The REPI Challenge, initiated by the DOD's REPI Program, aims to protect critical testing and training capabilities through funded projects. Since 2012, over $193 million has been allocated to 69 initiatives, leveraging more than $512 million in partner contributions. The upcoming 2026 REPI Challenge will focus on strategic mission safeguarding, with up to $20 million available for preventing land use conflicts and enhancing military resilience, thus ensuring the longevity of vital defense capabilities.

The Lucy Downing Nisbet Charitable Fund, established in 2002, supports educational, health, human services, and arts programming for underserved populations in Vermont. It prioritizes organizations focused on healthcare, domestic violence awareness, and environmental conservation. Eligible applicants must have a Vermont office, while grants are not made for deficit financing or capital projects. Special consideration is given to local organizations serving Morrisville, VT, and those addressing critical health and community issues.

The CREST program by the NSF aims to bolster research capabilities at minority-serving institutions (MSIs) through education and research integration. It specifically supports STEM doctoral programs and encourages proposals in high-priority areas such as AI and climate change. By enhancing the institutional capacity, the program seeks to increase the number of underrepresented doctoral graduates in STEM fields, thereby fostering diversity and innovation in scientific research.

These fully funded leadership scholarships cover travel, accommodation, and meals so your ability to make an impact is never limited by financial constraints.

The foundation is proud to offer five impactful young leaders the opportunity to participate in the One Young World Summit 2026, which takes place in Cape Town, South Africa, from 3 - 6 November.

The dsm-firmenich Progress Foundation Scholarship is looking to support young entrepreneurs making a local or global impact in communities around the globe in one of three focus areas:

• Fighting Malnutrition.
• Strengthening community resilience.
• Protecting and restoring ecosystems.  

Examples of relevant work include, but are not limited to:

• Initiatives which address micronutrient deficiencies and ensure food with the highest quality and nutritional value reach the most vulnerable.
• Initiatives which strengthen community resilience and address social inequality.
• Initiatives that restore and protect ecosystems, building nature's resilience by addressing climate action, biodiversity protection and safeguarding water systems. 

What will you receive?

Selected scholars will receive:

• Access to the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa.
• Hotel Accommodation in Cape Town, checking in on 31 October and checking out on 8 November.
• Travel to and from Cape Town (flights in economy).
• Catering which includes breakfast at the hotel accommodation and lunch and dinner during the core Summit days.
• Ground transport between the Summit accommodation and the Summit venue.
• Pre and post-programme in Cape Town and the opportunity to join the dsm-firmenich delegation during the Summit. 

The St. Johns Cultural Council offers the State of the Arts Grants, providing six $1,500 awards to support individual artists and arts organizations in St. Johns County. Applications open annually on September 1st, aiming to fund innovative projects in various artistic disciplines. Priority is given to proposals that engage underserved communities or enhance arts education. This competitive grant process encourages creative proposals while ensuring minimal application burden on applicants.

The 'What If...' Mini Grants program, funded by the Rosamond Gifford Charitable Corporation, aims to empower City of Syracuse residents aged 12 and older to enhance their neighborhoods. Grant applicants must attend an orientation and are encouraged to partner with an advisor if under 18. The initiative seeks projects that foster community participation and address local needs, ensuring that the voices of Syracuse residents are heard and valued.

The Custer County Foundation Grant aims to enhance community life in Custer County by supporting local nonprofit organizations. Eligible groups can apply for funding in various areas, including health care, education, and community services. The Foundation prioritizes requests demonstrating broad community support and prefers to partially fund projects. All grants expire 180 days post-approval, and recipients are encouraged to report on fund usage. This initiative fosters local engagement and development for a better future.

The Park City Community Foundation offers grants to nonprofit organizations serving the greater Park City and Summit County area, focusing on community needs and effective programs. They encourage applications for general support, especially in light of COVID-19's impact. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits and operate within Summit County. The foundation prioritizes partnerships, professionalism, leadership, and innovation to enhance community wellbeing and address pressing issues.

The Kelley Foundation Grant Program provides funding to tax-exempt organizations in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, focusing on community enrichment through health services, housing, youth development, food security, arts, and environmental initiatives. Applications are accepted year-round, with a review process that may take up to six months. Note that grants are not awarded to the same organization within a three-year period, and private foundations are ineligible for funding.

The Otter Tail Corporation Foundation Grant Program focuses on supporting 501(c)(3) organizations in communities across Arizona, Georgia, Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Priorities include early childhood education, health services for families in need, community development, and environmental sustainability. While the 2025 budget is fully allocated, they encourage applications for 2026, emphasizing collaborative projects that create measurable impacts.

The NIDCD invites R01 grant applications aimed at independent research projects related to the mission of the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders. This opportunity promotes workforce development by supporting Early Stage and New Investigators, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds in health sciences. Letters of Intent are encouraged 30 days before the proposal deadline, allowing diverse researchers to collaborate and contribute to vital health-related studies.

The Gladys Brooks Foundation supports innovative projects in libraries, education, hospitals, and clinics. Grants focus on resource endowments, capital construction, and equipment aimed at improving public access to information and educational resources. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations located in specific states and demonstrate that projects will be funded primarily by the grant. Applications for direct salary support or research projects are not accepted.

The Impact100 East Bay Grant Program empowers women to engage in philanthropy through substantial grants of at least $100,000. It focuses on transformative initiatives across five key areas: Arts & Culture, Education, Environmental Preservation, Family Support, and Health & Wellness. Eligible organizations must demonstrate financial health and a commitment to sustainability, serving the communities of Alameda and Contra Costa. Ineligible projects include general operating expenses and those that do not align with the program's mission.

