David J Lewandowski Memorial Award

The David J Lewandowski Memorial Award is presented to a graduating senior from Dunkirk, Forestville, or Fredonia who is entering a career in the trades, agriculture, conservation, forestry, or emergency services.

The AO North America: Young Investigator Research Development Award supports research initiatives for orthopedic trauma fellows in their first year post-fellowship. With a maximum funding of $30,000, the award facilitates professional growth through periodic reporting and networking. Eligible applicants must be fellows in an AO-supported program and current members of AO Trauma, ensuring a commitment to excellence in patient care and outcomes in the field of orthopedic trauma.

Nebraska Community Foundation

BCAFF Scholarships

The Butler County Area Foundation Fund is offering three scholarships to graduating seniors who meet individual scholarship criteria. These scholarships are the Butler County Clinic Scholarship (medical field major); Charles O. & Grace M. Stoops Scholarship in Agricultural or Environmental Studies; and Butler County Area Foundation Fund Scholarship.

Butler County Clinic Scholarship

Funding for the following scholarships through the Butler County Area Foundation Fund has been provided by the Butler County Clinic, P.C.

• Two $2,000 scholarships will be awarded annually. Graduates of Aquinas High School, David City High School, and East Butler High School may apply. Only one scholarship per school will be awarded. Each applicant may be an entering freshman or an upperclassman enrolled for post-secondary education at an accredited school of higher education in a medically-related major.

• One half of the scholarship funds ($1,000) will be paid directly to the school after the student has successfully completed the first semester and achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The remaining half of the scholarship funds ($1,000) will be paid directly to the school after the student has successfully completed the first academic year with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and has declared a major within a medically-related major.

• Upperclassman recipient funds will be paid in full ($2,000) directly to the school after the student has successfully completed a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher and has declared a major within the area of medicinal studies.

The MCSF- Undergraduate & Associate Degree Scholarship is designed to support the children of Marines and Navy Corpsmen pursuing undergraduate education. To qualify, applicants must demonstrate financial need and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.00. This scholarship can cover various educational expenses such as tuition, books, and transportation. It is an excellent opportunity for those who meet the eligibility criteria and are committed to furthering their education, while honoring the legacy of service in the Marine Corps.

The Animal Food Regulatory Program Standards Implementation Development and Maintenance initiative aims to enhance the national animal food safety system. This funding opportunity supports state regulatory programs in achieving and sustaining the Animal Food Regulatory Program Standards (AFRPS) within five years. By fostering collaboration with the FDA and standardizing regulatory processes, this initiative seeks to improve food safety, promote compliance, and mitigate foodborne illnesses, ultimately creating a more integrated food safety framework.

Amber Coffman Campbell Memorial Fund

Amber and her generous heart took time to genuinely listen, as good friends do. She saw the bright side of everyone and believed in the goodness in each person. Her blue eyes were luminous and her smile made everything right in the world. Bubbly and effervescent, Amber was a soul of happy endless optimistic youth.

In 2007 Amber and Darby Campbell were married at their new home on Sunny Side Road. She fell for his dashingly romantic side and was swept away with his humor and creative ideas. He adored her passionate energy and bright spirit. They loved the sun and surf …and each other. Amber always had an interest in beauty. She was a model in her younger days and on Maui she found the Esthetician school from which she graduated in 2003. She creatively blended the idea of beauty with the natural world and brought about a new spa in 2008. Her creation of Wildflower Day Spa took off. It was an unfolding of her dream.

Amber was passionate, inspiring and generous of spirit. She brought forth an idea that there was always something about to unfold, something magical just in front of us, that something beautiful would happen this very day. And it always did, she would find something delightful in her path, even the littlest thing and embrace it.

Although Amber left this world too soon, she has given us a gift of her unbidden joy that we carry around with us in our hearts. 

A New Direction Grant is offered to Bonner County residents seeking to better themselves by attending a college, university or trade school. 

You may use funds for tuition/registration to any college, university, technical school.

Wichita County Jr. Livestock Association Stock Show Scholarship

The Wichita County Junior Livestock Association Stock Show (WCJLS) Scholarship was created at WFACF in 2013 to support higher education endeavors of graduating high school seniors who participated in the respective FFA programs of Wichita Falls ISD, Iowa Park CISD, Electra ISD, Burkburnett ISD, City View ISD, or the Wichita County 4-H program. There is (1) one-time $2,000 scholarship available for a recipient from each of the 6 programs; students who are in the FFA and 4-H programs must decide which one they want to apply under at the time of application. The award can be used at any college or vocational/trade program in the U.S. for any field of study. To be eligible, students must have a 2.5 GPA and have exhibited a Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) for two consecutive years at the WCJLS. The top two candidates from each program will be interviewed by the scholarship committee and the award will be based 50/50 on application/interview. 

