• El Pomar provides grants for general operating support, programs, and capital needs.
• The Trustees are interested in increasing support in Southern and rural Colorado. While they make grants in metro Denver, they are much more competitive in that region.
• Due to the tremendous need throughout the state of Colorado, requests, if funded, are often funded at lesser levels than requested. Generally speaking, the Trustees prefer to go broad rather than deep and therefore tend to make a lot of smaller grants rather than a few larger ones.
• For programs and capital needs, we recommend having about half the needed funds secured before submitting an application.

Bill and Kathy Hybl Fund

Mission: The Hybl Fund supports Olympic, Paralympic, and youth sports.

History: Bill Hybl, a lifetime public servant, has long been dedicated to amateur sport. Currently chairman of the United States Olympic Endowment, he believes the ideals of excellence, fair play, and hard work through sport are important for athletes as well as children.

If funded, applicants must wait two years (24 months) to be considered again. If declined, applicants must wait one year (12 months) to be considered again.

The Community Possible Grant Program by U.S. Bank aims to foster economic and workforce advancement, as well as safe and affordable housing. By partnering with 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, the program seeks to drive lasting change within communities through collaborative grantmaking. Priority is given to organizations that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and that address multiple pillars of work, home, and play. The Blue Foundation Inc

The Blue Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization founded to champion, fund and celebrate local nonprofit causes that keep our community and people strong, financially stable and healthy. The Blue Foundation also helps make tax-deductible charitable giving easy for you.

Additionally, Blue Federal Credit Union matches all new member donations up to 80%. Since its inception, The Blue Foundation has given over $350,000 back to our communities.

The Blue Foundation Sponsorship

Donations and sponsorships are available at any time through Blue Federal Credit Union, and will be discussed at a monthly meeting. Though we strive to help everyone, not all donation requests will be fulfilled. We work hard to provide follow-up to all requesting parties regardless of fulfillment decision.

Both our sponsorships and grants focus on supporting non-profits who impact financial health and wellness.

Friends of NRA

Friends of NRA is the National Rifle Association’s premier fundraising program, supporting the future of shooting sports. Since day one, Friends of NRA has been a 100% grassroots effort fueled by a united front to secure the Second Amendment and raise money for the shooting sports.

Committee volunteers are appointed to State Fund Committees to make recommendations for local grant funding in areas such as youth education, women-focused clinics, law enforcement training, hunter safety, range improvement, firearms and marksmanship training and safety. Recognizing the impact American youth has on the future of the shooting sports, State Fund Committees frequently recommend grants for youth programs, allocating the most significant portion of monies to this vital area.

Grant awards fund activities and support programs in the United States to promote firearms and hunting safety, to enhance marksmanship skills of those in the shooting sports, and to educate the public about firearms in their historic, technological and artistic context.

Friends of NRA State Fund Grant Program - Colorado

The Friends of NRA State Fund Grant Program provides supplies, equipment, and financial support to a variety of qualified groups and programs at the local level; geared towards youth, women, law enforcement, veterans, the disabled, and the general public, including:

• General shooting programs
• Competitive shooting
• Education, training and safety
• Hunting and conservation
• Community outreach
• Historical education

Grant funding must be used to further a charitable purpose as defined by the Internal Revenue Code under section 501(c)(3) and accompanying rules, regulations, and other IRS law and materials.

The NRA Foundation offers grants in Colorado to support charitable purposes related to firearms and shooting sports.
