Coral Gables Community Foundation

Led by community leaders, the Coral Gables Community Foundation provides the philanthropic conduit to connect individuals and corporations looking to positively impact the success of the community. Now in its 33rd year, the Foundation has been at the forefront of the evolving needs of Coral Gables while effectively bringing together beneficiaries and benefactors to fund programs with the greatest impact and benefit to “The City Beautiful.”

Coral Gables Community Foundation’s Scholarships Program

Coral Gables Community Foundation is honored to partner with our fundholders to administer generous scholarships as well as manage the Foundation’s own scholarship funds.

The Foundation and its fundholders have proudly awarded over $6.7 million in scholarships in just the last decade.

The Raymond Bravo Scholarship

The Raymond Bravo Foundation, established at the Coral Gables Community Foundation in 2025, honors the memory and generous spirit of Raymond Bravo, a proud Miami High alumnus and successful lawyer.

The Fund is dedicated to extending a helping hand to needful students from any high school in Miami Dade County Public Schools.

Rooted in Raymond’s belief that success requires hard work, natural ability, and help from others, the Fund seeks to ensure that financial difficulty does not prevent students from achieving their educational goals and professional dreams. Through scholarship awards, The Raymond Bravo Fund provides tuition support, empowering students to pursue higher education and realize their fullest potential.

Generally the Community Foundation's scholarships are awarded to applicants who have high financial need. Applicants with household income exceeding $100,000 are less likely to be awarded, but applying will allow you to be considered for targeted scholarships.

Reach for Your Goal Scholarship

Open to students who are Kent County residents attending college in the state of Michigan and with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

The Moebus FCS Student Teaching Scholarship supports students at Montana State University pursuing a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Eligible applicants must be seniors with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. This scholarship is awarded during the semester when the recipient is engaged in student teaching, promoting educational excellence and professional development in the field of Family and Consumer Sciences.

Generally the Community Foundation's scholarships are awarded to applicants who have high financial need. Applicants with household income exceeding $100,000 are less likely to be awarded, but applying will allow you to be considered for targeted scholarships.

Robert L. & Hilda Treasure Mitchell Scholarship

Open to students who are residents of Kent County.

Rosemary Cook Education Scholarship

Open to high school seniors graduating from a Grand Rapids Public Schools high school attending college in the state of Michigan full time, majoring in education and with a minimum 2.75 GPA.

The Beckman Center Fellowships at the Science History Institute offer distinguished scholars a unique opportunity to conduct research on the history of chemical and molecular science. These four-month fellowships, which come with a stipend of $20,000, require residents to engage with the institute's collections and contribute to the scholarly community through lectures and mentorship. Open to senior academics and independent scholars, this program fosters collaboration within a vibrant research environment.

The Peyton Anderson Foundation Grant focuses on enhancing healthcare in Central Georgia, specifically Macon-Bibb County. The foundation prioritizes projects that improve health access and outcomes, support infrastructure development, and promote sustainability. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) compliant and demonstrate measurable, lasting results. Collaboration with other nonprofits is encouraged. The foundation's aim is to ensure quality healthcare access locally, reflecting Mr. Anderson's commitment to reinvesting in the community.

J.M. Rubin Foundation

The J.M. Rubin Foundation's current focus is to provide scholarships to residents of Palm Beach County at any recognized educational institution. At the discretion of the Board, we provide charitable support to some organizations. However, we strive to limit this giving to local institutions or to the benefit of our local community.

Scholarship Overview

The J.M. Rubin Foundation, Inc. is a Florida not-for-profit charitable corporation established in 1973. It has been approved by the Internal Revenue Service to make individual scholarship grants to recipients who must be bona fide residents of Palm Beach County, Florida.

In addition, all applicants must be U.S. citizens. The scholarship recipients need not attend any particular school, so long as the recipient is a candidate for certification or a degree. The recipients will be selected on the basis of academic and/or athletic achievement or promise as the basic criterion. Financial need is an additional factor, however, it is not required. The recipients will be selected from applicants on an objective and nondiscriminatory basis, including personal interviews if deemed necessary.

