The Pincus Family Foundation’s Creative and Performing Arts portfolio supports programs where young people use art as a tool to address the structural inequities they face. Five strategic priorities:

Education

High school readiness for many low-income students, largely is a result of poor preparation in middle school. PFF is funding programs/projects that support middle school engagement and focus on achievement filling a funding gap. 

Target Constituency: We support non-profit organizations serving middle school students who face gaps in comprehensive high school readiness. These organizations implement innovative programming that creates challenging yet nurturing environments—preparing students for achievement while inspiring them to become engaged, confident citizens ready to contribute to their communities.

Health & Wellness

Goal: Advance children’s health and well-being by supporting nonprofits that strengthen social conditions, empower youth, and build healthier environments in marginalized communities.

Target Constituency: Nonprofits whose work strengthens social determinants of health for children in marginalized communities.

Play & Recreation

Goal: Advance children’s social-emotional development and physical well-being by supporting nonprofits that create inclusive play-based programming, competitive sports opportunities, and outdoor recreational experiences in under-resourced communities.

Target Constituency: Non-profits whose work promotes access to quality recreational programming for children ages 6-18 in under-resourced communities.

For all grants, the organization’s mission and scope must align with the Foundation’s mission. For the latter, these grants can be either unrestricted or restricted to a particular program or project. The type of grant and what it is used for will dictate the goals and objectives to be met.

The M&T Charitable Foundation Grants provide essential support to a variety of organizations focused on enhancing community well-being. With a mission rooted in corporate responsibility, the foundation prioritizes partnerships with 501(c)(3) organizations in sectors such as arts, health, education, and human services. By investing in local initiatives, the foundation aims to create healthier communities and improve the quality of life for all stakeholders involved.

The Georgia-Pacific Foundation Grant supports organizations in the Metro Atlanta area, focusing on education, entrepreneurship, community enrichment, and environmental sustainability. Established in 1958, the foundation prioritizes investments that align with its mission and values, promoting long-term well-being within communities where Georgia-Pacific operates. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofits, public schools, and local government entities located within 30 miles of GP manufacturing sites.

The PLTW Launch program, in collaboration with Burns and McDonnell, aims to enhance STEM education by expanding access to innovative educational modules in eligible schools. This initiative supports public and charter schools in targeted counties, focusing on increasing student engagement in STEM fields. Through grant funding, participating schools can introduce new PLTW Launch modules and provide essential training for teachers, fostering a richer learning environment to prepare students for future careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

The Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey offers Capital Grants aimed at reducing health disparities among underserved populations in Newark and Greater MetroWest NJ. Organizations must first contact the Foundation for a Letter of Inquiry before applying. Grants support renovation or construction of clinical spaces and equipment purchases. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) non-profits serving vulnerable communities. The Foundation avoids funding individuals, government agencies, or projects unrelated to healthcare.

The New Jersey Department of Health is offering the Rural Health Transformation Grant to enhance chronic disease outcomes in rural communities. This funding opportunity focuses on innovative, sustainable strategies to increase healthcare access, address disparities, and strengthen health systems. Proposed activities include youth violence prevention, education, and community outreach, emphasizing collaboration with local organizations. The J.E. & Z.B. Butler Foundation Grant aims to foster an inclusive environment where individuals of all abilities are respected and valued. The foundation prioritizes funding direct service programs that promote personal growth, self-advocacy, and meaningful engagement for individuals with disabilities. It supports after-school, summer, and work readiness initiatives, focusing on educational and social opportunities. The foundation encourages collaboration and professional development to enhance the effectiveness of funded programs in the New York Metropolitan and Boston areas.

The State Street Foundation Grant supports nonprofits and NGOs that promote economic opportunity and reduce equity gaps in education and employability. Organizations seeking funding must operate in areas where State Street has a business presence and demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion. The foundation prioritizes measurable outcomes and focuses on racial equity and social justice, ensuring that grants support initiatives that foster community engagement and sustainable impact.

About the AG’s Office

The New Jersey Attorney General oversees the Department of Law and Public Safety (LPS or the Department), which consists of more than 8,000 employees across 24 divisions, offices, and commissions. In this role, the Attorney General serves as both the state’s chief law enforcement officer and its chief lawyer. The Attorney General is nominated and appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate.

Competitive Funds for New Jersey Hospital Based Violence Intervention Program (NJHVIP) - Hudson County 

The purpose of the New Jersey Hospital-Based Violence Intervention Program (NJHVIP) is to support programming that connects victims to services beginning in a hospital or other medical setting to services outside of the hospital to increase support for victims of crime, improve their outcomes, and reduce future victimization.

This funding opportunity is focused on the continuity of services to victims and communities in Hudson County, NJ through the New Jersey Hospital Based Violence Intervention Program. Additionally, this NJHVIP program is designed to continue the building of an infrastructure that supports innovative community-based responses to violence and a network of community based public safety interventions.

NJHVIP supports projects that are hospital-based or hospital-linked partnerships between a hospital trauma center, hospital emergency department or a local health department, and one or more community-based organizations that support crime victims outside of the hospital. Examples of those services include high-risk interventions to prevent retaliation, case management, and culturally appropriate services that promote healing. Recognizing that underserved victims are often served exclusively by community-based organizations, this NOAF requires partnerships with at least one community-based direct victim service organization. Partnerships may consist of direct victim services provided within the hospital setting and/or services provided externally in the community.

This solicitation will fund one HVIP program that utilizes evidence-based models, practices, policies, and partnerships that will operate hospital-connected programs that support crime victims and ensure that culturally appropriate victim services are available. Emphasis should be placed on services for victims of community gun violence, stabbings and physical assaults. Applications should represent partnerships; however, one eligible entity must be the subrecipient with primary responsibility for managing the grant and other partners should be proposed as contractors or subrecipients. 

