The Covington Education Foundation Grant supports educational enrichment projects in Covington, Ohio. Non-profit organizations and Covington Exempted Village Schools can apply quarterly for funding to enhance academic achievement, performing and fine arts, athletics, and general enrichment programs. Applications are reviewed in January, April, July, and October, with deadlines on the 15th of the preceding month. GCCF Community Grant

Providing charitable funding is at the heart of our mission. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the Gove County Community Foundation awards grants to organizations across Gove County, supporting initiatives in arts and culture, community development, education, environment, health, human services, recreation, and youth development. Through these grants, we help strengthen our community today and build a brighter future for tomorrow. 

Grantmaking Criteria

Grants can address:

• Education: Enhances the learning environment and expands opportunities for students in Northwest Kansas. Provides increased self-reliance on personal life skills and workforce capability.
• Health Care: Ensure access to quality health care services and promotes healthy life practices.
• Economic Development: Development of a robust and sustainable economy includes a diversity of businesses and quality job opportunities.
• Community Social Services & Security: Enhance access to social services needed for individuals of special needs and supports systems to provide community disaster relief and general community emergencies.
• Conservation & Environment: Support efforts to improve and maintain high air and water quality, appreciation for our natural environment and enhance economic and social benefits of outdoor resources.
• Arts & Culture: Provide cultural and artistic opportunities to enhance the quality of life for local residents and to encourage tourism and the exchange of ideas.
• Community Beautification: Support efforts to improve and maintain public spaces to enhance community pride and encourage socialization among residents.

The Dane G. Hansen Community Grant for Wallace County, initiated in March 2015, aims to support charitable activities across Northwest Kansas. It prioritizes educational enhancements, healthcare access, economic development, and community services. Grants are available to 501(c)(3) nonprofits and governmental institutions, while individual applications are not eligible. Preference is given to projects that engage community involvement and utilize strategic planning processes. This initiative fosters sustainable growth and improves quality of life for local residents.

The MCCF: Moundridge Grant supports nonprofit organizations in McPherson, KS, focusing on various sectors such as Arts, Community Development, and Health. Grants can fund project support, operating expenses, and capacity building, with a maximum of $10,000 typically awarded. Eligible applicants must demonstrate benefits to Moundridge residents, while individuals and certain types of requests, like lobbying or travel support, are ineligible.

The Liberty Mutual Foundation, through the Safeco Insurance Fund, offers discretionary grants to support nonprofits in Washington State. Established in 2006, the fund focuses on empowering vulnerable communities by funding initiatives in education, youth workforce development, housing stability, and climate resiliency. Grants are available for both single and multi-year programs, with a continuous review process. Organizations must be located in Washington and adhere to eligibility criteria, including not having applied within the last 12 months.

The Five Wings Arts Council offers Small Grants for Community Arts Projects to support local artists and organizations in Cass, Crow Wing, Todd, Morrison, and Wadena counties. Grants up to $1000 are available for first-time arts producers or presenters. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, fostering community engagement through enriching arts and cultural activities. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, public schools, and governmental units. It aims to promote artistic expression and community involvement throughout the region.

The MCCF General Grant supports nonprofit organizations in McPherson County, focusing on various sectors including arts, education, health care, and community development. Applications are accepted continuously, with specific deadlines throughout the year. However, the foundation does not grant funds to individuals or for purposes such as lobbying or support for discriminatory organizations. This grant aims to enhance community programs that benefit residents.

The Fred C. Gloeckner Foundation Research Fund, established in 2024 through a partnership with the American Floral Endowment (AFE), is dedicated to advancing floriculture research and education. With over 120 years of combined funding experience, it supports innovative projects across various fields related to floriculture. Grants are available for substantial research initiatives at U.S. universities and institutions, focusing on outcomes beneficial to the public, while ensuring projects are reviewed annually for renewal.

The Paul & Helen Charitable Trust Grants focus on enhancing the lives of children and senior adults in Niagara and Erie Counties, NY, especially in the Black Rock/Riverside area. They support organizations providing essential services and promote public green space beautification. Grant amounts typically range from $10,000 to $25,000. Note that starting in 2026, requests will be considered every other year, emphasizing education programs, food insecurity, and respite care.

The Dallas Stars Foundation Community Grant Program aims to provide financial support to local non-profits, enhancing awareness of their charitable missions through the 50/50 Raffle at Dallas Stars games. The City of Suffolk's CDBG Program provides annual funding opportunities for non-profit organizations and city boards that serve local residents. Aimed at revitalizing neighborhoods and enhancing economic opportunities, the program prioritizes projects benefiting low- and moderate-income individuals. Eligible applicants must adhere to specific criteria, ensuring that funding supports community-focused initiatives. With a focus on collaboration, the program fosters partnerships to maximize impact and improve community facilities and services.

The Currituck-Dare Community Foundation Grant, part of the North Carolina Community Foundation’s Community Grantmaking Program, supports charitable organizations across 67 counties. It funds diverse local needs such as education, health, and environmental initiatives. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) public charities and local government units. Grants are not available for political purposes or operations restricted by faith. The foundation aims to enhance community welfare through philanthropic efforts.

The Louisiana Project Grants, managed by the Louisiana Division of the Arts, aim to enhance community engagement through diverse artistic initiatives. The program supports various art forms, including dance, music, and visual arts, focusing on innovation and collaboration. CDBG Urgent Need Fund

CDBG Urgent Need Fund Grants enable the prompt response to existing serious and immediate threats to local health and safety. The applicant locality must be unable to finance the project on its own, no other funding is available to address the problem and the CDBG funding will be directly targeted towards alleviation of the threatening conditions. CDBG assistance will generally only be made available to projects, which consist only of activities in support of long-term recovery and primarily benefit low- and moderate-income persons. 

The Venango Area Community Foundation Discretionary Grants support transformative programs and projects in Venango County. The Columbia Basin Foundation Grants support charitable initiatives within Grant, Adams, and Lincoln Counties, offering up to $2,000 per application. To apply, organizations must provide relevant documentation, ensuring funds are directed towards meaningful local impacts.

The Carteret Community Foundation Grant supports local nonprofit organizations in Carteret County by providing funding for various purposes, including education, wildlife conservation, and humanitarian needs. Grants typically range from $500 to $5,000. Eligible applicants must be tax-exempt public charities or local government units, while the foundation prioritizes program-specific applications. This competitive grant program aims to enhance community life and respond to evolving local needs, making a significant impact in the region.

Nicor Gas offers Pillar Grants focused on education to support secondary and post-secondary opportunities, including technical and vocational programs. These grants aim to enhance workforce development by fostering partnerships that create awareness of careers in energy and promote diversity and inclusion. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) tax-exempt entities serving Nicor Gas’ service area, and grants may not exceed $5,000. Applications are encouraged from those aligning with these educational initiatives.