Sherman L. & Mabel C. Lepard Scholarship

Open to students who are residents of Kent County. Preference to Challenge Scholar students through 2032.

Nebraska Community Foundation

Nebraska Community Foundation was established in 1994 by a group of visionaries determined to empower communities throughout the state to grow and prosper. They believed that with the right tools and resources, people could build the hometowns of their dreams.

Through philanthropy, our team helps communities develop strong local economies, high quality of life, and abundant leadership and volunteer opportunities. We empower local leaders to identify community assets, invest in their own resources, and bring about their own positive change. 

BCAFF Scholarships

The Butler County Area Foundation Fund is offering three scholarships to graduating seniors who meet individual scholarship criteria. These scholarships are the Butler County Clinic Scholarship (medical field major); Charles O. & Grace M. Stoops Scholarship in Agricultural or Environmental Studies; and Butler County Area Foundation Fund Scholarship.

Butler County Area Foundation Fund Scholarship

• Two $500 scholarships are available annually to graduating residents of Butler County.

• Applicants must be entering his or her first semester of post-secondary education at an accredited school of higher education, or an applicant may be a current year graduate or an earlier graduate resident of Butler County who may have delayed entrance into post-secondary education at an accredited school of higher education.

The Hambly Women in Engineering Scholarship at Montana State University supports women pursuing a degree in engineering, except for the Gianforte School of Computing. This scholarship emphasizes the importance of financial need and aims to empower female students in a predominantly male field. Since its inception, MSU has been committed to providing transformative educational opportunities. This scholarship is part of the university's broader initiative to support women in engineering and promote diversity within the field.

The Hambly Women in Sciences Scholarship at Montana State University supports female students pursuing degrees in STEM fields such as Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Ecology, Mathematical Sciences, and Physics. It aims to promote diversity in the sciences by providing financial assistance to those demonstrating need. This scholarship is part of MSU's broader commitment to accessible education, fostering a new generation of women scientists dedicated to impactful research and community transformation.

Beckley Area Foundation

Beckley Area Foundation was established in January 1985 by ten community-minded citizens. It began with a gift of $1.1 million from the Dr. Thomas Walker Memorial Health Foundation as “seed” money for this Raleigh County project. BAF assets have grown to over $70 million with over 500 different funds managed by our three trustee banks. Today, Beckley Area Foundation is one of West Virginia’s largest community foundations.

Since its inception, BAF has distributed over $23 million to charities and other worthy projects in the fields of education, public recreation, health & human services, the arts, animal services and beautification.

Scholarships

The Beckley Area Foundation proudly manages scholarship funds established by individuals, businesses, and organizations dedicated to helping students pursue higher education. Many of these scholarships are tailored for specific schools, fields of study, or graduates from local high schools, while others offer broader opportunities. No matter the path, our scholarships aim to support students from our region as they work toward achieving their educational goals.

Most of these scholarships must be awarded to students from our geographic area or at least preference given to such students. While the majority of scholarships benefit Raleigh County applicants there are others designated for Fayette, Summers, Webster, and Wyoming students. 

Mark Weston Smith Scholarship

For Raleigh County high school graduate; college-qualified and based on financial need.

This scholarship is renewable.

The Harold and Reta Haynes Endowment for Student Mentoring at Montana State University supports students pursuing a minor in Entrepreneurship and Small Business. Established to enhance educational opportunities, this endowment reflects MSU's commitment to fostering personal and professional growth through mentorship. With limited scholarships available for incoming students, it aims to empower individuals to transform their lives and communities through higher education.

Eagles Soar Scholarship Fund

Tribute:

The scholarship was established by the Golden Eagle Club, Inc. in 2021. It is comprised of graduates of Hokes Bluff High School that have been out of school for 50 plus years. The award is made possible by donations and proceeds of a wind turbine in Texas via 1951 Hokes Bluff graduate, Mr. Don Street.

Award:

The scholarship benefits individuals pursuing a certificate, associate's degree, bachelor’s degree, or a State of Alabama-approved workforce training program. This one-time award is for either part-time or full-time enrolled students to attend any accredited institution of higher learning in the United States.

