The Potter Charitable Trust Grant supports nonprofit organizations aiding the economically underprivileged in Kent County, Delaware. Established in 1843, this trust funds initiatives focusing on crisis assistance, homelessness, hunger, and health care. Grants are awarded to programs demonstrating a lasting positive impact. Agencies must serve the state without discrimination, while the trust does not support individuals, non-501(c)(3) nonprofits, or certain educational and fundraising activities. Applications are welcomed from dedicated organizations making a difference.

There have been a lot of improvements in our Tennessee communities since the former Federal Transportation Enhancement (TE) Program, now known as the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP), began providing funds to local governments in 1991. Nearly $409 million in grants have been distributed by the Department. The money has gone to hundreds of communities across the Volunteer State to build sidewalks and bike lanes, update ADA accessibility and to renovate historic transportation facilities and other transportation-related structures. The impact of some of the projects is primarily local, whereas projects such as the wildflower planting along roadways across the state can be enjoyed annually by thousands of Tennesseans and tourists. Whether large or small, the projects serve the same purposes - improving access and providing a better quality of life for people in the state of Tennessee.

In order to be considered for project funding, the application must fall into one or more of the following specific categories as defined by federal legislation and relate to surface transportation 

• Pedestrian and Bicycle Facilities & Safe Routes for Non-Drivers
  • All facilities must be hard-surfaced, ADA compliant and provide adequate connectivity and separation from vehicular traffic. Sidewalk facilities must be a minimum of 5-feet wide and shared-use facilities must be a minimum of 10-feet wide. TAP funds can be used for sidewalks, walkways or curb ramps, bike lane striping, wide paved shoulders, bike parking and bus racks, traffic calming for the safety of bike/ped traffic, off-road trails, bike and pedestrian bridges/underpasses and ADA compliance.
• Conversion of Abandoned Railway Corridors to Trails
  • Construction of hard-surfaced pedestrian or shared-use ADA accessible trails and rails-with-trails projects.
• Scenic Turnouts and Overlooks
  • Construction of scenic turnouts, overlooks and viewing areas.
• Historic Preservation & Rehab of Historic Transportation Facilities
  • Preservation of transportation buildings and facades in historical districts, restoration of historic buildings for transportation-related purposes, access improvements to historic sites, restoration of railroad depots, bus stations and rehabilitation of rail trestles, tunnels and bridges.
• Archaeological Activities
  • Projects related to archaeological assessments from the implementation of current highway construction projects

Lewes and Rehoboth Canal Fund

These small grants will support scientific, educational, historical, cultural and artistic programs focusing on the canal, as defined as from Roosevelt Inlet in Lewes at the north and to the mouth above Dewey Beach emptying into Rehoboth Bay.

Purpose of the Fund

The purpose of the Fund shall be for grants exclusively for charitable, scientific or educational objectives, subject to the purpose and intent of the DCF, applicable law and Internal Revenue Service regulation. The Fund is intended to provide grants to qualified charitable organizations that support scientific, educational, historical, cultural and artistic programs focusing on the canal, as defined as from Roosevelt Inlet in Lewes at the north and to the mouth above Dewey Beach emptying into Rehoboth Bay. 

SerVermont VISTA Program RPF

This cohort will begin service on August 10, 2026.

AmeriCorps VISTA members are made available through SerVermont through a VISTA Supervision Grant from AmeriCorps, the federal agency that oversees National Service. SerVermont has administered the VISTA Umbrella Project on behalf of AmeriCorps since 2011 (now in its 15th year) and is currently the only VISTA project in Vermont. The statewide SerVermont VISTA project seeks to end poverty in Vermont by building capacity in organizations that address homelessness, provide job training, invest in food security, provide nutrition education, and promote disaster resiliency. In the 2026-2027 Program Year, SerVermont is anticipating the availability of up to 21 VISTA member positions.

SerVermont is especially interested in partnering with organizations with a focus on disaster mitigation, recovery and resilience, in addition to organizations that address housing security and support workforce development initiatives.

Every VISTA Project Host Site must fall within the VISTA Programming Framework:

Anti-Poverty Focus - The purpose of VISTA is to support efforts to eliminate poverty. The goal of every project must be to help individuals and communities move out of poverty, not simply make poverty more tolerable. The project should focus on long-term solutions rather than short-term services.

Community Empowerment - VISTA Project Sponsors and Host Sites must ensure that their project engages residents of the low-income community in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating the project. The project must be responsive and relevant to the lives of residents in the community, and should tap into inherent community assets, strengths, and resources.

Sustainable Solutions - As originally designated in the Domestic Volunteer Service Act and reinforced in the Serve America Act, VISTA members are a short-term (one-year) resource who serve to build the long-term sustainability of anti-poverty programs. All VISTA projects should be developed with a goal to phase out the need for VISTA members and strengthen the ability of the project to continue without them. VISTA projects typically last three years, occasionally longer. From the beginning of the project planning process, the sponsor and community must think about how to use the VISTA project to phase in other resources and systems to replace the VISTA resource.

Capacity Building - Through activities such as fundraising, establishment of volunteer recruitment and management systems, community outreach, and partnership development, VISTAs help sponsors achieve lasting solutions to poverty. In order to build capacity, VISTAs do not perform direct service. Direct service is defined as activities that immediately address individual clients’ needs, and these activities are usually focused on short term goals. Ideally, VISTAs work their position out of existence and create systems that remain long after their service ends.