Learning from Abroad to Reimagine Health Knowledge Systems for Equity and Wellbeing Grant

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) is committed to dismantling structural racism and eliminating barriers to health equity by working alongside communities, practitioners, and institutions. One way we support this mission is by investing in the knowledge of historically marginalized communities and deepening the relationships that build community power, evidence, and systems of change. Another way we do this is by looking beyond the U.S. borders. The Global Ideas for U.S. Solutions team looks abroad for ideas to improve health equity, justice, and wellbeing in the U.S.  

This funding opportunity invites organizations to learn and produce solutions to build a more inclusive and equitable health knowledge system, inspired by other countries that have faced or are currently facing similar health equity challenges. It allows organizations to learn from efforts outside of the U.S. to reimagine and rebuild the health knowledge system in ways that can withstand systemic threats while advancing health equity and wellbeing for the future. Among many other characteristics yet to be identified, our learnings to date suggest that the following contribute to this reimagined version of the health knowledge system:  

• The experience of people most affected by health inequities is centered in the generation of data and evidence and in policymaking;
• Health is more than the absence of disease. It is about individual and collective healing and wellbeing;
• Mis- and disinformation are eliminated and public trust in science and evidence is restored;
• History, culture, and language are preserved and protected, and ecological and biomedical sciences are braided with Indigenous, traditional, holistic, and community frameworks; and
• Cross-sector approaches and global learning networks break down siloes and allow for more effective and equitable solutions. They leverage lessons from resistance movements and connect artists, researchers, public health, and civil society.

The purpose of this CFP is to support organizations in pursuing action-oriented projects that leverage learning from outside the U.S. to create a more durable and equitable health knowledge system in the U.S. These efforts will advance health equity, justice, and wellbeing through community-driven knowledge generation, preservation, and narrative. Together, these actions lay the foundation for a more inclusive, equitable, and resilient health knowledge system in times of crisis and beyond. 

Total Awards

Type of Award: Awards will be structured as grants and will be made to organizations, not to individuals.

• Number of Awards: Up to 15 awards will be funded.  
• Amount of Award: Awards will be up to $500,000 each. Please request only what is necessary to allow us to fund as many recipients as possible. We expect larger awards to correspond with more distributed funding (e.g., multiple people’s salaries or multiple activities). • Award Duration: Awards will be up to 36 months.  

The YMCA of San Diego County offers a Financial Aid Program through its ACCESS scholarship initiative, ensuring that everyone has the chance to participate in its community services. This program provides financial support to reduce membership, program, and childcare costs based on individual financial situations. Funded by generous donations from the Annual Campaign, it aims to serve those in need by utilizing a sliding fee scale for qualified applicants.

The Pasadena Art Alliance Grant supports contemporary visual arts in Southern California by funding innovative projects and educational programs. Established in 1955, this independent organization prioritizes grants for unconventional institutions and champions diverse artistic expressions. With over $8 million awarded since 1976, the PAA fosters community engagement and understanding of contemporary art. Preference is given to organizations located in the San Gabriel Valley, ensuring a focused impact on local art initiatives.

Real World Evidence on clinical outcomes with Aztreonam-Avibactam (ATM-AVI)

This RFP invites research proposals aimed at assessing clinical outcomes associated with the use of Aztreonam-Avibactam (ATM-AVI) in real world clinical settings.

In scope are adult patients with suspected or documented infections due to aerobic gram negative organisms. Eg. CRE-MBL, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, treated with ATM-AVI.

Geographic Scope

Countries where ATM-AVI is available (ex-US) and used in clinical practice at the time of RFP release, including but not limited to parts of EU, the United Kingdom, the Middle East, and selected Asia-Pacific markets. Proposals from institutions already participating in Pfizer-sponsored or funded, overlapping ATM-AVI RWE study may be considered out of scope. Proposals involving studies on patients that have received ATM-AVI via pre-approval or pre-launch expanded access routes may be considered out of scope

Project Types and Area of Interest

Potential applicants are requested to submit research proposals to study the below outcomes following treatment with ATM-AVI for adult patients with suspected or documented infections with aerobic gram negative organisms e.g. CRE-MBL, S. maltophilia.

