The applicant must demonstrate reasonable need; must demonstrate the capacity for pursuing the advanced education; must be a resident of Henderson County; must have attended public schools in Henderson County beginning no later than the fourth grammar grade continuing through high school; and must graduate from a public high school in Henderson County.This is a renewable scholarship.

The Margaret A. Friedland Fund for Children in Manitowoc County aims to support and promote positive growth opportunities for low-income and disadvantaged children. About the Scholarship

Melida Patterson was a dedicated volunteer and leader who became a vital part of the Boys and Girls Club of East Mississippi. She was recognized for her efforts and commitment to the mission of the club, which aimed to provide innovative and high-quality programs that empower young people to excel in school and lead productive lives. Melida was even named Volunteer of the Year and served as Chairman of the Board. Her family has now created a scholarship in her honor, which will be awarded to students who demonstrate both financial need and motivation to achieve their potential through higher education. This scholarship is a lasting tribute to Melida, who was a wonderful mother, wife, friend, and advocate, particularly for the less fortunate.

Chicken N Pickle Scholarship Fund

The purpose of this scholarship fund is to assist the employees at Chicken N Pickle who have demonstrated a strong work ethic to further their education.

Past recipients must reapply annually to be considered for future awards.

The Youth Making Change Grants program, offered by The Fund for Santa Barbara, empowers youth aged 12-24 to lead projects that address social issues in Santa Barbara County. With a maximum request of $3,000, these grants support youth-led initiatives that promote social justice and community engagement. The program fosters leadership and philanthropy skills among teens while ensuring their voices are central to the projects. Since 2008, over $350,000 has been awarded to support impactful youth-led projects.

The North Valley Community Foundation traces its history to 1989.

It started as the Chico Community Foundation and was formed by the Chico Chamber of Commerce as a way to make tax-deductible donations to benefit the community. Early examples of programs included a graffiti eradication program and Volunteers In Police Service, or VIPS.

The foundation became independent from the Chico Chamber of Commerce in 1996. The foundation decided to expand its geographic scope and changed its name to North Valley Community Foundation, with the objective of doing work in all of Butte, Glenn and Tehama counties. It later added Colusa County.

Donna Murrill Fund Grant

Donna Murrill memorial fund supports wildfire recovery efforts.

North Valley Community Foundation has awarded more than $108,500 in wildfire recovery grants from a memorial fund set up by Donna Murrill. The largest grant was $25,000 to the Rebuild Paradise Foundation for its gravel grant program that is helping residents save money on home insurance.

The grant from the Donna Murrill Fund provided gravel for defensible space for atleast 50 homes, which in turn allowed homeowners thousands of dollars a year in insurance premiums. 

Murrill, a longtime Durham resident and Butte County Health Department employee, established the fund through her estate for wildfire relief.

Jim and Pat Croston Family Scholarship

Awarded to a former graduate of an accredited high school in the Sioux Falls area. Preference is given to applicants pursuing a degree in elementary or secondary education and who have plans to work in a middle school setting.

New ERA Writers Program Goals

The New Era Writers Program aims to inspire those who seek to improve their current abilities or find a community with like-minded individuals and writers. We want to provide support and resources to writers and writing programs to help amplify their voices and improve their capabilities. Our Foundation believes that one of the most important life skills is the ability to be an effective writer and communicator. We support programs that will provide anyone with the knowledge and skills to express themselves through the art of writing and encourage higher levels of training designed to assist in delivering clear and persuasive arguments for change and equality. This program was designed to support writers as they pursue a career and love of writing.

Program Outline

The New Era program was created to encourage writing professionals, teachers, counselors, professors, and schools to start or continue programs supporting professional and creative writing career paths.

The program can support:

• Any writing genre: Journalism, Fiction, Poetry, Prose, Blogging, Novel, Autobiography, Book Reviews, Comic Strips, Diaries, Essays, Fables, etc.
• Programs can be Workshops, Writing Clubs, Curriculum Based Programs, After-school programs, Summer Programs, Retreats, etc.
• Program space that provides a safe and inspiring environment.
• Community Partnerships or On-Staff Writing Professionals or Teachers with Writing Degrees or who Minored in Writing or any Humanities, Liberal Arts or another degree that teaches or encourages writing.

Awarded to graduating seniors from South Dakota high schools. This award is renewable for up to three additional years if requirements are met and if funds are available.

The Elk Grove Regional Scholarship Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the college and career plans of students in the Elk Grove Unified School District area.

