Stillbirth Awareness Campaign NOFA

The grant will be used to develop and maintain a state-wide, evidence-based, stillbirth prevention public health campaign that increases awareness of stillbirth prevention measures and decrease New Jersey's high stillborn rate.

The Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) Program offers grants and education to farmers, educators, service providers, researchers and others to address key issues affecting the sustainability of agriculture throughout our region.

The program serves Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C. The program is administered by Northeast SARE's host institution, the University of Vermont.

Farming Community Grant Program

The Northeast SARE Farming Community Grant applies social science research and education projects that strengthen farming and food systems at the community level.

These projects explore innovative approaches to improving the health and sustainability of agricultural communities in the Northeast. This program supports projects that are grounded in community partnerships and informed by the lived experiences of farmers. It encourages collaboration among farmers, service providers, researchers, and nonprofit organizations to co-create solutions that are responsive to local needs and scalable across the region.

This program encourages innovative solutions to challenges in farming and food systems in the Northeast USA, including but not limited to the areas of: Marketing and business; Crop production; Raising livestock; Aquaculture; Economic and social sustainability; Ecological knowledge; Projects related to climate and/or bioenergy work that provide direct or indirect benefits to farmers,ranchers, and private foresters; and more.

Technical Assistance Program

Applicants and grantees of the Farming Community Grant Program are eligible for Technical Assistance (TA) provided by Northeast SARE’s Technical Assistance Providers.

The Paulina and Stephen Cepreghy Foundation, established in 1999, focuses on funding organizations that support environmental, cultural, educational, and religious initiatives promoting social justice. With an average grant size of $5,000 to $15,000 and four to five grants awarded annually, the foundation prioritizes projects that align with its mission. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) compliant, particularly those based in New Jersey, while requests for salaries are typically not funded.

Nature's Path's Gardens for Good program empowers communities by funding organic gardens that address food insecurity. Since 2010, it has donated $930,000 CAD to support 120 gardens. In 2023, grants of $6,500 each will be awarded to 20 gardens across the U.S. and Canada. Pre-Employment Transition Services- Paid Work-Based Learning Experiences

The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (NJDOLWD), Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services understands the potential of meaningful work experience programs. The purpose of this contract’s services is to provide Paid Work-Based Learning Experiences (WBLE), under the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services matrix of Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS). The services will enable Students with Disabilities (SWD) 16 to 21 years of age to experience work in Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) for 150 hours.

Entities That Can Apply for Funding Under This NCO: Eligible applicants must be organizations with the capacity to service people with disabilities.

The Medical Student Education Program (MSE) supports public medical schools in states facing primary care provider shortages, aiming to enhance medical education for future physicians. Eligible states include those in the top quartile projected to face shortages by 2038. Currently, 12 states such as Alabama and Texas are recognized, with 23 public medical schools identified as potential beneficiaries. Note that current MSE grantees are ineligible for the 2026 funding cycle.

Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children WIC

To improve the nutrition and health status of eligible pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5; encourage the utilization of each WIC participant of available health and social services ; and promote and support breastfeeding.

New Jersey Poison Information and Education System NJPIES NOFO

Provide poison expertise, treatment advice, and drug information; staffed by pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and poison information providers who are toxicology specialists and can provide immediate poison exposure management instructions. To operate and maintain a statewide poison information and education system according to P.L.1982, c.177 (NJSA 26: 2-119).

It is renewable for one year, contingent on future funding availability, and awards are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Project Lead The Way is offering a rolling grant opportunity for schools to implement the PLTW Engineering program for the 2025-2026 academic year and beyond. Eligible institutions include public, private, and charter schools located in the US. Grant recipients will receive funding to cover participation fees and training costs. Total funding amounts to $16,000, distributed over three years. Schools are encouraged to create pathways for students in engineering through this initiative.

Project Lead The Way (PLTW) offers grants for schools to implement the PLTW Computer Science program from 2025 to 2028. Schools must provide at least one PLTW course in the first year and two courses in the second year. The total grant is $14,000, covering participation fees and training costs. Eligible institutions include public, private, and charter schools located in the U.S., with special encouragement for those serving low-income or minority-majority populations.

The Community College Opportunity Grant (CCOG) in New Jersey provides tuition-free community college for eligible residents. Students with an Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) between $0 and $65,000 can apply, ensuring they meet deadlines and maintain academic progress. CCOG covers remaining tuition costs after other financial aid is applied, making higher education accessible to more individuals. This initiative reflects New Jersey's commitment to supporting students in their pursuit of a first associate degree.

The Robert Sydney Needham Foundation Grant, established in memory of Robert Sydney Needham, supports New Jersey colleges and universities in providing scholarships to deserving students. As a result, the New Jersey Agritourism Grant Program was created to support New Jersey Agritourism businesses to promote the expansion, diversification, and sustainability of New Jersey’s Agritourism industry.

The Agri-Tourism grant is open to New Jersey organizations who can demonstrate a significant interest in supporting New Jersey’s Agri-Tourism businesses in their efforts to attract, entertain and educate visitors.

The Consolidated Adult Basic Skills (ABS) and Integrated English Literacy and Civics Education (IELCE) Grant Program aims to enhance adult education and literacy through partnerships among government entities. Its objectives include helping adults gain literacy and skills for employment, supporting parents in their children's education, and aiding English language learners in improving their language and mathematics skills. This initiative will run from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.

The Honda USA Foundation's Mobility Pillar Award aims to empower individuals with disabilities by funding programs that enhance access and mobility. The foundation supports nonprofit organizations and schools that provide therapeutic, adaptive, and comprehensive care programs, as well as mobility modifications and assistive technology. Applications are accepted from U.S.-based organizations with 501(c)(3) status or fiscal sponsors, ensuring that the joy of mobility is accessible to all.

The Environment Pillar Award by Honda supports nonprofit organizations and schools in the U.S. focused on sustainability. Grants aim to reduce environmental impact through programs in decarbonization, clean energy, and efficient resource use. Eligible projects must align with Honda's mission and primarily benefit communities where Honda associates live and work. Organizations can apply for up to two grants, provided they meet specific eligibility criteria, including tax-exempt status under the IRS.

The Programmatic Support - Education Pillar Award by Honda aims to enhance workforce readiness in the manufacturing sector. It supports nonprofit organizations and schools focused on hands-on programs in design, software/data analytics, and AI/machine learning. Eligible applicants must be US-based and have 501(c)(3) status. The initiative prioritizes projects that train individuals for manufacturing roles, develop technical skills, and introduce automation to prepare for evolving industry demands, ultimately fostering economic prosperity in local communities.

The Citizens Philanthropic Foundation Grant for Financial Empowerment supports nonprofit organizations focused on providing financial education to low- and moderate-income individuals. The foundation prioritizes projects that demonstrate measurable impact, particularly those serving diverse populations in NJ and Metro New York. Eligible applicants must be IRS-qualified 501(c)(3) organizations and align their proposals with the foundation's goals of fostering financial literacy and collaboration with Citizens colleagues.
