The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Legacy Funds offer grants to support youth sports initiatives in Western New York, focusing on increasing children's participation in sports. About Dale "Haynes" and Elaine Woolcott Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is for a college-bound student who is a legal resident of Henderson County, North Carolina or Van Buren County, Michigan. The applicant must demonstrate financial need and have a record of community service. Preference will be given to graduates of a Henderson County high school or a graduate of Hartford Public Schools. 

This is a renewable scholarship.

The Women's Fund Grants by the Community Foundation of Greater Rochester aim to enhance the lives of women through support for innovative projects. Established in 2000, the fund responds to emerging community needs by providing grants to local nonprofit organizations. It encourages applications from eligible groups addressing cultural, educational, and developmental issues while promoting philanthropic efforts. Grant requests are welcome year-round, fostering collaboration between donors and community initiatives.

About Denis Barton ScholarshipApplicant must be a resident of either Transylvania or Henderson County who has graduated from a public, private, parochial or home school program who wishes to pursue an undergraduate degree at a degree granting college or university and who demonstrates the need for financial assistance in order to attend an institution of higher learning. The applicant should have a cumulative GPA equivalent to a "C average" upon graduation. Preference will be given to students from Transylvania County. Financial need will be more strongly considered than grades. An adult student will be considered for this scholarship if he or she can demonstrate reason as to why he or she did not pursue his or her college education immediately after high school. Such reasons would include but are not limited to military service, medical reasons, family obligations, and/or mission work. The recipient must be awarded the scholarship prior to the age of 30.This is a renewable scholarship.

About Dirk and Paige Willms Scholarship

This scholarship is to provide financial assistance for students seeking a higher education leading to a degree, certification or licensure at an accredited institution approved by the Foundation. Student must be a child or stepchild of a current employee in good standing who works as operations personnel with one of the following agencies: All municipal police departments located in Henderson County, Henderson County Sheriff’s Department, Hendersonville Fire Department, all Henderson County Volunteer Fire Departments, and the Henderson County Rescue Squad. Students may live within or outside of Henderson County, NC; meet all academic requirements of the attending institution; and be a United States citizen.

Allegacy Federal Credit Union Scholarship Fund

If you’re an Allegacy member pursuing an undergraduate degree, the Allegacy Scholarship Program may be able to provide financial assistance to help you reach your educational goals. Allegacy is proud to partner with the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation to administer awards up to $10,000 per year to deserving students.

The Office of Elementary and Secondary Education (OESE) is offering the Project SAFE Grant Program to enhance student safety and well-being. The program aims to assist local educational agencies (LEAs) in implementing strategies to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, in accordance with CDC guidelines. This initiative is particularly focused on supporting LEAs that face financial penalties from state educational agencies for adopting these necessary health measures, ensuring a safer learning environment.

The Arts Learning in Schools and In Community grant by New Mexico Arts supports arts education for K-12 students in both school and community settings. It invites applications from charter schools, 501(c)(3) private schools, and organizations. This initiative emphasizes creative arts activities, integration into other subjects, and professional development for educators. Eligible organizations can renew applications for subsequent funding cycles, ensuring continued support for impactful arts programs.

Betty Taylor Memorial Award

The Betty Taylor Memorial Award is designed to award funds to support advancement in the applicants career as an emerging artist in the field of visual arts and crafts through education, advanced projects, marketing and/or other related pursuits. The relationship of the project to the career advancement of the applicant must be clearly defined in the “Narrative” section of the application. Conducting deeper study is a key element to the Taylor Award, and the applicant will need to elaborate on study method, mentoring, apprenticeships, etc.

To promote emerging artists who are in need of financial support for continued education in the field of visual arts and crafts.

The Betty Taylor Memorial Award is funded by The Ellen (Betty) Taylor Memorial Fund at Community Foundation of Henderson County (CFHC) and administrated in partnership with the Arts Council of Henderson County. 

The CMCF Education Endowment Grant Program aims to enhance educational opportunities for students in the Central Montcalm area. Funded by the Central Montcalm Community Foundation, this program provides grants and scholarships for student enrichment initiatives, promoting learning and self-esteem. The foundation ensures that the annual earnings from endowed funds support long-term community needs while maintaining the principal for future generations. Teachers and administrators are encouraged to apply for these grants to foster educational growth.

2027 Website and Technology Grant

Overview

This grant is made possible by KDLA’s funding from the Grants to States program administered by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). Projects must support the information needs of all Kentuckians by providing access to resources as identified in the 2023-2027 LSTA 5-Year Plan. 

Goals

To support initiatives to update library websites to meet the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards and offer current technology. All project activities and funds must be spent by August 31, 2027.

