The Rare Disease Endpoint Advancement Pilot Program, initiated by the FDA, aims to enhance the development of novel efficacy endpoints for drugs addressing rare diseases. This initiative encourages collaboration between sponsors and the FDA throughout the endpoint development process. Grants will be awarded to research teams that propose innovative approaches to repurposing therapeutics for the prevention or treatment of food allergy. We would welcome proposals identifying either an existing FDA-approved drug or drug in development with human safety data that has a rationale for the prevention of food allergies, prevention or treatment of food induced anaphylaxis, or an improved method for maintaining food allergic tolerance in previously allergic patients.

We are particularly interested in either small molecule drugs or biologicals that have well defined mechanisms of action that provide a scientific rationale for use in food allergies. Examples could involve drugs such as enzyme inhibitors or immunomodulators with specific activities that lend themselves to alter intestinal, mucosal or immune function.

SFY26 Non-Competitive Hospital Based Violence Intervention Program

Since September 2019, Governor Murphy and the Department of Law and Public Safety have invested in the development, implementation, and sustainability of hospital-based violence intervention programs (HVIPs) across New Jersey. These programs are designed to engage victims of gun and other community based violence at the time of crisis, providing immediate support and connecting them to critical services.

This funding supports programs that connect victims of crime to services, starting in hospitals or other medical settings and continuing into the community aiming to enhance support, improve outcomes, and reduce the risk of future victimization. 

This funding is limited to recipients who received SFY25 NJHVIP Continuation Funding and who have:

• Met the program’s goals and objectives,
• Submitted all required reports on time,
• Remained in compliance with all grant conditions, and
• Satisfied any additional criteria determined by the Department of Law and Public Safety.

Established in 1948, the Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES) – a nonprofit, non-political, scholarly society – is the leading international organization dedicated to the advancement of knowledge about Central Asia, the Caucasus, Russia, and Eastern Europe in regional and global contexts.  

ASEEES Next Generation Dissertation Research Fellowship Program

Established in 2025, the ASEEES Next Generation Dissertation Research Fellowship Program provides a maximum stipend of $28,000 for doctoral students at US universities, regardless of citizenship, to conduct dissertation research in Slavic, Eastern European, and Eurasian Studies. The program is open to students in any discipline whose dissertation topics are within Slavic, Eastern European, and Eurasian Studies.

Fellowship Project Scope

• The dissertation topic must be in Slavic, Eastern European, and Eurasian studies
• Most of the proposed research should be conducted in Eastern Europe and/or Eurasia but the fellowship can be used to conduct research for a briefer period in secondary site(s) such as the U.S.; in cases of equally qualified applications, some preference may be given to research entirely in the region

The stipend can be spent on expenses incurred while conducting research, including living expenses, research expenses, international airfare, visa expenses, and evacuation and health insurance.
