This project aims to assess the community and habitat suitability of juvenile sportfish in Florida Bay, a crucial area for both ecological balance and recreational fishing. It builds on prior monitoring efforts under the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan, focusing particularly on spotted seatrout, a key species that indicates ecosystem health. The outcomes will enhance understanding of habitat needs and contribute to the management of South Florida's vital fishery resources.

In reviewing grant proposals, the review team will look for evidence of the following:

• Proposals should avoid duplication of efforts.
• Proposals should have clearly-stated goals and measurable outcomes.
• Proposals should exhibit evidence of appropriate partnerships. Foundation prefers letters of support from involved agencies, organizations, and individuals clearly outlining both support and contributions to the success of the project.
• Proposals may include a cash match.
• The Foundation prefers evidence of one or more ways to continue the project beyond Foundation funding.

The Diane and Bruce Halle Foundation aims to enhance educational opportunities and outcomes for individuals and communities in Arizona. They focus on funding initiatives that increase access to quality education, especially for low-income students. The foundation prioritizes innovative programs that promote student achievement, college access, and leadership development. Eligible organizations must have 501(c)(3) status, a minimum annual budget, and demonstrate strong management and community engagement.

The Eastern Bank Foundation provides Impact Grants aimed at enhancing Economic Inclusion and Mobility for Low to Moderate Income (LMI) individuals and families. With a focus on advancing equity in small businesses, enriching early childhood development, ensuring affordable housing, and promoting workforce development, the foundation invested over $16 million in local organizations last year. Grants typically range from $50,000 to $100,000, supporting critical community needs across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.

Solar Moonshot Program Grant

The Solar Moonshot Program is helping nonprofit organizations across the United States afford the switch to clean energy.

Grants up to $25,000 are typically awarded, with grant amounts dependent on various factors, including the organization’s need for funding. 

In addition to grants given through the program, we also offer short-term, low-interest recoverable grants to help cover the project costs offset by the Investment Tax Credit.

Grants for 2026 are made possible by the BQuest Foundation and two anonymous donors, and the program is managed by Hammond Climate Solutions Foundation. Learn more about the program's status and participants below! 

The Tobacco Valley Community Foundation (TVCF) offers grants to support local organizations in the Tobacco Valley region, including West Kootenai, Eureka, Rexford, Trego, Fortine, and Stryker. Their mission is to enhance community resources, promote equality, and ensure that residents can actively participate in shaping their futures. By investing in arts, culture, and essential services, TVCF aims to preserve the unique qualities of the area for generations to come.

The Karl H. and Wealtha H. Nelson Family Foundation Grant aims to support charitable organizations in Nebraska City, focusing on health care, historical preservation, education, fine arts, and community development. Established by the Nelson family, the foundation prioritizes projects that enhance the local community's well-being and cultural heritage. The board seeks to fund both established organizations and new initiatives that demonstrate a clear commitment to their goals and community relevance.

The Philadelphia DAO Forfeiture Fund aims to utilize forfeited funds to support community organizations addressing food insecurity, housing instability, and anti-crime initiatives. This fund prioritizes grassroots groups with smaller budgets that help Philadelphians avoid crime and poverty. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits based in Philadelphia and have a proven track record of relevant programming. Grants cannot be used for capital projects, and preference is given to programs supporting food access and housing resources.

The San Marcos Community Foundation offers Regular Grants ranging from $1,500 to $10,000 to nonprofit organizations benefiting the residents of San Marcos. Established in 1987, the Foundation aims to enhance community quality of life through diverse programs in arts, health, education, and more. Eligible organizations must meet specific requirements, including tax-exempt status. The Foundation prioritizes applications with matching funds at its discretion, fostering a collaborative approach to community enrichment.

The Foothills and Prairie Grant Program, offered by the Aiken Audubon Society, supports projects focused on the conservation and study of birds in the Pikes Peak region. Grants of up to $6,500 are available for educational and scientific initiatives. Past funded projects include bird banding stations and educational programs at local nature centers. The program aims to continue the legacy of ornithological research in Colorado by fostering community engagement and ecological preservation.

The Butler County Area Foundation Fund (BCAFF) is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Butler County by leveraging contributed funds. BCAFF grants support community projects aimed at long-term success through strategic development initiatives, job creation, and leadership capacity building. They encourage applications that foster local entrepreneurship, engage youth, and promote community educational efforts, ensuring a thriving future for Butler County.

The Thomas C. Ackerman Foundation Grant supports K-12 educational programs in San Diego, focusing on mathematics, sciences, arts, and music. Established in 1991, it aims to assist local non-profits in becoming self-sustaining. Organizations eligible for funding must have operated for over a year without prior funding from the Foundation in the last 24 months. The Foundation seeks to address funding challenges faced by local groups while fostering economic development in the community.

Apprenticeships on the Move

The Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry (L&I) announces the availability of approximately $4,000,000 in funding for Apprenticeships on the Move: Advancing Pennsylvania’s Workforce. 

