Search Through Grants for Capital Funding in Idaho

AgWest Farm Credit offers the Rural Community Grants program aimed at enhancing the economic and social well-being of rural communities in the western United States. Non-profit organizations can apply for grants up to $5,000 for various community projects, such as facility improvements and equipment purchases. Applications are reviewed monthly, and a letter of support from an AgWest employee or customer is required. The program is committed to fostering innovative solutions for rural challenges.

Lewis-Clark Valley Healthcare Foundation’s Fast Track Grant

The Fast-Track Grant is a quick turnaround grant of $2,500 to $10,000 to support efforts and organizations that promote the health, wellness, or disease prevention of persons in our nine-county service area. This region includes Clearwater, Idaho, Latah, Lewis and Nez Perce Counties in Idaho; Asotin, Garfield and Whitman Counties in Washington; and, Wallowa County in Oregon. While any organization can apply, Fast-Track Grants are especially intended for small, health and wellness focused nonprofits with annual operating budgets of under $250,000 that are serving our most rural communities.

Funds can be used to support programs and projects, capital expenses, capacity building, or general operating costs. Funds are awarded monthly and must be spent within a year from being granted. Organizations can apply for one Fast Track Grant per year per purpose. Please note: Fast Track Grants are subject to eligibility, fit, and available funds. The Lewis-Clark Valley Healthcare Foundation reserves the right to deny funding to organizations that are not a clear fit with our purpose.

2026 Fast Track Timeline:

The Fast-Track grant season will open March 1st and it will remain open until the Fast Track grant fund allocation for 2026 is used up. Applicants are typically notified within 60 days whether or not their application has been approved.

The Bonner County Fund for Arts Enhancement provides funding to enhance artistic programs in Bonner County. It supports initiatives that focus on education, creativity, and community engagement, encouraging projects that demonstrate the value of the arts in promoting critical thinking and economic vitality. Eligible applicants include 501c3 organizations, public educational institutions, and government entities. The fund prioritizes collaborative projects with educational components and community support, aiming to enrich the cultural landscape of Bonner County.

The True Inspiration Awards, established by Chick-fil-A in 2015, recognizes nonprofit organizations that significantly impact their communities. In 2025, the program will distribute $6 million in grants, ranging from $30,000 to $350,000, to sixteen selected organizations. Categories include Caring for People, Caring through Food, Community, and Caring for our Planet, with a focus on educational initiatives, food security, housing services, and environmental stewardship, honoring the legacy of founder S. Truett Cathy.

The In-N-Out Burger Foundation supports organizations that aid children and youth affected by abuse and neglect, offering grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000. Eligible nonprofits must be 501(c)(3) registered, operational for at least two years, and demonstrate a commitment to the foundation's mission. Applications are considered for traditional, capital, and program support, focusing on sustainable solutions and clear objectives. Organizations must operate in areas with In-N-Out Burger locations to qualify.

The Stimson-Miller Foundation Grant supports civic, cultural, educational, and health-related initiatives in communities where Stimson Lumber Company operates. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) public charities and located within 60 miles of a mill or corporate office. The Foundation prioritizes shareholder-driven projects and specific program support over general operational funding. Note that organizations previously funded are not eligible this year.

The PacificSource Foundation for Health Improvement, a private foundation, is dedicated to promoting health equity since 1992. With a focus on underserved populations in Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and parts of Washington, the foundation supports initiatives that enhance access to healthcare and address health disparities. They provide both one-year and multi-year funding, typically ranging from $10,000 to $50,000, to organizations committed to advancing health equity through diverse community-driven solutions.

The Idaho Workforce Development Council offers an Employer Grant to support local businesses in expanding their workforce or retraining existing employees for economic growth. Grants can provide up to $500,000 per project, aimed at enhancing skills for better job opportunities. The program emphasizes innovation, best practices in talent development, and improving economic mobility. Eligible employers must meet wage standards and provide health benefits, while temporary positions are not eligible for funding.

The Idaho Workforce Development Council's Industry Sector Grant aims to engage employers in creating training solutions to tackle workforce challenges and skill gaps in Idaho. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The grant focuses on enhancing economic mobility, fostering innovation, and replicating best practices in talent development, ultimately supporting job creation and skills advancement for Idahoans.