The Foley Hoag Foundation Grant supports innovative projects aimed at addressing various forms of inequality in Greater Boston, New York City, and Washington, D.C. Established in 1981, it prioritizes small organizations with annual budgets under $750,000. The Foundation encourages community engagement and collaborations that enhance civil rights and equity. Grants are generally awarded for one year and are designed to create impactful changes in the communities served.

The Reser Family Foundation offers Fast-Track Grants to established 501(c)(3) organizations in Oregon, focusing on Education, Health, Arts, and Environment. The grants aim to support innovative and inclusive projects that enhance community welfare. Eligible organizations must have a history of operations in Oregon, with funding requests capped at $12,499. The foundation seeks to empower nonprofits addressing local needs through streamlined application processes, ensuring that resources are effectively allocated to vital community initiatives.

The Klamath River Fund: Catalyst Grants aim to foster community-led climate resilience and restorative justice in the Klamath River Basin. This initiative, part of the Humboldt Area Foundation and Wild Rivers Community Foundation, responds to unique community needs with grants under $10,000. Following significant dam removals in 2023-2024, the program will support restoration efforts, enhance well-being, and promote equity across the region, including partnerships with local tribes and organizations.

The John William Pope Foundation provides annual grants focusing on human services and the arts, primarily in North Carolina's Wake and Vance Counties. Established in 1986, the Foundation promotes self-reliance and community responsibility, funding initiatives that address critical social challenges. By prioritizing private resources over government funding, it fosters creative expression and supports nonprofits that empower individuals and families. The Foundation's mission is to ensure future generations have equal opportunities for success.

The Reser Family Foundation's Midsize Grant Program supports organizations in Oregon with annual budgets over $1.2 million. Grants range from $12,500 to $50,000 and prioritize innovative projects in Education, Health, Arts, and Environment. Eligible applicants must be established 501(c)(3) organizations for over three years and demonstrate community impact. Applications require a letter of support and collaboration with funding partners. The foundation does not fund organizations involved in active litigation or one-time events.

The Forest County Potawatomi Foundation aims to combat poverty and promote community development through grants to eligible 501(c)(3) organizations. With a commitment to responsible citizenship, the foundation supports initiatives in arts, education, health, and environmental services, focusing on areas with significant economic challenges. Since its inception in 1999, it has allocated over $30 million to various charitable causes, fostering self-sufficiency and improving the quality of life for families in Forest County and the Greater Milwaukee area.

The National Forest Foundation’s Collaborative Capacity Program offers financial support to enhance collaboration among local communities and partners, focusing on improving wildfire resilience and forest health. Grants range from $10,001 to $75,000, with a 20% cash or in-kind match requirement. The program aims to foster long-term stewardship outcomes for National Forest System lands, ensuring benefits to both forests and local economies through collaborative efforts.

The Whipple Foundation Fund Grant, established by Mildred Whipple in 2003, aims to enhance lifelong learning for Douglas County residents. It prioritizes support for reopening libraries, fostering civic engagement, and funding early childhood programs. The grant encourages sustainable community funding and collaboration among various educational initiatives. With a focus on local needs, it accepts applications annually, targeting projects that improve educational access and community involvement.

The BJA FY 2026 Public Safety and Mental Health Initiative aims to enhance public safety by addressing untreated mental illness and substance use. This program supports coordinated intervention efforts across various agencies, improving access to treatment and reducing recidivism. By fostering comprehensive service networks, it seeks to restore order in communities affected by homelessness and mental health challenges, ultimately enhancing community well-being and trust in public spaces.

The Community Enhancement Grants program in Gresham, initiated in 2017, supports local organizations in enhancing community livability and public safety. Funded by Metro, it awards $1 per ton of solid waste collected to projects that improve neighborhood appearance, preserve natural environments, and offer recreational opportunities. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, schools, and local government entities. This initiative aims to foster economic growth and benefit underserved populations within the Gresham area.

The Lauren Townsend Memorial Wildlife Fund, established in 1999 in memory of Lauren Townsend, supports 501(c)(3) nonprofits in the U.S. focused on animal welfare and wildlife preservation. Grants are awarded to organizations with specific project funding needs and budgets under $250,000. Smaller nonprofits are encouraged to apply, while general operating expenses and lobbying activities are not funded. The fund honors Lauren's passion for animals, continuing her legacy of support for those in need.

The Tire-Derived Aggregate Grant Program, administered by the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery, aims to divert waste tires from landfills and promote recycled tire products. This program offers funding for projects that address engineering challenges using lightweight, free-draining tire-derived aggregates. Key deadlines include submitting required documents for approval by August 19, 2025, November 20, 2025, and February 10, 2026. This initiative supports sustainable waste management practices.

The Community Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Grants, administered by the Illinois Finance Authority, aims to deploy over $14 million in federal funds for electric vehicle charging infrastructure. This initiative focuses on expanding access to EV charging in both urban and rural communities, particularly in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods. Eligible applicants include government, education, and nonprofit organizations, with a requirement for a 20% cost match. The program prioritizes projects enhancing community-based infrastructure for all Illinois residents.

The CHEFA Nonprofit Grant Program offers Connecticut nonprofit organizations access to competitive funding for various initiatives. This program supports capital projects and program funding, utilizing CHEFA's resources rather than state funds. By inviting Letters of Interest for FY 2026, CHEFA aims to empower nonprofits to enhance educational, healthcare, and childcare services within the community, fostering growth and development in these vital sectors.
