The scholarship aims to empower STEM students who demonstrate academic excellence and community involvement, fostering future leaders dedicated to enhancing their communities.

The Pittsburgh Foundation

Established in 1945, The Pittsburgh Foundation is one of the nation’s oldest community foundations and as of 2022 is the 18th largest of more than 750 similar foundations across the United States.

As a community foundation, its resources comprise endowment funds established by individuals, businesses and organizations with a passion for charitable giving and fulfilling the Foundation’s mission of improving quality of life for all in the region. The Foundation currently manages about 2,500 individual donor funds and, together with its supporting organizations and its affiliate, The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County, has assets of $1.386 billion (2022). College Club of Pittsburgh Scholarship Fund

The College Club of Pittsburgh Scholarship Fund was created at The Pittsburgh Foundation to provide scholarships for students who have faced social, economic, or educational barriers due to systemic gender inequity, and who were born, lived in or went to school in Western PA to provide support for continuing education.

Award Type: Single Year Award. Previous recipients are encouraged to re-apply in consecutive years.

ACS Graduate Student Success Grant

Purpose

To support graduate students (M.S. and Ph.D.), within one year of degree completion, whose education and training were disrupted due to termination or cancellation of research grants. Funding will be given to the Principal Investigator (PI) of the lab. This one-year award, the ACS Graduate Student Success Grant, will enable students to complete their degree programs. The grant seeks to lower the risk of a declining number of U.S.-trained chemists with advanced degrees, thereby preserving the strength and continuity of the scientific community.

Description

The ACS Graduate Student Success Grant provides $25,000 for one year to a faculty member who lost funding after October 1, 2024, that supports one or more graduate students. The award will also connect supported graduate students to ACS career development resources and programming to catalyze their transition into the workforce.

The grant funds will be awarded to exclusively support graduate students (M.S. and Ph.D.) who are within one year of degree completion and in need of funds to ensure degree completion. This grant supports currently enrolled graduate students who conduct research related to the chemical sciences in a department at a U.S.-based institution of higher education. Each institution of higher education can receive a maximum of one ACS Graduate Student Success Grant.

Applicant must provide a signed letter on institutional letterhead from the Vice President of Research (or equivalent), confirming the institution’s support, including the following:

• The PI’s loss of funding due to grant termination or cancellation after October 1, 2024.
• The names, current academic status, and anticipated graduation time of the impacted graduate students.

The Pittsburgh Foundation provides scholarship opportunities for students to pursue their educational goals. Scholarships are available for graduating high school seniors, undergraduates, graduate, medical and professional school students who are attending community colleges, four–year universities, graduate schools, and career/technical schools.

Pittsburgh ERG Scholarship Fund

The Pittsburgh ERG Scholarship formed by employees of Microsoft delivers on the mission of Microsoft’s local employee resource group to support diversity and inclusion. This scholarship enables high school students with disabilities and/or financial needs to go to college and pursue a career in technology. In addition, we hope to contribute to increasing the pool of people living with a disability enrolling in higher education and, in the long term, decrease the unemployment bias for this demographic. This scholarship will be awarded to promising high school seniors living in the city of Pittsburgh who plan to attend a vocational or academic college and have a financial need. The amount of this multi-year renewable scholarship is $12,000 payable over four years ($3,000 per year). (Immediate family members of Microsoft employees are not eligible for this scholarship.)

• Average Award: $12,000 over 4 years.
• Award Type: Multi-Year (up to 4 years). Recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and enrollment in the stated major.

The Professional Nurses of Southwestern PA Scholarship Fund, established by The Pittsburgh Foundation, supports nursing education for students in nine counties of southwestern Pennsylvania. This scholarship aims to assist those pursuing a Pre-Licensure RN, BSN, Master's, PhD, or DNP programs. Eligible applicants must have completed one semester in a nursing program and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0. The fund continues the legacy of the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association, promoting leadership and service in nursing.

The Pocket Nurse Scholarship Fund, established by Pocket Nurse at The Pittsburgh Foundation, provides financial assistance to students pursuing education in Allied Health, Nursing, and Nursing Faculty. This initiative highlights the Foundation's commitment to supporting local students, especially those from marginalized backgrounds, as they strive to achieve their academic and career goals. With a minimum GPA requirement of 3.5, the program aims to empower the next generation of healthcare professionals.

The Pittsburgh Foundation provides scholarship opportunities for students to pursue their educational goals. Scholarships are available for graduating high school seniors, undergraduates, graduate, medical and professional school students who are attending community colleges, four–year universities, graduate schools, and career/technical schools.

Louise Salinger Academy of Fashion Fund

The Louise Salinger Academy of Fashion Fund was created at The Pittsburgh Foundation to provide scholarships to high school seniors in Allegheny County who wish to pursue a career in fashion design.