The Community Foundation will project and allocate the assets available for scholarship awards depending on the Fund's annual income. This Scholarship is strictly funded based on available assets. The award is renewable and may include tuition, institutional housing, books, and fees. Due to the renewable nature of the Fund, it may not be available on an annual basis. 

The Harold C. and S. Margaret Rose Memorial Scholarship at Montana State University supports second-year students pursuing a degree in Environmental Design. Awarded based on excellence in design through a competitive process, the scholarship recognizes outstanding talent as judged by faculty. This opportunity not only aids in funding education but also encourages creativity and innovation in architectural practices, fostering a new generation of skilled designers.

Dunaway Scholarship

The Dunaway Scholarship was established in 2004 by Samuel M. Dunaway to provide educational grants to graduating seniors from any high school located in Breckinridge, Butler, Edmonson, Grayson, Hancock, and Ohio Counties in Kentucky. The scholarship is based on financial need and recipients will be selected on their determination and ability to successfully complete the degree and/or education program to which they are enrolled.

The Harold T. Mellang Memorial Scholarship at Montana State University supports students pursuing their degrees, prioritizing U.S. Armed Forces Veterans and their spouses. Eligible candidates include those personally deployed or whose spouses served in Iraq and Afghanistan. This scholarship reflects MSU's commitment to education and community transformation, offering vital financial assistance to those who have served our country, thereby enhancing their educational journey and future opportunities.

The Harriette E. Cushman Scholarship, offered by Montana State University, supports students pursuing degrees in various fields, including Agriculture, Nursing, and Graphic Design. To qualify, applicants must be full-time students, juniors or above, and members of a federally recognized tribe in Montana or the Arapaho Tribe. This scholarship aims to provide essential financial support, promoting education and community development in Montana.

The Harrington's Pepsi Hospitality Management Program Scholarship at Montana State University supports students pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management. Established as part of MSU's commitment to transformative education, this scholarship is available to Montana high school graduates, providing essential financial support for their academic journey. With a focus on health and human development, the program embodies MSU's dedication to fostering excellence in the hospitality industry and enhancing community engagement.

The Harry Cockrum Memorial Scholarship at Montana State University supports students pursuing a degree from the College of Agriculture. This scholarship honors Harry Cockrum's legacy and aims to provide financial assistance to Montana high school graduates. The Harvey A. Larson School of Business Scholarship at Montana State University supports students pursuing a degree in business and entrepreneurship. To qualify, applicants must be full-time students and have junior status or above. This scholarship is part of a broader initiative to provide financial assistance to incoming students, helping to transform lives through education. The Hayden Ferguson Ag Communications Scholarship at Montana State University supports students pursuing degrees in agriculture with a focus on communications and broadcasting. Established to enhance educational opportunities, this scholarship is available to sophomores, juniors, and seniors who demonstrate a commitment to the field. Dr. Lynn Wagner Scholarship

Dr. Lynn Koch Wagner's passion was history and teaching history. She was a Louisville native and Southern High School graduate, who went on to earn multiple degrees in history at Morehead State College and her Doctorate of Education at the University of Louisville. Dr. Wagner taught for more than thirty years at the University of Louisville, Bellarmine University, and Jefferson Community College. Her sister and brother-in-law, Elise and Dann Stevens, along with Dr. Wagner's brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews, are creating this scholarship to honor her lifetime commitment to education and in the hopes of assisting other promising students in Jefferson County, Kentucky. Specifically, this scholarship is designed to provide scholarship assistance in the form of grants to help defray college or university expenses of students pursuing a college education.

The Beckman Center Fellowships at the Science History Institute offer short-term fellowships (1-4 months) for scholars to engage in independent research utilizing the Institute's collections. Open to researchers of all backgrounds, these fellowships provide a monthly stipend of $3,500 to cover travel and living expenses in Philadelphia. Fellows are encouraged to participate in the Institute's vibrant community through lectures and writing groups, enhancing both their research and collaborative efforts.
