The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) intends to issue a Broad Pragmatic Studies (BPS) PCORI Funding Announcement (PFA) on Aug. 4, 2026, seeking to fund high-impact, patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER) projects. Eligible applicants must be active NCAA members, with a focus on enhancing ethnic minority and gender representation in athletics administration. Apply now to become a National Health Service Corps (NHSC) approved site and use your status to recruit, hire, and retain clinicians.

As an NHSC-approved site, eligible clinicians can apply for NHSC Loan Repayment Programs, and you can hire NHSC Scholars or Students to Service participants. Sites can also post job opportunities on the Health Workforce Connector and participate in HRSA Virtual Job Fairs.

To apply, your site must:

• Be an eligible health care facility
• Provide comprehensive primary health care services (medical, oral, or behavioral health)
• Be located in a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA)
• Meet all requirements in the NHSC Site Reference Guide and NHSC Site Agreement

The NHSC New Site Application is only for sites that:

• Have never been NHSC-approved
• Are under new ownership
• Were previously approved, but are now inactive or expired

The Citi Foundation’s 2026 Community Finance Initiative commits $35 million to support programming that bolsters the financial stability, strength and safety of low-income households in the U.S.

Focus Areas

The Foundation seeks to support organizations advancing low-income household financial resilience in the United States across three focus areas:

Stabilize: Programs that help low-income households to build financial skills and confidence to manage daily finances and navigate financial stress.

• Financial coaching on budgeting, credit, debt reduction and savings strategies.
• Digital tools offering personalized financial guidance and product navigation.
• Assistance with public benefits and social safety net programs.

Strengthen: Programs that help low-income households build and repair credit, as well as short- and long-term financial assets.

• Financial products or services for credit building and credit repair.
• Initiatives to increase savings, including emergency funds.
• Support for homeownership, including readiness, preservation and long-term stability (e.g., first-time buyer assistance, preventing displacement and support systems for aging in place resources).

Safeguard: Programs that protect low-income household financial security by preventing and addressing financial losses.

• Education and support for the safe and confident use of digital financial tools.
• Fraud and scam awareness, prevention and recovery initiatives, including protection from identity theft.
• Interventions to help households recover from major financial shocks (e.g., healthcare costs, extended family care, job transitions or natural disasters).

Funding Opportunity

The Foundation plans to award 70 $500,000 (USD) grants (to be disbursed over two years) totaling $35 million to community organizations working in select communities where Citi has a presence.

The grants will be restricted and are anticipated to be disbursed in two annual payments in 2026 and 2027. Proposed projects should be for a term of 24 months, starting no sooner than August 1, 2026 and ending no later than December 31, 2028.

This award promotes graduate-level entomology and encourages attendance at the ESA Annual Meeting. Eligibility includes current enrollment in a graduate entomology program or recent graduation.

The NLSOT Postdoctoral Travel Award aims to support postdoctoral researchers from the Northland SOT region by covering travel costs to the national SOT Annual Meeting. The fellowship emphasizes exploration, exchange, and support, culminating in a rich cultural immersion.

The NLSOT Graduate Student Travel Award aims to assist graduate students from the Northland SOT region with travel costs to the national SOT Annual Meeting. This award encourages student involvement in local chapter activities and can be used for various travel-related expenses, including registration, airfare, lodging, and meals. By supporting student participation, the award fosters academic growth and networking opportunities within the toxicology community.

The NRP Research Grant Program offers up to $50,000 for healthcare professionals to explore optimal neonatal resuscitation methods. It encourages innovative research addressing gaps in transitional physiology and effective teaching of resuscitation skills. Applications must focus on evidence-based practices and demonstrate potential for meaningful impact in delivery room care. Researchers from Canadian and US institutions are eligible, though applications primarily focused on quality improvement without a research emphasis will not be considered.

The MCDARF Mini-Grants provide funding of less than $1,000 for small projects that promote historical interest, education, and genealogy. Ideal applicants should focus on enhancing local museums, supporting historical events, and fostering patriotism through various programs. The grants encourage community involvement and require matching contributions from other sources. However, applications for student scholarships and funding for capital campaigns are not accepted. These grants aim to make a meaningful impact on American heritage.

Background

Transportation Alternatives (TA) is a program that uses federal transportation funds, designated by Congress, for specific activities that enhance the inter-modal transportation system and provide safe alternative transportation options. TA encompasses a variety of smaller-scale non-motorized transportation projects such as pedestrian and bicycle facilities, recreational trails, safe routes to school projects, community improvements such as historic preservation and vegetation management, and environmental mitigation related to storm water and habitat connectivity.

Approximately $8 Million is available through a competitive project selection process administered by the South Department of Transportation (SDDOT) Office of Project Development. Projects may be limited to $600,000 depending on annual funding allowance. The minimum for infrastructure projects will be $50,000. There is no minimum for non-infrastructure projects. Minimum local match required is 18.05%.
