Open to undergraduate students attending a college in the state of Michigan who are studying technology-related fields with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference to Challenge Scholar students through 2032.

The ON Semiconductor Foundation, an onsemi Giving Now program, has named PLTW a strategic partner and made an additional investment to support grants for schools in onsemi communities to implement or expand the PLTW Biomedical Science program for the 2026-2027 school year.

PLTW Biomedical Science- Program Expansion

Program Requirements

Grantee must offer at least one PLTW Biomedical Science course in the 2026-2027 academic year. Schools may implement any PLTW Biomedical Science courses of their choosing.

Robert E. Stark and Martin H. Stark Scholarship

The Robert E. and Martin H. Stark Scholarship was established in 2003 to further educational opportunity and the general well-being of the Saginaw area.

Michigan Lighthouse Assistance Program (MLAP)

The Michigan Lighthouse Assistance Program (MLAP) was established to assist in the preservation, rehabilitation, and protection of historic lighthouses in Michigan.

With more than 120 lighthouses standing sentinel along Michigan’s 3,200 miles of shoreline, Michigan has more lighthouses than any other state in the country. Established in 2000 when many lighthouses were transferred out of federal ownership, the MLAP program is intended to help lighthouse stewards restore and repair their historic lighthouses, which in turn helps keep them open and an active part of local economies around the state as tourist and learning destinations. 

This grant program is managed through the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO).

Funding for the MLAP comes from the sale of lighthouse license plates.

The Fisheries Habitat Grant Program (FHGP) 2025 aims to enhance aquatic resources through habitat conservation, dam management, and resource assessments. It supports projects that address habitat degradation causes, promote sustainable fish communities, and ensure public safety related to aging dam infrastructure. Competitive applicants must demonstrate cost-effective solutions and monitor project outcomes. Funding includes approximately $1,184,000 for aquatic habitat conservation and $350,000 for dam management, fostering partnerships for effective habitat protection.

MIOSHA Workplace Improvement to Safety and Health (MIWISH) Grant Program

The MIOSHA Workplace Improvement to Safety and Health (MIWISH) Grant Program awards qualifying employers a dollar-for-dollar match – up to $5,000 – to purchase safety and health-related equipment and equipment-related training. The goal of the program is to create a safer and healthier work environment and reduce the risk of injury and illness to workers in Michigan.

This is a reimbursement program. Grant awards are limited to one per company. Invoices dated prior to the approved contract date are not eligible for this program. Grants are awarded to employers that best satisfy the MIWISH goals.

Examples of eligible grants include:

• Eyewash stations
• Fall protection systems
• Machine guarding
• Lock out/tag out systems
• Monitoring equipment and equipment for noise
• Lifting equipment for small nursing care facilities

The MIHEF Healthy Aging RFP aims to enhance the health and wellness of Michigan's older adults and caregivers by funding innovative projects. The MGM Resorts Foundation Community Grant Fund supports nonprofit agencies providing essential services in areas such as affordable housing, education, and health. Grants are awarded for a one-year period and focus on regions where MGM Resorts employees live and work. Eligible applicants must comply with diversity policies and serve individuals or families. Open to students who are residents of Kent County for 3+ years, attending CMU, WMU, GRCC, MSU or U-M and with a minimum 2.75 GPA.

Founded in 1969, the Foundation prioritizes diversity, financial capability, and sustainability. Their grants aim to empower individuals for success by improving access to resources, fostering economic inclusion, and creating safe environments. By partnering with community organizations, KeyBank Foundation seeks to make a measurable impact and ensure lasting positive change for families and small businesses.

The Michigan Invasive Species Grant Program (MISGP) aims to combat both terrestrial and aquatic invasive species through prevention, detection, eradication, and control strategies. Jointly managed by the Departments of Natural Resources, Environmental Quality, and Agriculture, this program focuses on strengthening the early detection network, preventing new invasions, and controlling established species. Funding is prioritized based on specific criteria, project metrics, and geographic location, ensuring effective resource allocation.

Grants may benefit teacher continuing education when projects fit its educational, religious, scientific, human services, or animal welfare purposes, with a particular focus on Protestant or non-sectarian agencies.

The Andrew Mozola Scholarship, funded by the American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG), supports undergraduate students majoring in geology. This scholarship helps cover college education costs and promotes student engagement with AIPG. Eligible applicants must be AIPG student members, have a minimum GPA of 3.0 overall and 3.5 in their major, and be sophomores or higher. AIPG has been advocating for geoscientists since 1963.
