With an investment of £10.8 million since 1995, it supports innovative research aimed at developing new treatments and improving clinical practices. Gail & Hilda Oster Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was established through a bequest from the estate of Gail and Hilda Oster for the purpose of providing meaningful support to graduating high school seniors or graduates, who are residents of Van Buren County or graduating high school seniors or graduates of high schools within Van Buren County, who are planning to pursue or are pursuing bachelor's degrees in the fields of education, mathematics or science; or enrolling or enrolled in a Veterinary Technologist or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine programs. The Urology Care Foundation's Health Equity Fellowship Grant aims to train early-career urologists dedicated to addressing healthcare disparities in marginalized communities. Over two years, fellows will engage in didactic education and hands-on advocacy projects, gaining skills to implement innovative solutions. The program emphasizes mentorship and collaboration with Temple University, providing a unique opportunity for urologists to enhance their understanding of urban bioethics and community engagement while receiving a recognized certification upon completion.

Brian Thiele Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship, established by family and friends in memory of Brian Thiele, provides financial assistance to students who exhibit characteristics similar to those for which Brian is so fondly remembered. This includes playing varsity and/or club soccer, achievement of personal and academic goals, overcoming obstacles to meet his goals, competitive spirit, leadership and a special caring for community. Additional application materials are required for this scholarship.

The Urology Care Foundation International Student Humanitarian Grant supports a medical student to undertake humanitarian work in Trinidad and Tobago. This grant is aimed at AUA Medical Student members, focusing on improving public health and urologic care for this underserved population. The project lasts 6-8 weeks during the summer, typically between the first and second years of medical school, encouraging diversity among applicants from accredited medical schools.

The AUA Data Research Grant Program, funded by the American Urological Association Inc, aims to enhance urologic research by fostering a diverse group of dedicated professionals. This initiative focuses on bridging knowledge gaps in urology care and cultivating physician scientists through access to comprehensive data sources and mentorship from AUA Data Committee experts. By supporting innovative research, the program contributes significantly to the advancement of patient care in urology.

The American Urological Association Rising Stars in Urology Research Award supports physician-scientists in their journey to become independent researchers in urology. By providing supplemental salary support for up to five years, the program ensures awardees maintain protected research time while receiving competitive compensation. This initiative encourages promising researchers to compete for further funding and enhances their training in urologic research, ultimately advancing the field and improving patient care.

New Bern Breakfast Rotary Todd Denson Memorial Scholarship Endowment

Criteria

Graduates of high schools in Craven County, North Carolina, or Craven County, North Carolina residents graduating from high school.

The American Urological Association's Research Scholar Award offers $40,000 annually for one or two years of mentored research training. This program aims to attract promising young investigators into urologic research, providing essential support to clinical and postdoctoral fellows within five years of completing their doctorate or residency and early career faculty within their first five years. This funding opportunity is crucial for fostering the next generation of urologic researchers.

The American Urological Association's Residency Research Award supports urology residents in their research training, aimed at fostering future leaders in urologic research. Each award provides $10,000 for essential research supplies and resources for projects lasting 3-12 months. Recipients must dedicate 80% of their time to research during this period, ensuring they build a strong foundation for their research careers.

The scholarship funds at the Foundation award grants to high school, community college and university students to be used for tuition, books, and fees.

Alfred F. Delchamps Sr. Memorial Fund

This scholarship is for a USA junior or senior in the Department of Teacher Education that demonstrates financial need. The student must be a teaching candidate, have a minimum 3.2 GPA, and provide evidence of interest/involvement in educational groups.

Beyond a shared commitment to educational opportunity, families establish scholarship funds with a variety of goals and purposes in mind. They may offer traditional scholarships or customize fund awards for alternative scholarships.

Currently, CFNJ administers more than 135 scholarship funds. Our scholarship opportunities run the gamut, from those exclusive to a local high school or geographic region to those supporting specific majors or career pursuits. Last year, we awarded over $2 million in scholarship assistance to 271 scholars.

Applicants may be evaluated on academic performance; extracurricular activities; community involvement; paid or unpaid work; and a statement of their personal aspirations, educational goals, and demonstrated unmet financial need in our scholarship review process.

Bego Scholarship

Preference for this scholarship will be given to students who are from recently immigrated families and are U.S. residents, naturalized citizens, or first-generation U.S. citizens. The candidate must be a resident from New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania. They also must have been accepted to, have applied for, or plan to attend an accredited four-year college. Applicants will be evaluated based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, community service, work (paid or unpaid), and unmet financial need.

Dominique Lisa Pandolfo Scholarship

Applicants for this scholarship must be a female senior who is graduating from a New Jersey high school and a resident of Bergen or Hudson counties. The student must demonstrate outstanding personal character and leadership qualities and have been accepted to an accredited four-year college or university within the United States. Applicants are not necessarily required to be the top in the class, but must show outstanding potential, merit, and/or improvement. Scholarships are based on merit and unmet financial need.
