The James Ledwith Memorial Scholarship Fund, established in 2011 by the Albuquerque Community Foundation, supports high school graduates from the Albuquerque Metro Area who have faced extraordinary challenges. This scholarship awards up to $2,000 to those pursuing post-secondary education while demonstrating hope, faith, and courage. Applicants must submit letters of reference and a personal essay outlining their life dreams and challenges. Lowell A. Larson Scholarship

Provides scholarships to MSHS graduating students pursuing secondary education in the trades including, but not limited to construction, welding, automotive, hvac, etc.

Distribution Process

• CFMC scholarship recipients will be contacted in June requesting student enrollment verification
• Scholarships can only be distributed once student’s information is received
• Scholarships will be distributed to the college/school/university indicated by student
• The scholarship must be used for tuition and fees required for the enrollment or attendance of the student at a qualifying educational institution; fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for courses of instruction at such an educational institution; and room and board, within the first semester of first year of students enrollment
• That year’s recipient must claim the scholarship within that fiscal year to be distributed (by 12/31/xx)

Provides financial assistance for graduating high school students who are members of the St. Joseph’s Parish and will be pursuing a degree at a four year college or university.

SSUS State STD Program 

Purpose For Which the Grant Program Funds Shall be Used 

Applicants are able to request 1) Disease Intervention Specialist (DIS) staff to conduct disease investigation and intervention activities, also known as Partner Services; AND/OR 2) request funds to provide statewide safety net coverage of STD testing for men and women under 30 years of age that do not have insurance or other means to obtain STD testing; AND/OR 3) expand existing, local health STD clinical services to increase hours of operation and persons served for STD testing and treatment; AND/OR 4) provide integration of STD and HIV Services.

Qualifications Needed By Application To be Considered For a Grant

• The provision of syphilis (and other potential emerging STD needs) field investigation and follow-up. Funding is intended to cover DIS staff salary, fringe and related DIS expenses.

• Expansion of local health STD Clinic services by adding clinical staff that will allow for expanded hours and services.

A minimum of two Principal Investigators is required, with one designated as the Initiating PI. The FY26 Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Research Program (ALSRP) Therapeutic Development Award supports innovative research aimed at advancing therapies for ALS. The FY26 DoW Pancreatic Cancer Research Program Focused Pilot Award aims to drive innovative and impactful research in pancreatic cancer, enhancing patient quality of life. This award encourages the development of preliminary data to support future clinical or real-world applications. While allowing for clinical research studies, it does not permit clinical trials or preclinical animal studies, ensuring a strong patient-centered approach in its research focus.

The FY26 Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Research Program's Pilot Clinical Trial Award aims to accelerate clinical trials that can significantly impact ALS treatment and management. Focus areas include biomarker-driven interventions and improvements in clinical care. Beatrice T. And Virgil D. Gutierrez Legacy Scholarship

The Beatrice T. Gutierrez and Virgil D. Gutierrez Legacy Scholarship was established in 2018 by the children of Beatrice and Virgil Gutierrez. Mr. and Mrs. Gutierrez devoted their lives to teaching in Taos Public Schools.

The scholarship will be available to seniors graduating from High Schools in Taos County, with a preference to those students who intend to pursue studies in mathematics, education or science (including but not limited to social, biological and environmental sciences) by attending a 4 year college or university with an overall goal of providing service to their family and/or community upon graduation. The 4 year institution award is up to $14,000, paid out across 4 years if a 3.0 GPA is maintained.

The scholarship will also be available to seniors graduating from High Schools in Taos County, with a preference to those students who intend to pursue a 2-year vocational program with an overall goal of providing service to their family and/or community upon graduation. The 2 year institution award is up to $4,000, paid out across 2 years.
