Empowering Caregivers Through Education

The Jean Griswold Foundation Scholarship Program awards scholarships to deserving Caregivers who wish to further their education in a care-related field. Applicants do not have to be associated with Griswold in any way, and the funds will be paid directly to the institution where the caregiver will be receiving education.

Grants from this fund promote South Florida artistic expression that amplifies LGBTQ voices and works in the service of preserving, telling and celebrating LGBTQ stories and promoting LGBTQ equality and social justice.

Agencies interested in applying for and receiving grants from the LGBTQ Arts & Culture Fund are encouraged to attend to have questions answered about the application, process, and priorities for the LGBTQ Arts & Culture Fund grants.

The Florida Financial Literacy Initiative Grants, established by the Florida Literacy Coalition in partnership with Wells Fargo, aim to enhance financial literacy among participants in adult education and family literacy programs. Grants of up to $5,000 will support these programs in integrating financial education into their curricula. By focusing on parent-child interactive literacy activities and providing essential training for parents, the initiative promotes lifelong financial skills and well-being within communities across Florida.

The TD Bank Community Sponsorships Program, supported by the TD Charitable Foundation, provides funding for events and activities that positively impact communities from Maine to Florida. With a focus on resilience and sustainability, the fund encourages projects that re-engage audiences after challenging times. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) non-profits or fiscally sponsored organizations that either primarily serve LGBTQ communities or offer LGBTQ-specific programs. Special consideration is given to initiatives benefiting underserved populations within the LGBTQ community.

The First Horizon Foundation, a private charitable organization established in 1993, has committed over $100 million to various community initiatives. Focused on areas such as arts, education, environment, and health, it aims to address pressing community needs, particularly in Florida. Eligible entities include organizations in specified counties, while support is not available for individuals or certain types of organizations. The foundation's recent efforts also extend to the newly formed Louisiana First Horizon Foundation.