• Clinical effectiveness with ATM-AVI
• Safety outcomes with ATM-AVI
• Microbiological outcomes with ATM-AVI
• Health Economic outcomes with ATM-AVI (in addition to any of the above)

Proposals may include data from special populations such as – immunocompromised (solid organ transplant or haemato-oncological patients)

Funding Range and Project Length

• Individual projects requesting up to $50,000 USD will be considered. The total budget for this RFP is $ 250,000 USD
• Maximum project length is 12 months

The OJP FY 2026 Special Attorneys Program aims to enhance the prosecutorial capacity of state, local, Tribal, and territorial agencies by assigning qualified prosecutors as Special Attorneys. These prosecutors will investigate and prosecute fraud and other crimes committed by aliens in the U.S., as well as drug and human trafficking cases. This initiative, coordinated with federal authorities, seeks to strengthen intergovernmental collaboration and ensure effective enforcement of criminal laws.

ACHF will accomplish this mission by funding sustainable college health initiatives and programs, including education, research, and professional development in partnership with the American College Health Association and its members.

Kathy Mac Nurse Scholar Travel Funding Opportunity

The American College Health Foundation, through the Kathy Mac Scholar Fund, will offer funding to partially offset meeting registration, hotel and travel expenses for one nurse or nurse practitioner, who has never been to an ACHA meeting, to attend the ACHA Annual Meeting.

Applicants will be responsible for any remaining travel expenses not covered by the ACHF Kathy Mac Scholar Fund and will be required to submit proof of the availability of these funds.

Post-meeting requirements for award recipients will include the following:

• Make a brief presentation to the ACHF Board during their annual business meeting at the ACHA Annual Meeting.
• Provide a written evaluation of the Scholar’s annual meeting experience that could be published in Action, Impact, ACHF webpage, or in other publications.
• Become involved in a health center or campus project following the meeting.

ACHF will accomplish this mission by funding sustainable college health initiatives and programs, including education, research, and professional development in partnership with the American College Health Association and its members.

Student Travel Funding Opportunity

The American College Health Foundation, through the Murray DeArmond Student Activity Fund, will offer funding to partially offset hotel and travel expenses for one or more students to attend the ACHA Annual Meeting. Funding decisions will be made by the ACHF Board of Directors in conjunction with the ACHA Student/Consumers Section.

Funding will be open to student applicants from ACHA Member Institutions who have demonstrated a significant career interest in college health and who have made a positive difference on their campus by serving as a peer health educator or in a leadership position on a student health advisory board, or who have (or will have) a leadership role in the ACHA Student/Consumers Section. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate the highest level of commitment and benefit to the field and/or continuity in effective student consumer leadership. Applicants will be encouraged to apply for ACHF Student Scholarships to cover meeting registration costs. Applicants will also be responsible for any remaining travel expenses not covered by the ACHF funding opportunity and will be required to submit proof of the availability of these funds.

Post-meeting requirements for award recipients will include the following:

• Make a brief presentation to the ACHF Board during their annual business meeting at the ACHA Annual Meeting attended by the student winner.
• Provide a written evaluation of the winner’s annual meeting experience that could be published in Impact, on the ACHF webpage or in other publications.
• Become involved in a health center project on their campus following the meeting.

The Karl A. Bickel and Madira Bickel Journalistic Scholarship Fund supports journalism education by providing grants to accredited colleges and universities with journalism programs. Established from Karl A. Bickel's Last Will and Testament, the fund aims to assist deserving students in their pursuit of journalism, ensuring they receive the necessary financial backing to succeed in their studies and future careers.

The Generation Regen Challenge, presented by BMO, aims to promote regenerative agriculture in Canada and the U.S. by providing $200,000 to innovative social enterprises and non-profits. This initiative seeks to enhance local farming practices, soil health, animal welfare, and biodiversity, while ensuring food security for underserved communities. By supporting projects that restore ecosystems and sequester carbon, the challenge encourages a sustainable agricultural future. Applications are open to eligible organizations focused on impactful solutions in their communities.

The Truth Initiative Tobacco/Vape-Free College Program offers grants of up to $20,000 to U.S. colleges and universities aiming to implement 100% tobacco/vape-free policies. Additionally, grants of up to $10,000 are available for schools looking to enhance existing smoke-free policies to include e-cigarettes. This initiative seeks to engage students and create support from faculty and staff, ultimately fostering healthier campus environments.

The AMVETS Veteran, Active Duty & Guard/Reserve Scholarship provides financial assistance up to $12,000 for qualified U.S. Veterans and active military members pursuing undergraduate degrees. This scholarship is designed to bridge the financial gap after all other federal and state aid has been utilized. Eligibility includes being an honorably discharged veteran or active service member, enrolled in an accredited institution, and demonstrating financial need. AMVETS is dedicated to serving those who have served our country.

