Florence Blish Scholarship Fund

Supporting residents of Agawam to attend college

The Louisville Institute's Postdoctoral Fellowship offers early career theological educators a unique opportunity for vocational and professional growth through a two-year placement at ATS-accredited institutions in the U.S. and Canada. With a stipend of $30,000 annually, housing, and insurance benefits, fellows engage in a structured formation program, attend three annual gatherings in Louisville, KY, and receive peer mentorship, enhancing their journey towards becoming effective theological educators.

Luther A. and Evelyn L. Belden Memorial Scholarship Fund

Supporting graduating high school seniors who are residents of Hatfield, MA, or graduating seniors of Smith Academy. If no qualified applicants meet these criteria, then any qualified applicant who is a graduating senior and a resident of Hampshire County shall be considered.

The ACL Music Festival Grants Program offers Community Impact Grants aimed at enhancing local parks through community-driven projects. Grants of $5,000 and up support improvements like playgrounds, trails, and gardens on city-owned land. Eligible applicants include Adopt-A-Park groups and neighborhood associations. Preference is given to projects that foster community participation, address unmet needs, and promote diverse usage. This funding initiative is essential for revitalizing parks that have historically lacked investment.

The Austin City Limits Music Festival Park Grants Program offers Neighborhood Grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 for community-led park improvement projects. These grants support Adopt-A-Park groups, stewards, and community gardens in enhancing public parks throughout the year. Projects must be on city-managed parkland and can be initiated by groups actively involved in park stewardship. This initiative aims to foster community engagement and improve local green spaces.

The NEA Big Read Grant, managed by Arts Midwest, aims to foster community engagement through shared reading experiences. This initiative funds nonprofit organizations to host diverse reading programs, encouraging cross-cultural understanding and creativity. With grants ranging from $5,000 to $20,000, organizations can conduct book discussions, workshops, and creative events to strengthen community ties and promote civic engagement. The program highlights local voices and invites participation from various audiences, creating a vibrant literary culture.

Mid Shore Community Foundation Mid-Shore Community Foundation awards scholarships to high school seniors in Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s and Talbot Counties, who are planning to attend a college, university, or trade school. In general, scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate academic achievement, community service, financial need, and other criteria specified by the donor.

The Foundation awards scholarships to high school seniors through a pooled scholarship application - students complete one online application in consideration for all scholarships to which they meet eligibility. All applications are reviewed and considered by the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee. Brendan Davis Memorial ScholarshipAwarded to students graduating from high schools in Kent and Talbot Counties, who are planning to pursue careers in the culinary arts. Recipients must pledge to be drug and alcohol free for the duration of the scholarship.

September 11th Remembrance Scholarship Fund

To support graduating high school seniors who reside in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire Counties.

The Serena Scholarship Fund, administered by the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts, supports graduating high school seniors from Springfield, Holyoke, Northampton, Amherst, or Greenfield, with a preference for those pursuing careers in addiction and recovery. Students complete one online application, and the Foundation matches them to various scholarships based on their eligibility. Scholarships can cover tuition, fees, and other educational expenses, promoting educational access for students in the region.
