Kansas Federation of Republican Women Scholarship

For any Kansas registered Republican female college student entering at least her junior year, or who is attending graduate school at a Kansas college or university with a declared major of Political Science, History, Public Administration, Healthcare, Law, or Education

Background

The Kansas Federation of Republican Women is the statewide arm of the National Federation of Republican Women and the local clubs in Kansas. Kansas clubs help with registering people to vote, working at polling places, driving citizens to the polls and numerous community service projects, including many literacy projects. In 2005 a Scholarship Fund was established so that the membership could assist a young woman from Kansas to continue her education at a Kansas college or university, per the requirements in the scholarship form.

The Gene and Lee Meyer Scholarship, founded in 1993, aims to support deserving students from Graham, Jackson, Macon, Swain counties, and the Qualla Boundary in their pursuit of higher education. This scholarship provides essential financial assistance to well-rounded students who excel academically and demonstrate leadership potential. It prioritizes those in need and those transitioning out of foster care, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder their educational aspirations.

Since awarding our first $500 scholarship in 1987, the Saginaw Community Foundation has awarded college scholarships to area students totaling more than $13.7 million, thanks to our generous donors. Each year, over 500 college-bound or career and technical education students benefit from our scholarship awards.

Michigan State University Alumni Association of Saginaw County Scholarship

The Michigan State University Alumni Club of Saginaw County was established in the early 1960s and is associated with the National Michigan State University Alumni Association. From the beginning, the MSU Alumni Club of Saginaw County has had the following mission:

The MSU Alumni Club of Saginaw County, Michigan, shall act as an agency for the dissemination of information regarding the educational advantages of Michigan State University, support the activities of Michigan State University toward the realization of its educational program, in every way possible, including scholarships, and unite, for social purposes, those persons who are interested in the distinguished record and future enhancement of Michigan State University.

The Scholarship Fund itself has been awarding scholarships to MSU students from Saginaw County for over 20 years. Our scholarship recipients have gone on to notable careers in business, engineering, medicine, education, finance, law, social service, public service, manufacturing and a variety of other careers – all of which were “jump started” in part through the scholarship they received from the MSU Alumni Club of Saginaw County. Our proudest moments are when our scholarship recipients return to Saginaw County to work and live and, subsequently, join us as members of the MSU Alumni Club of Saginaw County to help in perpetuating the mission of our Club.

Kurt Budke Scholarship

For students entering their sophomore year or above in college who plan on attending Louisiana Tech University, Oklahoma State University, Washburn University, or Wichita State University.

The Dental Safety Net Grant, funded by the Minnesota Department of Health, aims to support dental providers serving uninsured patients under 21. Annually, up to $113,000 is allocated based on the number of uninsured patients treated. Each provider can receive between 2% and 30% of the total funding. Grants will be distributed over a three-year period, ensuring that financial assistance reaches those most in need.

The Bullying Prevention Funding initiative from the State of Nevada Department of Education aims to create safe and respectful learning environments in schools. This funding supports school districts in complying with legislative mandates to train staff and students in bullying prevention. It fosters collaborative partnerships between local education agencies and the state, ensuring all students and staff can thrive in bully-free schools.

The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is offering grants to support organizations in combating hate crimes. Local governments partnering with eligible nonprofit organizations can apply for funding. This initiative aims to reduce bias-motivated incidents and enhance community safety for those targeted based on race, religion, gender, or other identities. Applications are accepted for a grant period of January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, with a focus on collaborative efforts to address hate crimes.

Bulldog Ben and Marcia Robinson Scholarship

Provides a scholarship to graduating seniors in Muskogee County who have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and 22 ACT score.

The Oscar & Rosetta Fish Fund, established by a dedicated couple from Hawaii, supports students pursuing higher education in Business Administration. Eligible applicants must reside in Hawaii, demonstrate financial need, maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0, and attend any University of Hawaii campus except Manoa. Preference is given to previous recipients who continue to meet these criteria and maintain good academic standing. This fund aims to empower young individuals and foster academic success.

Brian Crawford Memorial Scholarship

Provides a scholarship for Oklahomans who attended high school at Prague, Paden, Seminole, Shawnee, Meeker, Choctaw, Dale, Tecumseh, Bethel or Chandler in Oklahoma or have played in the Brian Crawford Memorial Tournament.

The S&G Labs Hawaii Scholarship Fund, established by the Hawai‘i Community Foundation in 2018, aims to support students transitioning from drug treatment into educational training. Applicants must be Hawaii residents with financial need, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.5, and enrolled full-time in an accredited institution. Average awards are around $6,000, depending on available funds and applicant qualifications. This initiative fosters equity and opportunity for vulnerable communities in Hawaii.

The Safeway Foundation Hawaii Scholarship Fund, established by the Safeway Foundation in 2008, supports Hawaii residents pursuing college education in the state. With awards ranging from $1,000 to several thousand dollars, the average scholarship is approximately $6,000. Eligible applicants must demonstrate financial need, maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be residents of Hawaii. Preference is given to past recipients and those connected to Safeway Hawaii.