The New York Mets Donation Requests support non-profit organizations in the tri-state area by providing ticket donations. Requests must be submitted three weeks before the event, and only one request is allowed per organization within a year. Donations are strictly for charitable purposes and cannot be used for personal items or online auctions. The program does not accommodate requests from September 1 to February 28/29. This initiative aims to assist local fundraising efforts while ensuring fair access to resources.

The Patrina Foundation Grant supports educational, cultural, and social service organizations, primarily in the New York Metropolitan area. The foundation focuses on enhancing the skills and leadership abilities of girls and women through general operating support, program support, and funding for pilot projects. Grants are available exclusively to tax-exempt organizations, and applicants may apply once a year, ensuring a dedicated approach to community improvement.

The Alfred N. Sanzari Family Foundation Grant aims to enhance community welfare in Northern New Jersey by focusing on healthcare, education, and support for disadvantaged populations. This includes initiatives for patient care related to Parkinson's Disease, educational programs for children, and services for women and children in need. With grants ranging from $500 to $10,000, the foundation seeks to make a significant impact in the lives of those it serves, continuing the legacy of generosity founded by Alfred N. Sanzari.

The Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts administers over 160 scholarships. Some of the funds help students from a particular school or area; others provide financial assistance to those pursuing a specific field of study; still others assist students that are most in need. Students who apply to the Scholarship program may be eligible for many of these funds. 

Scholarships are provided for one academic year and are not automatically renewed each year. You can reapply to our program every year you are going to attend college, and the application you submit that year will be considered for all scholarships for which you are eligible.

Additional Guidelines

• Students can receive up to $3,000 in scholarships from the Community Foundation.
• Scholarship awards could impact the financial aid offered by a college, and students are advised to check with their college financial aid offices about this.
• Scholarships may be used to offset tuition, fees, room and board, and other items included as part of the cost for attending the institution. Some part and/or all the award could be considered taxable income. It is advisable students check with the college or tax accountant regarding this matter.

Gamma Mu Foundation

The Gamma Mu Foundation provides financial support to nonprofit organizations that serve clients and communities, particularly in rural and underserved areas across the United States. The Foundation awards grants for initiatives focused on community support services, public education and research, and HIV and health programs benefiting the LGBTQ+ community.

Additionally, the Foundation offers academic scholarships to LGBTQ+ individuals facing financial hardship and the impacts of discrimination. These scholarships are designed for those who actively support their local LGBTQ+ communities and demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing their education or vocational training. The Gamma Mu Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Scholarships

The Gamma Mu Foundation is committed to supporting the academic aspirations of gay men and LGBTQ+ students through our annual scholarship program. Scholarships provide financial assistance for a wide range of educational paths, including vocational training, associate degrees, bachelor’s degrees, and graduate or professional programs.

Scholarships are awarded exclusively for full-time study at accredited institutions or programs chosen by the student.

Students attending community colleges or accredited vocational programs are encouraged to apply.

Applicants must select one scholarship category that reflects both their academic status for the upcoming fall term and identity. Categories include:

• Gay Male First-Year Student – For students entering college or technical school directly from high school.
• Gay Male Undergraduate Student – For current, returning, or adult undergraduate students enrolled in a college or technical school.
• Gay Male Graduate Student – For students pursuing graduate or professional degrees.
• LGBTQ+ Undergraduate Student – Open to undergraduate students of all LGBTQ+ identities.
• LGBTQ+ Graduate Student – Open to graduate and professional students of all LGBTQ+ identities.

Submitting multiple applications or applying in a category that does not align with your academic status or identity may lead to disqualification. 

Use of Scholarship

Scholarships may be used to cover tuition, books, fees, and other college-related expenses at accredited colleges, universities, vocational, or professional schools. All scholarship funds are disbursed directly to the institution and must be applied to the fall or spring term following the award. The scholarship is a one-time grant, and continued financial support beyond the initial award is not implied. Please see FAQ section.

Wright Coating Company Scholarship

Wright Coating Company established this scholarship fund in 1991 for the purpose of providing financial assistance to college‑bound youth residing on the north side of Kalamazoo.

Women's Education Coalition Grant

This multiyear grant helps women who are unemployed or struggling to support themselves and their families. This scholarship supports tuition, college expenses, and helps build a better future for you and your family. 

This education grant was established by a coalition of four member organizations: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, YWCA Kalamazoo and the former Kalamazoo Network.

This fund was established in 2007, through a gift from the estate of Ann N. MacGregor, to provide scholarship assistance for incoming freshmen, undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in a visual arts curriculum. Demonstrating financial need is not required, but preferred. Additional application materials are required for this scholarship.

For graduates or students in good standing qualifying for graduation from Washington County, Kansas. Preference shall be given to applicants from Mahaska, Haddam, and Morrowville areas, but it is not a requirement.

• Scholarship recipients are eligible to reapply as part of the total applicant pool, so long as they continue to meet the scholarship criteria. 

Ronald F. Shepard Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering who exhibit the following characteristics for which “Shep” is so fondly remembered: a relentless curiosity, a spirit of collaboration, a drive for innovation, and a commitment to learning, creating and growing alongside others. Additional application materials are required for this scholarship.

Melissa Wroblewski Scholarship

The Melissa Wroblewski Memorial Scholarship was established in loving memory of Melissa Wroblewski, a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School. This award is presented annually to a graduating senior from Kalamazoo Central or Loy Norrix High School who desires to pursue studies in the visual arts.
