Dr. John Halligan Scholarship Fund

This is a scholarship fund established for students in pursuit of a medical career.

Dr. John Halligan graduated from The United States Military Academy at West Point in 1985 and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences with an MD. After completing his residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Washington, Dr. Halligan served in the US Army as a Radiation Oncologist until his retirement as a Colonel in 2008. After retiring from the military, Dr. Halligan fulfilled a decades-long dream and moved to Alaska to become the Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at Providence Alaska Medical Center. He has since expanded state-of-the-art cancer care in Alaska by opening Radiation Oncology Clinics in Soldotna, Juneau, and the MatSu Valley so Alaskans could receive care closer to their homes.

Harry H. Hirshik Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund focused on automobile mechanic education.

The Harry H. Hirshik Scholarship supports Alaskan students pursuing education or training in the field of automotive mechanics. Harry H. Hirshik was military-civil employee-mechanic. He lived in Eagle River and loved Alaska.

Holly Dick Scholarship Fund

This scholarship fund was created by Holly Dick who learned from her own life experiences how education can change lives.

The Holly Dick Scholarship will provide eligible students with an educational scholarship to support the pursuit of post-high school education, including vocational training that will give them a future career. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic performance, community activities, letters of reference, and leadership activities with a preference for Chinese American students who are the first generation in their family to attend college or Chinese Alaskan students. Students must be enrolled full-time to qualify for a scholarship.

Holly WaiHung Dick left mainland China with her family in 1947 for a better life in Hong Kong. Her life experiences taught her that education changes lives. After completing school in China, Holly was hired by Japan Airlines, where she met her future husband, an American, Mike Dick. Holly and Mike lived in Anchorage, where they loved to fish and enjoy friends, family, and their Alaskan life. Holly loved to help others along their path in life. She volunteered as a translator for immigrants and helped children in daycare settings. 

This scholarship is her legacy fulfilling her hope to help Chinese students increase their experience and skills with education so they can find a job and a career to support their future.

Community Foundation of the Ozarks

The Community Foundation of the Ozarks (CFO) provides philanthropic leadership to build stronger communities. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in our region through resource development, community grantmaking, collaboration and public leadership.

We help donors achieve their philanthropic goals through professional management and investment of charitable funds. The CDC's NCIPC is seeking research proposals to tackle implementation challenges in providing linkage to care services for individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD). This initiative encourages partnerships with public health entities and local healthcare champions to create actionable, evidence-based strategies. The goal is to enhance care access and ensure comprehensive overdose prevention services are available in real-world healthcare settings, thereby improving outcomes for those at risk of opioid overdose.

The America’s Horse Cares Grant Program, provided by the American Quarter Horse Association, aims to enhance the welfare and training of American Quarter Horses in therapeutic settings. By funding educational workshops from March to September 2026, the program seeks to elevate horsemanship standards and ensure proper horse care. MCMS Foundation Scholarship Fund

Middlesex County Medical Society Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization that awards scholarships to deserving students from Middlesex County, New Jersey for the study of medicine. Scholarships are awarded to deserving students who are enrolled in an accredited medical school.

The TKoster’s Charitable Innovated Health Care Award, established by Teresa Koster, aims to enhance students' access to quality health care. John-Elizabeth Blaho Miller Fund

The John-Elizabeth Blaho Miller Fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation was created to provide scholarship assistance for students, with a preference for students who have an awareness and appreciation of Hungarian culture, including its history, customs, and traditions, and who are undertaking a theological education in preparation for a ministry that draws upon Lutheran teachings in its worldview. John C. Miller was born in Budapest October 1910. In 1921 he immigrated to the United States with his parents (John Miller and Elizabeth Blaho Miller) where they resided in Ambridge, PA. For several years John was the manager of five motion picture houses owned by the Chateau Amusement Company. In 1955 he became a program supervisor at Buhl Planetarium where he retired at the age of 67 in 1977. In December 2001 John established this scholarship in memory of his parents.

The U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of International Labor Affairs announces a $6 million cooperative agreement to enhance traceability and responsible sourcing in South Asian cotton supply chains. Healthcare Excellence Scholarship Fund

The Aurora Integrated Oncology Foundation is pleased to offer scholarships to support Alaskan students achieve their fullest potential, with the goal of helping students improve their lives and improve healthcare in their communities.

The NACRJ Mini-Grants provide funding of up to $500 for projects promoting community and restorative justice. Launched in 2016, the initiative has allocated over $60,000 to support NACRJ members nationwide. Greater Ketchikan Chamber of Commerce Endowed Scholarship Fund

The mission of the Greater Ketchikan Chamber of Commerce is to advocate and educate on behalf of members to promote a healthy business climate that recognizes both Ketchikan’s quality of life and its economic potential.

The Robert Bulger Memorial Scholarship Fund was established at The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County by a community member and long-time supporter of Jeannette District Memorial Hospital in honor of its former CEO and President, Robert J. Bulger. Scholarships are to benefit graduating high school senior from Jeannette High School, Hempfield High School and Penn Trafford High School who wish to earn credits within the healthcare field that lead to an associate degree, diploma, certificate or a baccalaureate degree program at a two or four-year institution.

The Wallace E. Pavlick Scholarship Fund, established by The Pittsburgh Foundation, supports members of the Parish of Triumph of the Holy Cross in Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania, who are pursuing higher education. The Robert R. Since awarding our first $500 scholarship in 1987, the Saginaw Community Foundation has awarded college scholarships to area students totaling more than $13.7 million, thanks to our generous donors. James P. Konieczka Memorial Scholarship

The James P. Konieczka Memorial Scholarship was established by his three children, Bryan, Amy, and Katie, to honor their father’s wishes after his passing in 2016 following a courageous year-long battle with cancer.

Jim believed in the value of a college education, but he also understood that not everyone wants to pursue this post-secondary education path. It was his wish that this scholarship be made available to someone seeking Career and Techincal Education (CTE) training or to someone seeking a traditional college degree.

We award over 120 scholarships each year to Monroe County residents. Whether you’re heading to college, pursuing a technical career, or furthering your education as an adult, there’s a scholarship for you. 

Community Foundation of Monroe County Scholarship

The Nourishing Neighbors Innovation Incubation Fund RFP invites organizations to submit innovative proposals aimed at ending hunger. The AGS Infrastructure Cluster oversees critical facilities for atmospheric and geospace sciences research, primarily focusing on the NSF National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). Located in Boulder, Colorado, NCAR serves as a hub for atmospheric science, providing advanced computer models, supercomputing, and extensive data to support university researchers. Through a cooperative agreement with the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research, NCAR trains the next generation of Earth system scientists, ensuring the growth of this vital field.

The Health Services Research Grants, offered by the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research, focus on enhancing physical therapy services through evidence-based studies. Proposals must align with the 2023 APTA Research Agenda, addressing topics that improve patient outcomes and care delivery, particularly in underserved populations. This initiative aims to elevate the role of physical therapists and optimize healthcare access.

The BMC Expedition Grant supports British climbers for international expeditions, prioritizing those who have been BMC members for at least two years. Grants are aimed at younger climbers and under-represented groups, promoting sustainable practices in expedition planning. Eligible teams must demonstrate a commitment to climbing and innovative objectives, while ineligible projects include commercial expeditions and those failing to adhere to grant conditions. This funding aims to foster significant personal development and environmentally conscious climbing.
