About Friends of Carl Sandburg Miles Sollom Scholarship Fund
The purpose of the Fund is to provide financial support to a student who is a Henderson County resident seeking a college or university level degree at an accredited education institution within the fields of Conservation, Animal Science, or Parks and Recreation. Student is not intended to be at the top or his or her class academically or financially.

Phyllis Toby Genszler Memorial Scholarship
The Phyllis Toby Genszler Memorial Scholarship Fund was established at The Pittsburgh Foundation in memory/honor of Phyllis Toby Genszler. Phyllis was a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and spent her 40-year professional career working in various computer-related roles at PPG until she retired. She was passionate about helping others along their life journey which is why her husband Jack Philips established this scholarship to honor her legacy and provide awards to students who may not be at the top of their class but still show great potential.
Award Type: Multi-year award for up to two years. Recipients may be enrolled full time or part time.

The applicant must be a graduating senior or a graduate of a public high school in Henderson County. This scholarship is not based on merit (however, must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 or better), but on financial need. This scholarship is for a graduate of a high school in Henderson County and shall be awarded based on academic standing and financial need. The recipient need not be at the top of his or her class academically nor at the bottom of his or her class financially.

About Grace B. Etheredge Scholarship for BRCC Students
To support a (Blue Ridge Community College) BRCC student who is planning to attend a four-year college or university. The scholarship recipient should be a student who plans to attend and has been accepted to attend a four-year college. The student should demonstrate scholastic ability (to include a student gifted in the arts), financial need, character, leadership ability, participation in extracurricular activities and demonstrated ability to complete a college education (in order for the scholarship to be renewed, the student must maintain a GPA of 3.0). Other things being equal, preference should be given to scholastic ability.
This scholarship is renewable for 2 years only.

The Heather Clair Miller Salisbury State University Fund scholarship was created at The Pittsburgh Foundation to provide four-year, renewable scholarships to at least two students who have faced social, economic, or educational barriers due to systemic gender inequity, who are attending Salisbury University, and who meet minimum entrance requirements.

Pediatric Fellow Research Projects RFA
The Department of Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine is pleased to announce the availability of grants to support research projects conducted by pediatric clinical fellows in accredited fellowship programs within the sections of the Department of Pediatrics.
Fellow research projects can request funding up to $10,000. Research projects must be feasibly completed within the fellowship period. It is anticipated that five to seven awards will be made.