The Forever Idaho Grant Program, supported by the Idaho Community Foundation, provides crucial funding to nonprofits in the northern region of Idaho. It prioritizes projects that address family homelessness, education, mental health, and access to essential services. Grants can cover both direct and indirect costs, allowing organizations the flexibility to meet community needs effectively. This program demonstrates a commitment to evolving local challenges and enhancing community well-being through targeted support.

The Blue Cross of Idaho: Employee Community Fund provides grants aimed at enhancing access to behavioral and mental health services for underserved populations, including veterans and youth. Funded by Blue Cross employees, this initiative supports nonprofit organizations in Idaho that did not receive ECF funding in 2024. Priorities include promoting mental healthcare, supporting capital expenditures for service expansion, and fostering growth opportunities for health programs. This year, the fund is dedicated to addressing critical mental health needs.

The Idaho Workforce Development Council offers Industry Sector Grants to support employers in developing training solutions that address workforce issues and skills gaps in Idaho. These grants are provided on a non-competitive, first come, first-served basis, encouraging collaborative efforts among industry partners. The program aims to enhance economic mobility, job creation, and innovation in talent development while ensuring a return on investment for participants through increased wages and credential attainment.

The Idaho Workforce Development Council's Outreach Project Grant provides funding for initiatives that enhance public information and outreach regarding career education and workforce training opportunities. This grant aims to support new projects and expand existing programs, with funding offered on a reimbursement basis. Eligible applicants include state agencies, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and employers. Applications are reviewed monthly, with a focus on increasing economic mobility for Idahoans through effective workforce training.

Lewis-Clark Valley Healthcare Foundation’s Impact Grant Program 

The Lewis-Clark Valley Healthcare Foundation’s Impact Grant Program will fund one-year requests to support projects and initiatives that promote the health, wellness, or disease prevention of persons within the Foundation Service Area in a manner that respects the religious, ethical, and more principles of the Roman Catholic Church and adheres to the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services. The Foundation Service Area includes nine counties: Clearwater, Idaho, Latah, Lewis and Nez Perce Counties in Idaho; Asotin, Garfield and Whitman Counties in Washington; and, Wallowa County in Oregon.

The large Impact Grant is intended for requests from $25,000 to $100,000. Priority will be given to applications that demonstrate a commitment to a long-term vision, and projects that address the root causes that affect health, wellness, and help prevent disease.

The Foundation looks forward to supporting non-profit agencies in responding to those needs.

The M J Murdock Charitable Trust offers the Strategic Projects: Program & Staff Grants to support nonprofits in the Pacific Northwest. These grants focus on capacity-building for mission-driven projects and infrastructure investments. Eligible organizations must demonstrate a commitment to community flourishing, with funding available for new programs or expansion of existing ones. The Trust prioritizes initiatives that align with its strategic goals, fostering sustainable nonprofit growth and impact in the region.

The Strategic Projects: Capital Grants by the M J Murdock Charitable Trust offer vital funding opportunities for nonprofit organizations in the Pacific Northwest. These grants support transformative projects that enhance community well-being through construction, renovation, and infrastructure investments. Eligible entities include 501(c)(3) nonprofits and government entities. The Trust emphasizes projects that demonstrate strong community impact and funding diversification, ensuring sustainable growth and lasting benefits for the communities served.

The M J Murdock Charitable Trust offers Strategic Projects: Equipment & Technology Grants to nonprofits in the Pacific Northwest. These grants focus on capacity-building projects and essential equipment, requiring recipients to cover at least 50% of costs. Eligible organizations include 501(c)(3) nonprofits and tribal entities. Priority is given to projects enhancing community services, education, and environmental stewardship, supporting initiatives that foster human flourishing and demonstrate diversified funding.

Child & Family Mental Well-Being Grants

To qualify for Child and Family Mental Well-Being funding, your program or service must focus on families with children. Funding priority areas include:

• Mental well-being for children, including: reducing suicide deaths; reducing frequent mental distress, anxiety, and depression; decreasing substance misuse
• Advance prevention and early intervention addressing risk and protective factors
• Expand comprehensive, family-centered, mental well-being programs
• Build trauma-informed systems for young children including evidence-based prevention, behavioral health treatment, or related interventions or programs
• Strengthen community behavioral health capacity and collaborations through coalition-building