The purpose of this NGA is to support the development of new registered apprenticeships and pre-apprenticeships, or the expansion of existing registered apprenticeships and pre-apprenticeships that strengthen Pennsylvania's workforce and advance the Commonwealth's economic development priorities. Applicants should demonstrate how their proposed project addresses workforce needs within the industry or occupation served and supports the goals of Governor Shapiro's Ten-Year Strategic Plan for Economic Development and the Pennsylvania WIOA Combined State Plan.

The Walter C. Rasmussen-Northeast Bank Foundation honors the legacy of its founder by supporting initiatives in education, housing, culture, environment, and health. With a focus on community-building, the foundation aims to empower the economically disadvantaged, particularly children and families, through self-sufficiency programs. It prioritizes effective strategies that address local needs in Hennepin, Ramsey, and Anoka counties, ensuring a lasting impact on the community's well-being and development.

The Cherokee and Clay County Trust Grant, established in 1973 by W.J. “Dub” Martin, aims to enhance the well-being of residents in Cherokee and Clay Counties, North Carolina. With an average grant size of $1,000 to $5,000 and approximately 15 grants awarded annually, the trust focuses on areas such as education, health, arts, and human services. It prioritizes organizations that assist young people, support churches, and provide essential services to those in need.

The Minnesota Department of Human Services is seeking proposals for organizations to provide Peer Support Services in Todd County. This initiative aims to support individuals recovering from substance use and mental health issues, especially those transitioning from incarceration. The contract is expected to last for 27 months, with potential extensions. By expanding peer support services, the initiative addresses critical recovery needs and helps prevent overdose deaths among vulnerable populations.

The Lynch Foundation Grant supports not-for-profit organizations in the Greater Boston area, focusing on education, health care, religion, and culture. The foundation promotes access to quality education, innovative health programs, and cultural engagement to drive social change. With a commitment to integrity and collaboration, the foundation emphasizes long-term support and sustainability in its grant-making. Organizations are invited to submit concept papers through a rolling application process to align with the foundation's mission of fostering meaningful community impact.

The Charlotte CF Education Fund Grant aims to enrich the lives of school-age children in Charlotte County, Florida, by providing additional educational opportunities and workforce development. Funded by the Charlotte Community Foundation, this grant supports programs like afterschool initiatives, career development, reading programs, and feeding programs. Eligible applicants must demonstrate fiscal responsibility and primary service to Charlotte County residents, ensuring that grant funds effectively benefit the community.

The CFES Workforce Development Grant supports programs aimed at enhancing job training and career advancement, particularly for underrepresented groups such as individuals with disabilities and non-traditional students. With a maximum funding of $7,500, the grant prioritizes collaborative efforts that demonstrate a commitment to quality education and workforce development. Eligible applicants include IRS-designated nonprofits and educational institutions serving Maryland's Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset Counties.

The 2026 Vilcek Prizes for Creative Promise in Biomedical Science will award three $50,000 prizes to exceptional young immigrant scientists in the U.S. This prestigious prize recognizes innovative research contributions in biomedical science. Eligible candidates must be under 38 years old, hold a doctoral degree, and have made significant achievements in their field. The Vilcek Foundation aims to highlight the impact of immigrant scientists on the advancement of biomedical research, fostering diversity and excellence.

The Community Health Grant from the Nashoba Valley Health Care Fund aims to enhance the health of residents across twelve communities. This year's focus is on improving access to quality healthcare, including primary and preventive care and behavioral health services. Grants typically range from $5,000 to $20,000, with larger requests considered for impactful projects. The fund supports tax-exempt organizations committed to addressing community health challenges.

The WCF Community Grant Program supports capital projects for small nonprofits in the Flathead Valley, enhancing community welfare. Prioritizing initiatives that demonstrate social need, this funding can help organizations gain recognition and possibly participate in the Great Fish Community Challenge. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits or equivalent, benefiting local residents and addressing specific categories such as arts, health, and environment.

The Grace Bersted Foundation Grant supports quality educational, human services, and health care programs for underserved populations, particularly children and the disabled, in DuPage, Kane, Lake, and McHenry counties, Illinois. Established in 1986, it prioritizes organizations with local offices and typically funds grants for one year. Applicants are limited to one submission per calendar year to this and similar foundations, ensuring fair distribution of resources.

Applications are accepted year-round, with quick decisions for smaller requests. This funding opportunity encourages projects that address community needs and build capacity, fostering a stronger, more resilient community.

The Community Fund for Carmel Valley (CFCV) provides grants to nonprofit organizations that support the communities of Carmel Valley, Cachagua, and Jamesburg. It aims to enhance community resources, focusing on community development, youth and senior programming, and educational initiatives. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations, public programs, and those with fiscal sponsors. Special consideration is given to local organizations addressing basic needs and emergency responses, ensuring sustainable community benefits.

The National Audubon Society's Hog Island Audubon Camp in Bremen, Maine, offers an immersive experience for educators seeking to enhance their environmental curriculum. Participants engage with nature through workshops focused on art, music, and citizen science, alongside field trips to observe wildlife. The program includes meals and housing, with a scholarship covering the tuition fee of $1,590. This unique opportunity fosters innovative teaching methods in a stunning natural setting.

The Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia offers the CFNG Grant Program aimed at enhancing housing stability in the region. This includes funding for homelessness prevention, transitional housing, and affordable housing initiatives.
