Ripley County Community Foundation

The Ripley County Community Foundation was established in 1997 with $19,000 by a group of local citizens who had the vision to leave a lasting legacy for future generations.

Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship

The Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program will provide one scholarship for otherwise reimbursed full tuition, required fees, and a special allocation of up to $900.00 per year for required books and equipment for four years of undergraduate study on a full-time basis. The undergraduate study will lead to a baccalaureate degree at any Indiana public or private nonprofit college or university accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Phase II: Timed Essay

Phase II of the selection process consists of a timed essay portion, which will be administered directly at your high school.

The Facilities for Atmospheric Research and Education (FARE) Program, managed by the National Science Foundation (NSF), supports advanced research in atmospheric sciences through specialized facilities like the Lower Atmosphere Observing Facilities (LAOF) and Community Instruments and Facilities (CIF). The Richard W. Cuniff Study Abroad Award, offered by Montana State University, provides financial support to students pursuing degrees at the Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship. Eligible applicants must be Montana high school graduates with a minimum 2.5 GPA and accepted into a study abroad program. The Onyx & Breezy Foundation Grant provides financial support to animal welfare organizations in need. By leveraging funds from generous donors, the foundation aims to help various initiatives, including medical treatment, spay and neuter services, and providing pet food. Eligible applicants must demonstrate non-profit status, while capital improvements and previously covered medical care are excluded from funding. The Preservation Alliance of West Virginia's Saving Historic Places Grant Program aims to fund the renovation and preservation of historic school buildings in rural communities facing economic challenges. With $665,000 available for grants ranging from $50,000 to $300,000, the program seeks to combat blight and encourage community engagement in preserving significant local landmarks. The application period closes on March 1, 2024, with awards expected by May 2024, promoting sustainable development and investment.

The Sports 4 Life Grants, co-founded by the Women’s Sports Foundation and ESPN, aim to promote the health and development of girls in underserved communities. This initiative focuses on increasing participation and retention rates of Black, Hispanic, and Native American girls in sports through funding for coaching, equipment, and facilities. By fostering leadership and self-esteem, the program seeks to empower young girls and provide them with lifelong benefits from sports participation.

This scholarship is for a graduating high school senior attending an accredited school full-time, located in WI or MN pursuing an undergraduate degree. Preference goes to a student who shows a passion for visual arts, like painting, drawing, photography, etc. Student shows academic merit, character, and motivation.

The AAPD Foundation provides Access to Care Grants aimed at ensuring dental care is accessible for all children. As the largest dentist-led charity, it supports community programs that deliver essential dental services. With a focus on innovative ideas and effective grant utilization, the foundation works tirelessly to promote healthy smiles for every child. By partnering with pediatric dentists, it strives to make a meaningful impact in communities nationwide.

The Women’s Fund of the Eastern Shore empowers local women and girls through collective philanthropy, addressing crucial needs such as job readiness and crisis support. Each spring, they provide grants up to $5,000 to nonprofit organizations and programs that demonstrate measurable benefits to this population in Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset Counties. This initiative aims to foster self-sufficiency and positive change within the community.

Background

The Florida Department of State, Division of Library and Information Services is the state library administrative agency officially designated to receive and administer federal grant funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

The Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) is the major federal grant program for libraries. The LSTA program, administered by the Institute of Museum and Library Services:

• Is a state-based program.
• Has purposes which focus on information access through technology and information empowerment through special services.
• Emphasizes public libraries but encourages interlibrary cooperation and partnerships among all types of libraries.
• Increases emphasis on accountability and evaluation.

International Studies Scholarship

This scholarship is for students attaining any post-secondary degree. Student must have taken a world language for 3 years (high school applicants) or 3 semesters (college applicants). Preference to students majoring in International Studies, Cultural Studies, or any World Language. This scholarship can be renewed for up to 3 years if the applicant still meets the criteria.

This scholarship is for a graduating senior from Marshfield or Columbus High school OR a nontraditional student living in Marshfield. Student must be attending an accredited college pursuing an undergraduate degree.

Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program

The Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship for Madison County is administered by the Madison County Community Foundation.

Madison County's Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship is awarded to two students, who will be provided eight semesters of full tuition, required fees, and a special allocation of $900 per year for required books and required equipment for four years of undergraduate study on a full time basis, leading to a baccalaureate degree at any Indiana public or private college or university accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

In our selection process, applications will be reviewed by a committee of community members. Reviews are completed anonymously without disclosure of student or parent identity. Each Lilly finalist who is not selected as a recipient will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Madison County Community Foundation.

The primary purposes of the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program are:

to help raise the level of educational attainment in Indiana;

to increase awareness of the beneficial roles Indiana community foundations can play in their communities; and

to encourage and support the efforts of current and past Lilly Endowment Community Scholars to engage with each other and with Indiana business, governmental, educational, nonprofit and civic leaders to improve the quality of life in Indiana generally and in local communities throughout the state.

Dr. Charles H. Glatfelter Scholarship Application

For any descendant of Casper Glattfelder who was the first of his family to arrive in the United States in 1743. Students are not required to be residents of Adams County, Pennsylvania. This award is open to all descendants nation wide.

The Colorado Wildlife Rehabilitation Grants program, offered by Colorado Parks and Wildlife, supports wildlife rehabilitation efforts across the state. The program prioritizes licensed wildlife rehabilitators and considers factors like species rehabilitated, project feasibility, and cost-effectiveness.
