The John and Mary Alford Foundation Grant, established in 1996 by Ronald B. Alford and Barbara Alford Cantlin, aims to enhance the quality of life in Licking County through support for educational, social, religious, and cultural programs. The Licking County Foundation, a private charitable organization, manages this grant, ensuring it serves community needs while promoting philanthropic leadership. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) charities, with a focus on projects that have broad community impact.

The Needs-Based Public School Capital Fund supports North Carolina counties in addressing critical public school building needs through grants funded by the NC Education Lottery. With over $258 million available for FY2025-26, counties can apply for significant funding to construct new schools and renovate existing facilities. Eligible counties must have a market value of taxable real property under $40 billion and are required to provide local matching funds. Background

As authorized under Title I, Part C of the Every Student Succeeds Act, the Office of Continuous Improvement and Support, Division of School and Program Improvement, is issuing a Request for Application (RFA) from local educational agencies,  educational cooperatives  or public universities/colleges to develop and implement technical assistance and professional learning programs that facilitate the educational and support services needed for identified migrant children and their families. 

Purpose

As stated in Section 1301 of the Every Student Succeeds Act, the purpose of the Migrant Education Program  (MEP) is to:

• Assist States in supporting high-quality and comprehensive educational programs and services during the school year and, as applicable, during summer or intersession periods, that address the unique educational needs of migratory children;
• To ensure that migratory children who move among the States are not penalized in any manner by disparities among the States in curriculum, graduation requirements, and challenging State academic standards;
• To ensure that migratory children receive full and appropriate opportunities to meet the same challenging State academic standards that all children are expected to meet;
• To help migratory children overcome educational disruption, cultural and language barriers, social isolation, various health-related problems, and other factors that inhibit the ability of such children to succeed in school; and
• To help migratory children benefit from State and local systemic reforms.

Funding

The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) anticipates funding up to four migrant regional center programs at up to $325,000 per year per regional center. KDE reserves the right to negotiate annually the amount based on the regional center's sub-contracts with LEAs and any identified unanticipated needs within the region.  The funds generated by the LEA will be included in the negotiation for the regional center.

Upon expiration of the initial term, at KDE's discretion, the contract may be renewed for up to 2 additional 1-year periods if it is in the best interest of the Kentucky Migrant Education Program and its eligible students to do so.

The Education & Youth Development Community Grant Cycle offers essential support for organizations serving Lorain County. This grant is open to tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations that demonstrate accountability and sustainability. Applicants are encouraged to propose innovative programs that address community needs and foster partnerships. Notably, lower priority is given to capital requests and duplication of services, ensuring that funding focuses on unique and impactful initiatives.

The Grand Victoria Riverboat Fund Program, established by Kane County, supports projects that enhance education, environmental initiatives, and economic development within the community. Eligible applicants include non-profit organizations and local government units. The program prioritizes projects that promote collaboration, practicality, and long-term solutions for community challenges. Notably, funds cannot be used for operating expenses or projects outside Kane County. Favorable consideration is given to initiatives that have broad impact and are designed for replication.

The Marvin ∙ Wilson Community Impact Grant, offered by the Freeport Community Foundation, aims to empower local non-profits in northwest Illinois to address community needs through innovative and collaborative initiatives. Grants are available for projects that focus on civil betterment, health services, educational reform, and the advancement of arts and literature. The foundation prioritizes organizations that demonstrate effective management and vision, fostering partnerships to enhance community resilience.

The Hulsebosch Hope Foundation Grant supports mid-sized, growth-oriented 501(c)(3) public charities in Chicago. Focused on enhancing life in under-resourced communities, the grant offers $10,000 to $20,000 annually. Eligible organizations must have a budget between $150,000 and $5 million and demonstrate a commitment to impactful programs, particularly in health, education, and economic growth. This initiative aims to improve opportunities for underserved populations on the city's south and west sides.

The Collier Community Foundation offers General Operating Support Grants to nonprofits addressing community needs in areas such as arts, education, healthcare, and human services. The Cordova Community Foundation Competitive Grant offers funding up to $3,000 for qualified 501(c)(3) organizations and similar entities supporting charitable initiatives in the Cordova area. Ineligible applicants include individuals and for-profit organizations. The Alaska Community Foundation oversees this initiative, enhancing community support through accessible funding.

The Somerset Community Foundation provides competitive grants to nonprofit programs and organizations that enhance life in Somerset. Eligible applicants include public charities, local government divisions, and schools. However, grants are not awarded for lobbying, individual support, or national fund drives. Only one grant per organization is permitted annually, ensuring broad community support.
