The Kalamazoo Public Education Foundation Scholarship, established by the directors and officers of the Kalamazoo Public Education Foundation, is awarded annually to a Kalamazoo Public Schools graduating senior planning to enter the field of education.

Clarence L. Remynse

This scholarship fund was established in honor of Clarence L. Remynse, a Kalamazoo native and successful business owner, to support Kalamazoo County residents pursuing a bachelor’s degree. His legacy of hard work, community involvement, and commitment to education continues through this fund, which aims to help students achieve their academic and professional goals. Earl Haas Hackett Catholic Prep Scholarship

This fund was established by Earl Haas to recognize graduating high school seniors from Hackett Catholic Prep.

Multiyear Award; Renews Annually

The Fred Harris Daniels Foundation offers Investing In Girls Strategic Grants to support programs for girls aged 10-14 in Worcester, MA. Evelyn Prince Memorial Scholarship

The Evelyn Prince Memorial Scholarship was created to honor the memory of Evelyn Prince, an avid golfer and academic achiever. Her love for education and athletics continues to inspire, providing opportunities for young women who share her passion for golf and higher learning.

Multiyear Awar; Renews Annually

The Andrew Monroe Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of Andrew Monroe, who tragically lost his life in 2011. This scholarship awards three $1,000 scholarships annually to graduating senior soccer players in Sarasota County, Florida. Gail & Hilda Oster Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was established through a bequest from the estate of Gail and Hilda Oster for the purpose of providing meaningful support to graduating high school seniors or graduates, who are residents of Van Buren County or graduating high school seniors or graduates of high schools within Van Buren County, who are planning to pursue or are pursuing bachelor's degrees in the fields of education, mathematics or science; or enrolling or enrolled in a Veterinary Technologist or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine programs. Additional application materials are required for this scholarship.

The Swain County Community Foundation's Youth are our Future Endowment aims to enhance the quality of life for local youth. Grants typically range from $500 to $1,250, with a total grantmaking cap of $13,000. This initiative fosters community engagement and empowers youth through targeted funding opportunities.

The YAC Mini-Grants program, managed by the Jackson Community Foundation, offers K-12 students the opportunity to submit proposals for classroom projects. This unique initiative encourages youth involvement and enhances educational experiences. Applications can be written by students with adult support and must focus on projects that benefit their peers. The Alice R. Moomy Pennsylvania State University Scholarship, offered by the Erie Community Foundation, awards funds to Erie County students pursuing degrees in STEM or nursing at any Penn State campus. With over $800,000 distributed in 2023, this scholarship aims to support academically promising individuals, particularly encouraging female applicants with a minimum GPA of 3.0. The Dr. Alfred W. Stone Scholarship, offered by the Erie Community Foundation, supports students pursuing degrees in psychology, art, education, or technology. Eligible applicants must have graduated from a PA high school or cyber school and completed their first year at Allegheny College or Edinboro University with a minimum GPA of 3.0. This scholarship can be renewed for up to three years, contingent upon academic progress.

The Saigh Foundation Bravo Grants provide renewable scholarships of $12,000 per year to graduating high school seniors from the St. Louis metropolitan area who demonstrate significant financial need. These grants aim to support students who have overcome extraordinary challenges in their educational journey. Eligible applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 and plan to attend an accredited nonprofit college or university. This initiative focuses on enhancing the quality of life for children and youth through education.

Peter & Inez Schonveld Scholarship

This scholarship was established through a bequest from the estate of Inez Schonveld to provide scholarship assistance to graduating high school seniors and graduates of the Kalamazoo Public School District.

KZCF scholarships may be applied to any items under your school’s cost of attendance (COA). Each school has a different COA that may include items such as tuition, fees, housing, transportation, food, health insurance, etc. Scholarship payments are sent directly to your institution. 

This scholarship is a one-time award, meaning that it will not repeat in subsequent years. The money awarded can be applied to your education costs alongside other scholarships or funding that you may receive, and there are no necessary steps once funds are sent.

The Tuition Aid Program offers grants to educational institutions in Hawaii serving children from preschool to 12th grade, excluding church schools. The program encourages schools to seek multiple funding sources and allows for one request per organization annually. Notably, schools must be accredited or actively pursuing accreditation to qualify. The program aims to support educational access while maintaining fiscal responsibility and inclusivity.

About Scholarship

The Kemper County Board of Supervisors Leadership Scholarship has been established to recognize a first year college student who has the potential to become a future leader in Kemper County. This scholarship is awarded annually to a Kemper County resident who plans to attend East Mississippi Community College as a freshman, to enrich the educational knowledge of the county’s residents.Our Purpose

The Occupational Safety and Health Education and Research Centers (T42) program, funded by the CDC, focuses on enhancing occupational safety through targeted education and training. The program seeks to diversify the workforce and improve worker safety and well-being through outreach and continued education efforts.

The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development offers grants ranging from $35,000 to $100,000 aimed at enhancing community safety through lighting, camera surveillance, and related services. These grants are intended for tax-exempt nonprofits or local governments in good standing with the Maryland State Department of Assessments and Taxation. By investing in these safety measures, the program seeks to address illegal activities and improve the livability of communities across Maryland.

The Expanding Engagement Grant from the City of Boston's Age Strong Commission aims to enhance social engagement for older adults in the city. By funding grassroots organizations, the grant focuses on outreach and programming for underserved communities. The program supports various grant levels, ensuring that resources are accessible to all neighborhoods. Established to honor the memory of beloved coach and teacher Ron Jones. This is not an athletic award, rather, it was established to recognize students who have demonstrated a devotion to the community of Hoosick Falls through compassion, action, respect and excellence.

Description

The Maryland Victims of Crime Fund, administered by the State Board of Victim Services under the authority of the Governor’s Office of Crime Prevention, Youth, and Victim Services, provides for advocacy and support services to victims of crime through the creation of new ideas and the enhancement of existing programs in Maryland.

History

The Maryland Victims of Crime Fund was created by the Maryland General Assembly during the 1991 Legislative Session. This legislation created a source of revenue for programs across Maryland serving victims of crime. The primary purpose of the Fund is to ensure implementation of the Declaration of Crime Victims’ Rights Amendment to the Maryland Constitution and the Federal Guidelines for treatment of and assistance to crime victims and witnesses, along with other laws adopted to benefit victims and witnesses of crime.

The Crisis Assistance Program Grants, administered by The Youngstown Foundation, offer crucial funding support to 501(c)(3) organizations in Youngstown, facilitating swift responses to emergency needs. Established in 1918, the foundation aims to enhance community life through financial assistance for charitable, scientific, and educational initiatives. Grants are capped at $5,000, with a focus on ensuring continuity of vital services. Applications are processed within 48 hours, with funding provided within four business days.

The ICRG Seed Grant supports innovative research aimed at understanding and treating gambling disorders. With a focus on pilot studies, secondary data analysis, and developing new methodologies, it encourages both established and early-career researchers to apply for funding up to $40,000. The grant emphasizes the importance of addressing critical issues in gambling research while ensuring the inclusion of diverse participant groups. Wright Coating Company Scholarship

Wright Coating Company established this scholarship fund in 1991 for the purpose of providing financial assistance to college‑bound youth residing on the north side of Kalamazoo.

This scholarship aims to empower students to pursue higher education, reflecting Dr. Nash's commitment to equality and education.
