General Sponsorship Requests

Tax-exempt nonprofits serving Blaine County, Idaho can apply for Spur Community Foundation’s Impact Grants, awarding up to US $50,000 for program-specific or capacity-building projects. Funding supports catalytic efforts that address pressing local needs, create measurable progress on community priorities, and generate lasting change beyond the grant period for Wood River Valley residents.

Blaine County, Idaho nonprofits improving local quality of life can access funding through Spur Community Foundation for program-specific, capacity-building, or general operating support. Tax-exempt organizations that broadly serve the Wood River Valley and address community needs may receive up to US $10,000 through these Community Grants.

Students in Blaine County, Idaho pursuing vocational or trade education can apply for the Idaho Power Technical Scholarship from Idacorp Employee Community Services Fund; awards US $2,500 for accredited Idaho technical school programs. Eligible applicants must live in Idaho Power’s service area and have a GPA above 2.75 or a GED.

The Community Health Improvement Fund Grants, established by St. Luke's Health System, aim to support nonprofit organizations dedicated to enhancing community health in Idaho. With a focus on collaborative and equity-driven approaches, these grants prioritize initiatives addressing significant health needs identified in the Community Health Needs Assessment. Organizations are encouraged to tackle social determinants of health such as access to nutritious foods, safe neighborhoods, and transportation to create healthier communities for all.

Local 501(c)(3) agencies providing health or human services in Blaine County, Idaho can seek support for their community programs. Grants from Idacorp Employee Community Services Fund help eligible nonprofits in Blaine County and other designated counties sustain and expand essential health and human services; approved agencies may reapply every two years.

Grants from Janice Seagraves Family Foundation help Blaine County, Idaho nonprofits, schools, religious, and governmental entities fund education, family and youth services, humanitarian work, and humane animal treatment projects. Eligible 501(c)(3) and public entities along the Hwy 93 and Hwy 75 corridor, including Blaine County, may apply for consideration at bi-monthly board meetings.

Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations serving Blaine County, Idaho can receive US $5,000 - US $25,000 for programs, services, infrastructure, or other mission-focused initiatives. Wood River Women's Foundation supports arts, education, environment, health, recreation, and social services projects, including capacity building, new ventures, and efforts addressing critical community needs or enriching the community.

Blaine County, Idaho 501(c)(3) nonprofits and public entities can receive general operating support for arts, education, health, environment, housing stability, and community benefit projects, with awards up to Up to US $25,000. Grants from Idaho Community Foundation help organizations cover payroll, rent, utilities, program costs, capital improvements, and other operating needs.

Blaine County, Idaho nonprofits can access funding through Idacorp Employee Community Services Fund for programs in health and human services, education, arts and culture, civic and community needs, environment, and recreation. Eligible 501(c)(3) organizations in Idaho Power’s southern Idaho and eastern Oregon service area may request capital, operating, program, or in-kind support such as equipment donations.

Blaine County, Idaho nonprofits and 501(c)(3) emergency response organizations can access funding for safety, workforce development, community vitality, and environmental sustainability projects through the Community Ties Giving Program. Union Pacific Foundation offers US $5,000 - US $30,000 local grants for programs primarily serving communities on its rail network, with strong emphasis on DEI and measurable community impact.

Nonprofit or government organizations improving primary medical or dental care access in Blaine County, Idaho can seek up to US $35,000 for one-year projects. Idaho Department of Health and Welfare’s Rural Health Care Access Program supports work in HPSA or MUA areas, including community development, telehealth, and recruitment or retention initiatives that strengthen rural health care delivery.

The Exploring Christian Practices Initiative by Lilly Endowment aims to enhance access to settings that enable diverse individuals to engage in Christian practices. This initiative seeks to address spiritual interests, foster community connections, and support the growth of faith. By multiplying opportunities for exploration, it encourages meaningful participation in religious life and nurtures a deeper understanding of Christian traditions.

The Wake Forest Capacity Building Grant, part of the Educating Character Initiative, aims to enhance character education in U.S. higher education institutions. Established in 2023 with support from Lilly Endowment Inc., the initiative has already provided $35 million in grants to 146 institutions. In 2026, new grants will be awarded to colleges and universities focused on fostering moral, civic, and intellectual character among their faculty, staff, and students.

The Institutional Impact Grants by Wake Forest University aim to support U.S. colleges and universities in fostering moral, civic, and intellectual character among their community members. In 2026, these grants will empower institutions committed to character development for faculty, staff, and students, promoting a holistic educational environment. This initiative underscores the importance of character in education, aligning with the university's mission to cultivate ethical leaders.

The Altrusa International of Grand Rapids Scholarship, supported by the Grand Rapids Community Foundation, aims to empower students from Allegan, Kent, Ionia, Muskegon, Montcalm, and Ottawa Counties. This scholarship is intended for individuals returning to college or entering after a two-year hiatus, emphasizing inclusivity and support for those with financial need. Recipients can benefit from awards ranging from $2,000 to $5,000, which are directly applied to educational costs, enhancing opportunities for academic and career advancement.