Requirements

• A full and complete financial audit conducted within the last two years. Submission must include the entire audit, including any findings and the auditor's letter
• A copy of the organization's 501(c)(3) designation letter or a comparable government designation
• A completed W9
• A completed Supplier Form (a blank copy will be provided in the application)

Additional information

• In Utah and Idaho, applicants can request a total grant award between $5,000 to $100,000 per year for 3 years (up to $300,000 total) for the entire project period. Projects can last between 12 and 36 months and must begin upon receipt of funding.
• In Colorado, Montana, and Nevada, applicants can request a total grant award between $5,000 to $50,000 per year for 2 years (up to $100,000 total) for the entire project period. Projects can last between 12 and 36 months and must begin upon receipt of funding.
• A funding request may not exceed 20 percent of an organization’s annual operating budget, e.g., to be eligible for a $50,000 grant, your organization’s annual operating budget must be at least $250,000.
• In general, small equipment and materials are eligible at no more than a total $5,000 cost, but large equipment, construction, and capital costs are not eligible. Consideration will be given if computer equipment is necessary and vital to the success of the project.

Social Drivers of Health Grants

• Improve stable and quality housing through wraparound and support services

Additional information

• Applications will be accepted for new or existing programs that clearly address a social driver of health. New programs may include pilot initiatives.
• In Utah and Idaho, applicants can request a total grant award between $5,000 to $100,000 per year for 3 years (up to $300,000 total) for the entire project period. Projects can last between 12 and 36 months and must begin upon receipt of funding.
• In Colorado, Montana, and Nevada, applicants can request a total grant award between $5,000 to $50,000 per year for 2 years (up to $100,000 total) for the entire project period. Projects can last between 12 and 36 months and must begin upon receipt of funding.
• Budget Limitation - A funding request may not exceed 20 percent of an organization’s annual operating budget, e.g., to be eligible for a $50,000 grant, your organization’s annual operating budget must be at least $250,000.

The Innovia Foundation's Community Grant Program offers funding to organizations in a 20-county region, with awards ranging from $2,500 to $15,000. This program prioritizes impactful community initiatives in education, arts, economic opportunity, health, and quality of life. Eligible applicants include public charities and federally recognized tribes. The foundation emphasizes collaboration and inclusivity, aiming to address basic human needs and reduce inequity, while fostering vibrant and sustainable communities.

The Idaho and Montana Grant Program, managed by the Steele-Reese Foundation, focuses on supporting rural communities through educational, health, conservation, and arts initiatives. Grants are available exclusively to federally tax-exempt organizations serving these areas. The Foundation prioritizes projects that directly benefit low-income and underrepresented populations, emphasizing sustainable community development. Interested applicants should ensure their projects align with the Foundation's criteria, as only select proposals will be funded.

The Community Foundation of Teton Valley's Competitive Grants Program aims to enhance community welfare through generous funding for nonprofits. This initiative supports diverse projects across arts, education, environment, and social services, prioritizing those that directly benefit Teton County, Idaho and Alta, Wyoming. Eligible organizations must adhere to IRS regulations and demonstrate a commitment to community-oriented objectives. With a focus on impactful programming, the foundation encourages innovative proposals that foster sustainable growth and community engagement.

Tenant and Housing Justice Grant

Social Justice Fund Northwest (SJF) is pleased to announce the 2026 Tenant & Housing Justice Grant, open to grassroots organizations in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and/or Wyoming.

Grant Awards:

• Maximum one-year grant award of $25,000

Focus:

• Tenant and housing justice organizing in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming

Description

This grant seeks to support organizations working to undo and/or create alternative solutions to exploitative housing systems which were built and are sustained by capitalism, colonialism, classism, racism, xenophobia, and ableism. This grant will fund organizations that meet SJF’s community organizing framework and prioritize communities underrepresented in traditional grantmaking.

Tenant and Housing Justice community organizing work can include, but is not limited to:

• Collective power building among tenants to dismantle and push against the current oppressive housing systems and structures 
  • Examples: rental and utilities assistance, tenants’ rights training, eviction prevention and intervention, etc.
• Local and statewide tenant and housing systems/policy change 
• Tenant leadership development
• Creating collective, cooperative housing structures
• Re-entry organizing by and for folks who were recently incarcerated to provide housing and resources, influence and set policy, etc.
• Disability justice organizing focused on affordable, accessible, and supportive housing for disabled folks and elders
• Survivor-led organizing for people transitioning out of abusive situations
