Native Forward awards are allocated based on the financial aid information provided by the institution’s Financial Aid Office. Awards can vary, ranging from $100 to $30,000 per academic year.

Native Forward Scholars Fund members of federally and state-recognized Tribes as well as first and second-generation descendants. However, Native Forward Scholars Fund scholarship opportunities have different Tribal eligibility requirements and can be determined by submitting a Tribal Eligibility Certificate.

Grace Wall Barreda Memorial Scholarship

This opportunity is provided to honor the life and legacy of Grace Wall Barreda.

The purpose of the Grace Wall Barreda Scholarship program is to provide financial assistance to eligible American Indian and Alaska Native graduate students pursuing degrees full-time at an accredited institution in Public Health or Environmental Science/Studies.

Estelle Jones Non-Traditional Students Scholarship ($2,000)

This renewable scholarship is designed to support students who are residents of Richland County School District One. 

The IVAM MB Research Award recognizes exceptional contributions by postdoctoral scholars in the field of in vitro and alternative methods toxicology. Applicants must submit an outstanding abstract accompanied by a letter of support from their advisor. The award includes a $500 prize and emphasizes practical applications over basic research. Judging is conducted by a panel from MB Research and the IVAM Executive Committee, with only abstracts submitted for the Society of Toxicology Annual Meeting being eligible.

LSC’s Basic Field Grants aim to enhance access to civil legal services for low-income individuals across the U.S. and territories. These grants support eligible organizations for up to three years through a competitive application process. The funding is allocated to specific service areas, which change annually, and focuses on providing comprehensive legal assistance. The program includes three types of service areas, ensuring diverse populations, including agricultural and Native American communities, receive necessary legal support.

Grants, which can go up to $25,000, are available to those with businesses that are less than three years old and demonstrate revenue generation. This initiative aims to empower women by reducing barriers and fostering a supportive entrepreneurial community.
