The Mutual Self-Help Housing Technical Assistance Grants in Maryland provide federal funding to organizations aiding low-income families in constructing their homes. Eligible applicants include non-profit organizations and federally-recognized Tribes. The grants facilitate technical assistance and supervisory support during the construction process, empowering families to contribute labor to their housing projects. U-M Alumnae Club (University of Michigan) Scholarships

Open to second year or higher undergraduate or graduate students who identify as female, are 3+ year residents of Allegan, Barry, Ionia, Kent, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newaygo, or Ottawa counties, and attending University of Michigan and with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Scholarships include the Gretchen Slack Appelt and Doris Ann Slack, Margaret Appelt Kerr, Meta Prange Murphy/Lucille Prange, and Rosemary Scott scholarships.

The Range Resources Good Neighbors Fund Grants support nonprofit organizations providing emergency management services in their core operating area. Eligible projects include new or existing programs, with funding requests capped at $10,000. Organizations such as fire and police departments are encouraged to apply, ensuring vital community services are enhanced and supported through this initiative.

The Freeman K. Hill Teen Scholarship, offered by the Community Foundation of Howard County, provides a $1,500 award to a senior student in Howard County. Eligible students must demonstrate their religious faith through good citizenship, community service, and academic excellence, maintaining an unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher through Grade 12. This scholarship supports students planning to attend college or trade school, fostering their educational and personal growth.

The Bud and Linda Tarrson Fellowship, awarded by the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation, offers $30,000 ($10,000 annually for up to three years) to periodontists aiming for academic careers. Eligibility includes being a faculty member at an instructor or assistant level and having no more than ten years of affiliation with a degree-granting institution. The Jon Grove Memorial Scholarship, valued at $2,500, supports Howard County Public High School seniors whose lives have been affected by cancer. Offered by the Community Foundation of Howard County, this scholarship encourages students with a minimum 2.0 GPA to pursue further education at a college, university, or trade school. It aims to recognize and assist those who have demonstrated resilience in the face of adversity, fostering hope and opportunity for impacted families.

The Illuminate the Arts Grant (ITAG), administered by Creative Philadelphia, aims to uplift Philadelphia's creative sector through $1.5M in funding for individual artists and small organizations. Targeting historically underfunded communities, ITAG supports artistic practices while enhancing public access to the arts. Walter C. Winchester Scholarship

Open to undergraduate students who are graduates of a Grand Rapids Public High School with a minimum 3.3 GPA.

The Cyberinfrastructure for Sustained Scientific Innovation (CSSI) program by the National Science Foundation aims to provide flexible funding opportunities to address evolving needs in cyberinfrastructure. The OSGC Mini-Grant Program supports innovative STEM projects for Ohio K-12 teachers, offering up to $1,000 in funding with a required 1:1 cost share. Eligible projects may include purchasing materials or supporting field trips, provided they feature structured STEM programming. Applications are particularly welcomed from schools in urban and rural areas, with all awards contingent on available funding.

The Do Something Great Awards, presented by the Heart of Illinois Community Foundation, recognize extraordinary individuals who have significantly impacted Macon County through their dedication and service. This award, specifically honoring the Ray Batman Nonprofit Professional of the Year, celebrates professionals who demonstrate exceptional commitment to community support, particularly during challenging times like the pandemic. Renamed in memory of Ray Batman, a revered community leader, the award continues to inspire others to contribute to societal betterment.

The Junior Fellowship at Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg provides early career researchers with the opportunity to engage in focused research while enjoying a vibrant community. With a duration of 3-10 months, fellows receive a stipend of up to 2,000 EUR per month. Applications are accepted from those who have completed their doctoral degree within the last five years and have not worked in the region for more than six months in the past three years. Collaboration with local institutions is encouraged.

The Madrid Community Endowment Fund is a charitable foundation created by and for local citizens to improve the quality of life right here in our communities. We are here to help donors make a positive, local impact by offering a variety of giving tools to help people achieve their charitable giving goals and do good work in our community that lasts forever.

The Madrid Community Endowment Fund is committed to improving the quality of life throughout Madrid by investing in area nonprofits through our grant programs and by providing individuals, families and area businesses who love our community with a way to give back.

Madrid Community Endowment Fund Grants

Grants are available to 501(c)3 organizations and government entities serving the Madrid community. Grant selections are made in an effort to create a better quality of life for people in Madrid. The local governing committee reviews the applications from charitable organizations serving their community. 

Digital Promise

Digital Promise is a global nonprofit working to expand opportunity for every learner. Working with a wide range of partners and practitioners in the U.S. and around the world, our initiatives have impacted over 4.4 million students and 180,000 teachers across 173 districts and in 27 countries to date.

Digital Promise was authorized by Congress in 2008, signed into law by President George W. Bush, and formally launched by President Barack Obama in September 2011. Startup support came from the U.S. Department of Education, Carnegie Corporation of New York, William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Since then, Digital Promise has grown rapidly with support from both original and new funders.

AIMS EduData Initiative

The Advancing Innovative Math Solutions (AIMS) EduData Initiative, funded by the Gates Foundation, seeks to build sustainable and scalable research infrastructure to advance math learning. AIMS EduData especially encourages applications from graduate students and early career professionals, educators with research roles, such as those working in district research offices, and researchers located at minority serving institutions or Title I school districts. Successful applicants will conduct original research using datasets provided by leading digital learning platforms (DLPs) and participate in a growing community.

RightOn Education and Teachley Math RFP

For education researchers and practitioners

Benefits for successful applicants:

• Opportunity to investigate associations between features of a Digital Learning Platform and mechanisms supporting student learning, engagement, motivation, and instructional practice.
• Opportunity to contribute to the education R&D movement by expanding its capacity and skills, providing feedback to DLPs about the utility of their datasets and insights about their features, and demonstrating the affordances and value of conducting research through DLPs.
• Involvement in a dynamic, supportive community of digital learning providers and researchers
• Two proposals will be funded

This solicitation offers opportunities to run experiments in two DLPs. One enables research with Teachley Math, an intervention that includes interactive digital games and problem-solving modeling tools, lessons and formative assessment data for students in grades K-5. The second enables research with RightOn Education, an online digital learning platform for grades 7-10 that allows teachers to create or select math games, engage students in feedback and reflection on their thinking, and access real-time information about student misconceptions.

Teachley Math is particularly interested in research investigating:

• Through what mechanisms does feedback shape outcomes?
• What sequences of tool actions best predict eventual correctness?
• What are common error patterns and do they vary by grade level?
• Do process measures add predictive validity beyond final-answer accuracy?