The Armando "Frank" Quaglia Veteran's Scholarship, offered by the Grand Rapids Community Foundation, supports full-time graduate or upper-level undergraduate students from Kent or Ionia County pursuing healthcare or engineering degrees. With a minimum 3.0 GPA, preference is given to veterans and their families. This scholarship aims to eliminate barriers to education, fostering academic success and connecting students to opportunities in West Michigan's inclusive community.

For graduating seniors of Thomasville High School, Thomasville Scholars Academy, Thomas County Central High School, Bishop Hall Charter School and Brookwood School, in Thomasville, Georgia, who have attained at least a 3.0 GPA in high school. Awards are based on community service, extracurricular school activities, financial need, academic achievement and personal integrity and character.

For a graduating senior from a public high school located in Albany, GA or a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church located in Albany, GA. All applicants must have a minimum high school GPA of 2.50. The award is based on Academics, Leadership Qualities, Extracurricular School Activities, Character, Community Service, Personal Integrity, and Financial Need. Special consideration will be given to members of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. This scholarship is given by the family of Caroline Cobey Goodwin, in loving memory of Ms. Mary Smith Gay.

The award is based on Academics, Leadership Qualities, Extracurricular School Activities, Community Service and Financial Need. Special consideration will be given to applicants from an underrepresented minority population as well as applicants who intend to major in Business, Accounting, Finance, Management or another business-related field of study.

For graduating seniors from a high school located in South Georgia within the service area of CFSGA who have attained at least a 2.5 GPA in high school. Awards are based on academics, leadership qualities, extracurricular school activities, character, community service and personal integrity, and financial need.

Hosea Hall & Lilly Eason Vann Scholarship

For a graduating senior of a high school located in Thomas County, Georgia who has attained at least a 3.0 GPA in high school. The award is based on Academics, Financial Need, Leadership Qualities, Extracurricular Activities and Community Service.

Unless noted otherwise in the scholarship description and criteria statement, applicants can attend accredited schools of their choice within the United States.

CFNJ scholarships awards vary. On average, awards range from $500 to $2,500. However, the award could be larger based on the number of qualified applicants and the parameters set by donors who have established the funds. 

Stephen A. Johnston Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a college sophomore, junior, or senior or a graduate student who is majoring in plant pathology or has demonstrated an interest in vegetable crop production or a related field. Preference will be given to a student who can demonstrate evidence of an association with the Rutgers University Agricultural Research and Extension Center.

Unless noted otherwise in the scholarship description and criteria statement, applicants can attend accredited schools of their choice within the United States.

CFNJ scholarships awards vary. On average, awards range from $500 to $2,500. However, the award could be larger based on the number of qualified applicants and the parameters set by donors who have established the funds. 

Vincent P. Arabia Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school senior or undergraduate student who is blind/visually impaired or has a permanent physical disability that impedes their mobility. The opportunity is open statewide, with preference given to South Jersey students (particular emphasis on Burlington County). Students will be evaluated on academic performance and unmet financial need.

The monetary value of each scholarship award varies depending upon the amount available in each individual scholarship fund. Scholarship award amounts range from $1,000 - $5,000 for a single year.

Otto A. Huth Scholarship Fund

Aging out of foster care or child welfare custody in Nevada?

The Otto A. Huth Scholarship Fund is established to provide support for youth who are about to age out of foster care or have already aged out of foster care in the state of Nevada who are seeking support for post-high school education (university, community college, business school, and trade school) at institutions located within the United States. Applicants must apply before their 21st birthday.

Applicants may apply for a scholarship for a maximum of 5 years for up to $40,000 in total. Annual scholarship awards are not to exceed $10,000. Scholarship awards may cover tuition, on-campus room & board, books, student health insurance, on-campus meal plans, and other education-related expenses.

Scholarship Fund Details

Support for West Michigan Students

Attending college or trade school increases opportunity and opens doors to careers. Donor partners who establish a scholarship fund give students a boost on their path to higher education. Students who complete the general scholarship application are considered for these scholarships.

Open to full time, third-year or higher undergraduate students who are 2+ year residents of Kent County enrolled in a STEM major.

Mitchell EMC – Operation Round Up Scholarship

For graduating high school seniors or students currently enrolled in or attending a post-secondary college or university in the United States, that has attained at least a 2.5 GPA in high school or college. The student, parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of the student must have their primary residence or a place of business in the Mitchell EMC service area. Awards are based on financial need, academic achievement, extracurricular school activities or employment, community service, and leadership qualities. Preference will be given to Mitchell EMC consumers.

A maximum of ten (10) renewable scholarships will be awarded on an annual basis. Scholarships will be $2,500 per semester, twice a year, for up to four years to assist in attaining an undergraduate degree from a post-secondary institution in the United States. After the first Semester, the monies for subsequent semesters will be issued provided that students have submitted prior semester grades to verify they have maintained a minimum GPA of 2.5 and continue to be enrolled as a full-time student.
