Best Scouting Organization Grants in Arizona

Focused on youth education, the Diane and Bruce Halle Foundation invites Arizona 501(c)(3) organizations to seek program, capital, or general support that expands high-quality learning for lower-income students. Established Arizona nonprofits with strong leadership and youth development or leadership programming, including scouting organizations, may be eligible after a required pre-application conversation with foundation staff.

Arizona youth sports and athletic nonprofits focused on soccer, baseball, basketball, or hockey can access funding through Maxinmotion to include financially challenged and special needs children in their programs. Scouting organizations that operate youth development and leadership activities through these sports and emphasize character, teamwork, academics, and self-respect may be eligible.

Arizona 501(c)(3) nonprofits providing human services, basic needs, or youth development can seek program, capital, or general operating support to strengthen community outcomes. With a mission to improve opportunities for Arizona residents, Diane and Bruce Halle Foundation prioritizes food access, shelters and housing, job training, and supportive services for people experiencing poverty statewide.

Grants from US Bancorp Foundation help 501(c)(3) organizations, especially those led by people of color, that serve designated U.S. Bank communities and may include scouting-focused youth initiatives.

Arizona 501(c)(3) nonprofits with $100,000+ budgets can seek funding for youth development, leadership, job readiness, and related programs that build skills and expand opportunities. RBC Foundation USA provides support in Arizona communities where it has a business presence, including initiatives that enhance career pathways, financial stability, and community accessibility.

Arizona youth-serving entities offering out-of-school academic enrichment and youth development activities in Arizona can apply for the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers program. Focused on academic success and youth development, Arizona Department of Education invites eligible entities serving Title I-eligible school sites to establish or expand community learning centers during non-school hours.

Arizona 501(c)(3) nonprofits and eligible government agencies can receive funding for youth development, workforce training, sustainability, and thriving community programs. Arizona youth programs and 3rd grade classrooms interested in gardening can access funding through the Bonnie Plants Foundation’s 3rd Grade Cabbage Program; awards US $1,000 in in-kind support and free cabbage plants. Scouting groups that run youth development or leadership activities with 3rd graders may be eligible to participate alongside schools and families.

Arizona 501(c) organizations, government entities, and state-recognized nonprofits running firearms safety, shooting sports, or hunting education programs can seek funding that supports charitable program activities. Focused on firearms safety, education, and marksmanship, The NRA Foundation invites youth-serving and community groups, including scouting organizations, to apply for US $3,000 - US $5,000 in project support.

Kiwanis Club of Marietta members participate in service projects, hold fundraisers, and change children’s lives in our community. In addition, club members contribute to Kiwanis International initiatives helping clubs around the world assist children with education, basic needs, and medical care.

Maury and Betty Hull Endowed Scholarship

The Maury and Betty Hull Scholarship was created to honor their lives and appreciation for their hometown, Forks, WA. The scholarship was established to help community students pursue their higher education dreams.

Award Information

Awards begin at $2,000 and are at the discretion of the committee.

Arizona youth development and leadership programs can access funding through Yellowstone Club Community Foundation’s Big Bald Dave Adventure Scholarship, which provides a summer outdoor adventure and service experience. Individual Big Sky high school students in grades 9–11 who show leadership, volunteerism, and a passion for the outdoors may be strong candidates.

Naomi Chazan Global Activism Fellowship

Want to travel to Israel/Palestine while advancing equality, democracy, and peace for all?

The New Israel Fund’s Naomi Chazan Global Activism Fellowship offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to visit Israel/Palestine, meet frontline Israeli and Palestinian activists, and learn about issues of war, peace, and inequality by seeing the reality on the ground. 

Fellows will visit Israel/Palestine on November 3-10, 2026.

This trip is a great opportunity to learn alongside peers and friends (ages 21 – 35). NIF is based on the simple idea that those of us who share a commitment to Israel/Palestine and to progressive values can join together to work for equality, freedom, and human rights. You will join a cohort of participants from the U.S. and Canada building relationships across borders to be sustained for years to come.

Following the trip, participants are expected to organize at least two NIF events in their home communities, with support from NIF staff. These events could look like a report-back highlighting the participants’ learnings from the trip, educational programs featuring NIF grantees/partners, or something else entirely that is tailored to the intellectual, emotional, and spiritual needs of the fellow’s communities.

The program is subsidized by generous donors in the NIF community. All “on-the-ground” costs—your hotel accommodation and almost all meals—will be covered by NIF. Participants are responsible for purchasing their own airfare and travel/health insurance. If the cost of airfare is a barrier for you, please apply anyway. Limited airfare subsidies may be available.

High school seniors, college, and non-traditional students pursuing criminal justice or first responder studies can receive scholarship support for 2- or 4-year U.S. programs. CommunityGiving provides Arizona youth development and leadership organizations with a scholarship opportunity that may benefit participants from Minnesota’s Benton, Stearns, or Sherburne counties attending eligible schools.

Young people ages 13 to 19 in the Berkshire Taconic region can receive $200 to $800 to pursue summer arts enrichment, including apprenticeships, internships, and new artistic studies. The Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation pays vendors directly for tuition, supplies, or travel, and Arizona-based scouting organizations may share this opportunity with eligible youth they serve.

Nonprofit organizations running youth-focused programs and projects, including scouting and youth leadership activities in Arizona and beyond, may be eligible for support that prioritizes Whatcom County youth. Chuckanut Health Foundation’s Eleanor & Henry Jansen Foundation generally funds projects (not completed work) and favors initiatives with strong volunteer involvement and diversified or matching funding sources.

Arizona youth development and leadership programs working with Native or Indigenous youth may be eligible for the Champions for Change initiative, which develops young leaders through experience-based learning and advocacy training. The Aspen Institute’s Center for Native American Youth selects 5–6 U.S.-based Indigenous youth ages 14–24 each year; all applicants join the CNAY network.

Youth-serving organizations in Arizona focused on youth development and leadership may be eligible to partner with the Bezos Scholars Program to support student-led community change projects. Bezos Family Foundation supports civic engagement, educational access, and leadership development for high school juniors through yearlong programming, project grants, and educator mentorship, which can complement scouting-focused initiatives.

The Juliette Low’s Amazing Girls Scholarship, established in 2011 by the East Texas Communities Foundation, is aimed at female graduating seniors from Smith County who have been active in Girl Scouts. This scholarship supports educational pursuits for students attending any college in the U.S. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and have a minimum GPA of 3.00. The award amount is $1,000, and preference is given to recipients of the Girl Scout Gold Award. Reapplication is encouraged.

AFL Community Grants aim to empower education, youth, and life advancement through targeted community support. The program is designed for non-profit organizations, focusing on STEM education, youth development, and the LEAP initiative for adult self-sufficiency. With grant applications opening in 2025, AFL Global seeks to make a lasting impact in communities by addressing their greatest needs and fostering growth through education and development initiatives.
