The David G. & Jacqueline M. Braithwaite Scholarship, administered by the East Texas Communities Foundation, supports graduating seniors from East Texas planning to major in biology, mathematics, engineering, or related fields. This scholarship aims to empower students pursuing careers in medicine, veterinary medicine, or biotechnology. Financial need is not a consideration, and the scholarship is renewable, reflecting a commitment to education and community development in East Texas.

The Artist in Business Leadership (ABL) Fellowship supports Native artists in building sustainable art-centered businesses. This yearlong program provides $10,000 in funding along with professional development and networking opportunities. The Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region

One of The Community Foundation’s strategies for preserving and growing the quality of life in our region is supporting higher education for area students. Donors work with foundation staff to determine appropriate criteria for each fund. The Community Foundation currently administers more than fifty scholarship funds.

The Mary E. Berger Scholarship Fund

The Mary E. Berger Scholarship was established with a gift from Mary E. Berger and a future gift by the estate of Mary E. Berger to assist high school students who wish to attend college or university or professional school to pursue studies in art, music, history, political science, English, journalism and related liberal arts subject.