David Wiersema Memorial Scholarship

Graduating home school senior or graduating high school or early college student from one of the following high schools: Black River, Hamilton, Holland Christian, Holland High School, Saugatuck, West Ottawa, Zeeland East, or Zeeland West.

The AMVETS Spouse Scholarship offers financial support to the spouses of honorably discharged veterans and active military personnel, including National Guard and Reserves. This scholarship aims to bridge financial gaps after other federal and state resources have been exhausted. Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens enrolled in accredited undergraduate programs, demonstrate financial need, and not be in default on federal student loans. AMVETS stands committed to empowering military families through education.

The AMVETS Children/Grandchildren Scholarship supports the educational aspirations of children and grandchildren of honorably discharged U.S. veterans and active military. This scholarship aims to bridge financial gaps after all federal and state assistance has been utilized. Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens, high school seniors, and demonstrate financial need while enrolled in accredited four-year universities. Incomplete applications will be disqualified, ensuring that the award goes to deserving candidates committed to their education.

The Phoebe Apperson Hearst Awards honor excellence in family engagement by recognizing PTAs that achieve top rankings through the National PTA School of Excellence program. These awards celebrate PTAs that effectively engage families in student success and school improvement initiatives. By participating, PTAs can develop best practices, create inclusive communities, attract action-oriented members, and gain national recognition as leaders in building strong family-school partnerships.

The ARS New Investigator Research Grant aims to support innovative research in rhinology, including basic, translational, and clinical projects. The funding period is non-renewable and lasts up to 24 months. Eligible candidates include American Rhinologic Society members who have completed residency and lack significant prior funding. The number of grants awarded is contingent upon the merit of applications received, as determined by the ARS Board of Directors. This grant provides a unique opportunity for emerging researchers in the field.

The James Paul Sutton Medical Research Fund Grant supports non-profit organizations engaged in cancer and medical research, established through a trust by the Sutton family. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) exempt. Preference is given to cancer research initiatives, while grants are not available for individuals, political groups, or for-profit entities. This fund aims to sustain medical research efforts for the long term, continuing the legacy of the Sutton family.

Association of North Texas Construction Professionals (ANTCP) Scholarship

The Association of North Texas Construction Professionals (ANTCP) Scholarship was opened in 2020. The ANTCP Scholarship is for students who are engaged in, OR whose family members have been engaged in, a construction trade. It is open to current college students residing in, OR graduating seniors of high schools in, Wichita, Archer, Clay or Wilbarger counties. There are (2) $1,500 ANTCP scholarships available each year, they can be used for any field of study at a 4-year college in the US, renewable for up to 4 years with a 2.5 cumulative GPA, OR a one-time scholarship for any vocational/trade program in the U.S.

Bill Mahoney Memorial Scholarship

The Bill Mahoney Memorial Scholarship was opened in 2021 by Bill's daughter, Mandy, to honor her father's memory. Mr. Mahoney was a long-time teacher of the Arts at Hirschi High School in Wichita Falls. This one-time scholarship, ranging from $1,000 to $4,000, is for graduating seniors of WFISD attending any college, university, or vocational school and majoring in the Arts. Recipient must be a U.S. citizen.

Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area

Our Mission

The Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area seeks to ensure that our community thrives today, tomorrow, and forever by building our Community’s Endowment to support high impact charitable projects, helping donors achieve their charitable goals, and leading and partnering in community-level initiatives.

Scholarships

CFHZ awards over $1 million in scholarships each year for students to attend schools of higher education throughout the nation. Our scholarships are possible thanks to the generosity of donors who invest in our community’s future by furthering the education of others.

All Holland/Zeeland area individuals interested in post-secondary education are encouraged to apply for CFHZ scholarships.

The Foundation proudly administers over 100 scholarships, each with unique eligibility criteria that must be met before a candidate can be considered.

Global Concepts Enterprise, Inc. Founders’ Scholarship

• Graduating high school senior, graduating early college student, or currently enrolled college or vocational/technical school student
• Enrolled or enrolling at any accredited post-secondary educational institution (including vocational/technical school) within the United States
• Financial need, a consideration (encouraged to submit the page of the FAFSA Submission Summary showing the Student Aid Index amount)
• Age 25 or under
• The dependent child of a Global Concepts Enterprise, Inc. employee
• This scholarship is potentially renewable and supports one student at a time.