The Grace Rosness Memorial Scholarship at Montana State University supports American Indian and Alaska Native students pursuing a degree at the Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship. Eligible candidates must be Montana high school graduates, full-time students with a minimum 2.5 GPA, and involved in extracurricular activities. This scholarship aims to empower students to achieve their educational goals and contribute to their communities.

Alva Hospital Authority Scholarship

Provides a scholarship to graduating seniors from the Share Medical Center service area: Woods County, Oklahoma; Alfalfa County, Oklahoma; Barber County, Kansas who best meet the criteria. In partnership with the Share Medical Center Foundation.

The Penny Allison Early Childhood Fund, managed by the Carbon County Community Foundation, supports early childhood education initiatives in Carbon County, Pennsylvania. Grants ranging from $250 to $500 are available for school programs and nonprofits focused on nurturing young learners and promoting school readiness. Through this fund, the Foundation aims to enhance educational opportunities and enrich the lives of children and families in the community.

The Gloria E. Wheeler Mathematics Scholarship, offered by Montana State University, supports students pursuing a degree in Mathematics. This scholarship is part of the university's commitment to providing accessible education and fostering academic excellence. With a limited number of awards available for incoming students, it aims to enrich the academic journey of future mathematicians at MSU, enhancing their ability to contribute meaningfully to their communities.

The OAC Essential Arts Education Grants for Schools supports Oklahoma schools in enhancing arts education programs during the school day. Schools can apply for up to $5,000 per year, fostering significant improvements in academic performance and student engagement. Arts education develops essential skills, promotes creativity, and encourages civic responsibility. With a focus on hands-on learning led by qualified educators, these grants aim to expand access to various art forms, benefiting both students and the broader community.

The Veterans Legacy Grants Program (VLGP) offers funding up to $400,000 to eligible entities for cemetery research related to Veterans’ interred in national, State, or Tribal cemeteries. It aims to create educational materials promoting community engagement and understanding of Veterans' histories. Administered by the Department of Veterans Affairs, the program provides resources for educational institutions to enhance public knowledge and appreciation of Veterans’ contributions and legacies.

The Glen Turney Engineering Scholarship at Montana State University supports undergraduate students pursuing a degree in engineering. It is aimed at Montana high school graduates, particularly those from Beaverhead and Broadwater counties. This scholarship reflects MSU's commitment to accessible education, fostering talent and innovation in the engineering field, and transforming lives and communities through higher education.

The Arts Access Grant by the Delaware Division of the Arts supports nonprofit organizations offering occasional arts programs. This grant aims to enhance public access to artistic experiences, foster collaborations between artists and community groups, and promote lifelong learning in the arts. Organizations eligible for funding must be based in Delaware and manage programs involving professional artists. The application process is ongoing, with reviews conducted starting in July each year.

The McMillen Family Foundation Grant aims to support non-profit organizations in Southern California focused on treatment, prevention, and education regarding alcohol and drug dependency. Prioritizing nonprofits with proven track records, the Foundation provides funding for activities beyond government support, with grants up to $50,000 for new applicants. The Foundation also offers technical assistance and collaboration opportunities to enhance the impact of its grantees in the community.

The OAC Community Arts Experience Grants, offered by the Oklahoma Arts Council, support community vitality through funding for arts-based projects such as festivals and exhibitions. These grants aim to enhance cultural opportunities for Oklahomans and require a 100% match. Organizations may apply for two grants annually, with a maximum award of $5,000. This program fosters engagement and preserves cultural heritage, replacing the previous Small Grant Support program as of September 1, 2023.

The Arts Accessibility Grant for Improvement Projects, provided by the Nebraska Arts Council, aims to enhance access to arts programs and facilities for individuals with disabilities. Nonprofit arts organizations in Nebraska can apply for this non-matching grant to improve their existing services beyond ADA requirements. Priority is given to those lacking access due to geographical or economic barriers. A Letter of Intent is required before applying, ensuring alignment with accessibility goals.

Awarded to women living in Mahoning, Trumbull or Columbiana County who were born outside of the United States of America attending college.

The OAC Capitol Art Field Trip Grants provide an exceptional opportunity for Oklahoma school children, particularly those from rural and under-resourced communities, to experience the state's rich history and art at the Oklahoma State Capitol. Schools can receive reimbursement for transportation and associated costs, allowing students to engage in guided tours and learn about Oklahoma's art collections and government. Grants are available for up to $1,100 per field trip, fostering a unique educational experience.

The Father Connie Dougherty Memorial Scholarship, established in 1975, supports Sarasota County students under 24 years old who are graduating from local high schools. Aimed at fostering education regardless of background, this scholarship is a tribute to Father Connie Dougherty's dedication to youth programs. Eligible candidates must pursue an undergraduate degree at an accredited institution, ensuring that deserving students can reach their full potential through higher education.