The CMCF: Steve Strait Educational Fund for Innovative Teaching Practices Endowment aims to enhance educational experiences for teachers in Central Montcalm Public Schools. This fund supports innovative projects and programs that improve teaching methods and positively impact student learning outcomes. By leveraging annual earnings from permanent endowments, the Central Montcalm Community Foundation ensures sustainable funding for educational initiatives, fostering long-term benefits for the community.

The Miller Trust Grants, managed by EveryCat Health Foundation, support innovative feline health research. With a focus on projects that enhance knowledge of feline diseases and treatments, the grants offer up to $50,000 for 1-2 year projects. Eligible applicants include principal investigators from specific partner institutions. EveryCat has a rich history of funding over $11 million in research, promoting the health and well-being of cats globally. Proposals are welcomed in Spring and Fall grant cycles.

New Mexico Arts offers the Traditional Folk Arts Projects Grants to support entities that showcase and preserve folk and traditional arts in New Mexico. This funding is particularly aimed at organizations, local governments, and universities that promote arts reflecting the cultural heritage of the community. With a shift to a two-year funding cycle starting in FY2026, successful applicants can submit a shorter renewal application for FY2027, ensuring continuity in supporting these vital cultural expressions.

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) invites proposals for the Impaired Driving Mini Grants: Non-Enforcement, aimed at reducing impaired driving in local communities. These grants are designed for impactful, data-driven projects that align with the Montana Comprehensive Highway Safety Plan. Funding requests can be up to $5,000, and projects must show local collaboration. MDT encourages initiatives tied to existing DUI Task Force and County Prevention Plans, ensuring a lasting positive effect on community safety.

The Montana Department of Transportation offers Occupant Protection Mini-Grants to support local initiatives aimed at increasing the use of seat belts and child car seats. These grants, up to $5,000, are designed for projects that are data-driven and foster local collaboration. They must align with the Montana Comprehensive Highway Safety Plan. The program emphasizes the importance of occupant protection to reduce fatalities and injuries on Montana roads.

The Society of American Archivists Foundation Catalyst Grant provides funding ranging from $500 to $5,000 to support complex archival projects that advance the strategic goals of the SAA. This program prioritizes projects that foster best practices, such as processing and digitization of archives, and is open to non-profit archival repositories and individual archivists affiliated with member organizations. It aims to benefit the archival profession as a whole.

About Hans and Margo Nagel Scholarship

This scholarship provides assistance with education expenses for a citizen and resident of Henderson County who graduates from a high school in Henderson County. This scholarship is for someone who is doing things to prevent and break the cycle of desperate need and is to act as an incentive for the recipient to do something, primarily in using education, to pull his or her life together and make a better life for himself or herself and the next generation.

The JAMS Foundation-ACR Initiative for Students and Youth RFP aims to support conflict resolution education and training for Pre-K to 12th grade students and adults working with them. This initiative encourages peaceful interactions through conflict resolution strategies, addressing cultural understanding and systemic policy changes in educational settings. Funding is available for programs that enhance these skills in various community contexts, ensuring effective transfer of conflict resolution skills from adults to youth.

About Helen F. Lindner Scholarship

The applicant must be male graduating senior from any high school located within the boundary of Henderson County. The successful male applicant will be a student who may not have excelled academically but who has shown promise academically and who indicates a willing spirit to work. The applicant should be someone who has shown diligence above average but who may not have academically achieved above average.

Henderson County Educational Scholarship

This scholarship is to provide financial assistance to graduates of any Henderson County public high school.

This is a renewable scholarship. 

The Folklife Artist Grant from the Nevada Arts Council supports traditional arts projects led by folk artists and culture bearers. Projects should focus on the transmission of folk arts within specific Nevada communities, covering learning and presentation activities. Applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria, including federal tax-exempt status and good standing with the Nevada Secretary of State. Grants are awarded based on eligibility and funding availability, emphasizing artistic merit and community representation.

The Community Emergency Response Fund, managed by the Community Foundation of Teton Valley, provides financial assistance to community members affected by emergencies. This fund is part of the Foundation's Opportunity Fund, which aims to elevate lives through generosity and support for the nonprofit sector. Residents in need are encouraged to reach out for assistance to navigate these challenging times.

The Rewarding Responders Grant, offered by the We Energies Foundation, supports local public safety agencies with funding up to $2,000 per project. Eligible projects include equipment purchases and professional training that enhance safety initiatives within the communities served by the foundation. Grants must be utilized within two years, and projects should be special, one-time efforts. This initiative emphasizes the importance of safety and well-planned public safety responses.

The NIOSH Support for Conferences and Scientific Meetings (R13) program aims to fund high-quality scientific gatherings that enhance occupational safety and health research. It supports meetings that align with NIOSH's mission and priorities, encouraging the exchange of information on relevant topics. Applications should focus on advancing research in these areas, fostering collaboration among professionals. Note that training-only events are not eligible for funding under this program.