The Meeting Organizer Grants by the Federation of European Microbiological Societies support both virtual and in-person meetings, offering up to €15,000. Designed for members of FEMS Member Societies, these grants prioritize funding for Early Career Scientists' attendance. Eligible events include scientific conferences, workshops, and training courses within Europe, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing in the microbiological community.

The William Male Foundation Grant supports individual artists in San Diego County, providing funding between $1,000 and $5,000 for artistic development, training, and project execution. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and demonstrate artistic potential through recommendations and work samples. The foundation prioritizes artistic merit, financial need, and community impact. Applications are open year-round, with decisions made biannually on April 1 and October 1.

The Andre and Linda Altans Native American Scholarship at Montana State University supports undergraduate students who are enrolled members of federally recognized tribes and residents of Montana. Eligible candidates must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 and demonstrate financial need. Youth Action Council Mini-Grants

Midland Area Youth Action Council Mini-Grants give us the opportunity to invest in youth philanthropists (young people who are already working to make the world a better place!) and community adults who invest their time and energy into improving the lives of our area’s young people.

Midland Area Youth Action Council Educator Mini-Grant

The Midland Area Youth Action Council offers mini-grants of up to $500 for classroom projects that motivate and challenge students who attend school in Midland County. Priority is given to plans that provide materials that can be used for multiple years or in multiple classrooms over experiential plans such as field trips or single-use materials.

The Midland Area Youth Action Council recognizes that students come from diverse backgrounds, have different learning styles, and can benefit from creative learning opportunities. The Youth Action Council would like to provide educators with a funding opportunity to develop and implement instructional projects to motivate and challenge students to learn. Proposals should be unique classroom projects that enliven and enrich the curriculum. Projects are encouraged to be interdisciplinary, active-learning lessons and reinforce learning through simulation or applied to real-life situations.

The Bob Woodruff Foundation Grants aim to support veterans and their families facing challenges after military service. By raising awareness and providing funding, the foundation focuses on improving health and well-being through direct service programs. Key criteria include enhancing access to healthcare, promoting healthy lifestyles, and fostering sustainability in organizations serving this community. This initiative plays a crucial role in helping veterans thrive post-service.

The Ashland County Community Foundation offers IMPACT Youth Grants aimed at enhancing the lives of children and teens in Ashland County. These competitive grants support nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status for various initiatives, including project grants, program development, and capital campaigns. However, funding is not available for individual grants, operating expenses, or religious purposes. This program empowers local organizations to create impactful projects for the youth community.

The ACCF Women's Fund Grants aim to empower women through competitive funding for 501(c)(3) organizations. These grants, ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, support projects that enhance economic independence, leadership, and skills development. Eligible organizations can apply for funding for program development, equipment, and capital campaigns. First-time applicants must interview with Foundation staff prior to submission, while repeat applicants can choose to do so. Grants are designed to create a community-wide benefit for women.

The Sgt. David J. Smith Veterans Relief Fund provides financial assistance to veterans and their families in Frederick County, Maryland, who are facing unexpected financial challenges. Nonprofit organizations can apply on behalf of eligible households, ensuring that only those with honorable military discharges benefit. Support is limited to once every 12 months per veteran, and applications are accepted as long as funding is available, making this a critical resource for local veterans in need.

The Kids’ Chance of Florida Scholarship Program awards scholarships to dependent children of a worker who has been killed or seriously injured in a claim accepted as compensable under the Florida Workers’ Compensation Act (Chapter 440, Florida Statutes), the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (33 U.S.C. § 901 et seq.), or the Federal Employees’ Compensation Act (5 U.S.C. Chapter 81).

The program is administered by Kids’ Chance of Florida, Inc. and governed by a Board of Directors representing a cross-section of the legal and workers’ compensation communities.

Kids’ Chance of Florida offers one scholarship cycle per year. Students who receive a Kids’ Chance scholarship must reapply each year to be considered for continued support.

The Anderson Graphic Design Scholarship at Montana State University supports students pursuing a degree in Graphic Design from the School of Art. California Energy Commission

As the state’s primary energy policy and planning agency, the California Energy Commission (CEC) plays a critical role in creating the energy system of the future—one that is clean, modern, and ensures the fifth largest economy in the world continues to thrive. Combating climate change is fundamental to maintaining California’s future. California’s National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program – Solicitation 3

Purpose of Solicitation

This is a competitive grant solicitation. The California Energy Commission (CEC) announces the availability of up to $79,000,000 in grant funds for projects that will strategically deploy electric vehicle (EV) charging stations with publicly accessible, high-powered, direct current fast chargers (DCFCs) to support lightduty EV travel along major corridors as required under the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) formula program.
