The Noble County Community Foundation, in collaboration with the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio, aims to enhance the quality of life in Noble County by providing grants to support projects in arts, education, health, and more. Grants, ranging from $500 to $2,500, are available to nonprofits and public organizations, focusing on initiatives that foster economic development and address community needs, ensuring sustainable resources for the future.

The Vinton County Community Fund Grant, managed by the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio, aims to support various community initiatives in Vinton County. Grants ranging from $500 to $2,500 will be awarded to projects focusing on arts, economic development, education, environmental stewardship, and health services. Eligible applicants include nonprofits and public organizations dedicated to benefiting the local community, fostering philanthropy, and addressing pressing needs, ultimately empowering residents of all ages.

The Sauk Centre Area Community Foundation (SCACF) provides grants aimed at fostering positive change in the Sauk Centre area. With a focus on youth, health, civic engagement, culture, and productive aging, the foundation supports initiatives that connect community resources and inspire collaboration. Eligible organizations include nonprofits and schools within the Sauk Centre School District. The Morgan Hill Community Foundation is offering Community Charitable Grants totaling $32,000 for local nonprofits and public schools. Through local chapters, SCC addresses unique challenges such as homelessness, foster care, and health issues by providing funding to non-profit organizations focused on children's welfare. Priority is given to applications from organizations aiding the homeless and victims of trafficking. SCC aims to ensure every child has equal opportunities regardless of their circumstances.

Speedway Children's Charities (SCC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the needs of children in New England. In 2024, SCC NH distributed $120,000 to various local non-profits focused on critical issues such as homelessness, medical care, and education. Awarded to graduating seniors of Trumbull County public high schools planning to major in education or pursue a teaching career in K-12 education and to Trumbull County public high school graduates that are in their Junior or Senior year of college and studying education or pursuing a teaching career in K-12 education.

Raj Mehta Memorial Scholarship

The family of Raj Mehta established the scholarship in memory of Raj, who passed away in March 2020.

Non traditional students are encouraged to apply.

Depending on the scholarship, it may pay for tuition, room and board, books, fees and/or other related educational expenses. This will be outlined in your award notification. The minimum scholarship award amount is $1,000.

NCCF scholarship awards are only issued to not-for-profit institutions and government entities such as public colleges or universities.

Africa - Impact Seed Fund

The Impact Seed Funding (ISF) is a micro-scale education grant that aims to support a range of education activities that can enrich the perspectives and knowledge on the socio-ecological challenges, solutions, and innovation about issues of rainforest, oceans, climate and labor crisis impact to the university/school community, specifically students and educators.

The main objective of the grant is to cultivate more curious, informed, empathetic communities on the underreported issues of Oceans and Climate change. Ultimately it aims to inspire change of perspectives, narratives, and actions amongst the communities. The Africa ISF projects will put the Pulitzer Center’s Climate & Labor, Rainforest, Transparency and Governance as well as Oceans Reporting Network (ORN) stories at the center of its engagement and activities. 

The Africa ISF will provide micro-scale grants to:

• Initiate new collaborations or develop existing collaborations among teachers, researchers, students, and journalists;
• Increase engagement between education communities, journalists, and local communities;
• Stimulate the use of creative visuals (e.g., comics, animated videos, photos, short videos, documentary, podcasts), data visuals and information from the reportages in teaching materials, student activities, curriculum and class materials, or scientific publications;
• Stimulate the introduction and promotion of DEI friendly tools in teaching materials, student activities, curriculum and scientific publications. (DEI = Diversity, Equity and Inclusion). Gender equality and Handicap issues among young students to be prioritized.
• Facilitate the adoption of featured findings in the reportages to relevant research and other scientific products.

Requirements

• The project must center around the stories reported by the Rainforest Grantees and Fellows or Climate & Labor grantees;
• The activity must showcase an intended impact towards the audience of the academic/school community (students or Fellow lecturers/researchers), or civil society;
• The project must be implemented in consultation with the relevant Pulitzer Center’s grantees or Fellows;
• The project must demonstrate a strong Diversity, Equity and Inclusion approach;
• Applicants must deliver financial and narrative reports at the end of the grant period, detailing costs and results.

The Don and Carol Pardue Scholarship, offered by the North Carolina Community Foundation, supports students in need of financial assistance, particularly those pursuing degrees in Education or affiliated with the First United Methodist Church in North Wilkesboro, NC. This scholarship exemplifies the Foundation's commitment to promoting educational opportunities and strengthening communities across North Carolina, ensuring that deserving students receive the support necessary to achieve their academic goals.

This scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior from a high school in Lackawanna County who is matriculating to a college or university to study in the field of education.

The Texas Education Agency improves outcomes for all public school students in the state by providing leadership, guidance, and support to school systems.

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) administers federal and state grant awards to its subgrantees to carry out a program. Such entities include primarily school systems (referred to as local educational agencies [LEAs] in statutes), including independent school districts and charter schools; education service centers (ESCs); and, to a lesser degree, institutions of higher education (IHEs), nonprofit organizations (NPOs), and other statutorily allowable organizations.

P-TECH Continued Support Grant

Program Description

This grant will implement innovative strategies for providing a robust model of support to P-TECH campuses in the CCRSM network:

• Developing strategy and resources for successfully scaling CCRSM programs with fidelity to increase the number of CCRSM teachers and CCRSM students
• CCRSM leaders from campuses, districts, institutes of higher education, and business and industry to support and sustain a mature CCRSM model.

James Graham Brown Foundation

Additional Considerations

Organizations should demonstrate significant financial support for projects, including contributions from private donors, private and public grants, and other sustainable sources of revenue. Additionally, letters of support or endorsement are appropriate to include in the application. It is also encouraged to mention current partnerships and collaborations.

• The proportion of a project budget requested from JGBF should not typically exceed 30% of the total project budget. The amount of the grant request should be appropriate for the scope of impact.
• Proposals that demonstrate 50%–60% of the total project cost raised are more competitive.
• JGBF will rarely be the sole funder and encourages a broad base of support to reinforce projects and increase the likelihood of lasting impact.
• Requests made via LOI must be approved by the applicant's CEO prior to submission.

Scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors. Applications are accepted from mid-November until mid-March. Scholarship award recipients will be announced at the high school awards ceremony. 

Beatrice Reynolds Memorial Scholarship

Established by the late Ira T. Reynolds in memory of his late wife to assist a Susquehanna Community School District graduate who will major in education or teacher training. Scholarship is provided in four equal installments as long as the recipient remains a student in good standing.