IAD investigates and addresses the health, economy, education and legislative impacts affecting Indian conditions and relations in New Mexico.

IAD collaborates with other state agencies, promotes public participation and serves as the clearinghouse for all state programs impacting Indian communities.

The department may hold hearings, conduct meetings, investigate issues and partner with tribal, local, state and federal entities to promote the welfare of New Mexico’s Indian people.

It also contracts with tribal governments, public agencies or private entities to provide services and facilities for Indian communities.

IAD also focuses on matters such as Behavioral Health & Suicide Prevention, Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons (MMIP), Environmental Justice, Policy & Legislation and more.

Entrepreneur Training & Support for New Mexico Tribal Citizens & Communities

The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals to provide entrepreneurial training, education, and resources to assist tribal members in New Mexico in starting, expanding, and sustaining Native-owned businesses.

The Residential Septic System Education & Maintenance Program, initiated by the Western Montana Conservation Commission, aims to enhance water quality in Western Montana by reducing pollutants from septic systems. This program provides grants for education, outreach, and best practices in septic maintenance. Eligible applicants include government entities and non-profits that meet specific criteria. Projects must focus on outreach, education, and community involvement to foster long-term behavior change regarding septic system care and water quality preservation.

The BCF Community Grant, offered by the Barry Community Foundation, aims to enhance community welfare by connecting resources with needs. This grant supports nonprofit, educational, and governmental initiatives that foster sustainable change in Barry County. Prioritizing alignment with the Seven Elements of a Healthy Community, these grants address vital areas such as Arts and Culture, Basic Needs, and Health and Wellness. The foundation is committed to making a positive impact through strategic grantmaking.

The Trinity Second Century Foundation Grant aims to support underserved communities in Denver. With a history of awarding $70,000 in grants to local nonprofits, the foundation focuses on addressing critical needs such as housing, homelessness, and food security. This year's funding will empower organizations dedicated to these vital community services, ensuring a lasting impact on the lives of those in need.

The National Girls and Women in Sports (NAGWS) Legacy Award, established by SHAPE America, honors exemplary contributions to increasing opportunities for women in sports. This annual award recognizes current SHAPE America members who submit impactful proposals related to women's sports, with a monetary prize of $1000. The award will be presented at the National Convention & Exposition, with a special deadline of November 1st. Nominations can include various initiatives aimed at empowering women in sports.

The Youth Philanthropy Board Grant in New Castle County aims to provide crucial support to nonprofits focusing on mental health initiatives for vulnerable populations, including those facing food insecurity, substance abuse, or suicide risks. Targeted groups include LGBTQIA youth, teenage parents, and youth in foster care. Through this initiative, the grant seeks to foster community resilience and enhance the well-being of at-risk individuals in the area.

The Memorial Foundation for Children Grant Program aims to enhance the lives of children in the Richmond Metropolitan Area by funding nonprofit organizations focused on Education and Health and Wellness. Prioritizing evidence-based programs, it supports initiatives that demonstrate long-term impact and serve low-income families. Grants are awarded biennially, emphasizing collaboration among organizations to tackle significant issues affecting children from birth to age 21. The program seeks to ensure that all children can reach their full potential.

The Craig Covey LGBT and Diversity Pride Fund Grant, established by Stark County activist Craig Covey, aims to support local nonprofits adopting non-discrimination policies. With a total funding of $5,000, it will provide ten mini-grants of $500 each to organizations that prioritize inclusivity for marginalized communities, including racial, cultural, and sexual minorities. This initiative reinforces Covey's lifelong commitment to advocacy and aims to foster a more engaged and inclusive community in Stark County.

Humane Housing Grants

The Buhl Regional Health Foundation (BRHF) invites proposals from nonprofit organizations serving Mercer County to support initiatives that strengthen Humane Housing for children, youth, and their families. Humane Housing is one of the seven Vital Conditions for a Thriving Community Framework now guiding BRHF’s funding strategy. This is a foundational factor influencing long-term well-being.

In Mercer County, access to safe, stable, and dignified housing remains a critical determinant of physical, emotional, and mental health. Youth who experience housing instability or unsafe living conditions face significant barriers to healthy development, educational success, and long-term thriving. Through this RFP, BRHF seeks programs that prevent housing instability, improve living conditions, promote family stability, and ensure that all young people have access to safe environments where they can grow, learn, and thrive. Projects may focus on prevention, early intervention, housing-related support, or innovative community partnerships that strengthen long-term stability for youth and families.

Focus Areas

Proposals should clearly address one or more of the following priority areas and reflect the principle that Humane Housing is a vital community condition essential for child well-being:

• Coordinated care approaches that reduce system barriers
• Programs connecting families to long-term housing solutions

The Women’s Giving Circle of Harford County (WGC) Grant provides financial support to nonprofit organizations focused on women, children, and families in Harford County. Grants of up to $5,000 are awarded for specific projects or activities that directly benefit these groups. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) tax-exempt entities, and funds cannot be used for general operating expenses or sectarian purposes. Applications must include detailed project proposals and prior grant reports if applicable.

The SK27 Sickle Cell Initiative Continuation Solicitation, administered by the Ohio Department of Health, aims to enhance the quality and accessibility of comprehensive sickle cell services across Ohio. This initiative focuses on supporting individuals of all ages, promoting public awareness, and improving coordination of resources. By collaborating with Regional Sickle Cell Projects, the program emphasizes effective tracking, counseling, and education to address sickle cell-related health disparities and improve outcomes for affected communities.

The H-E-B Community Investment Program supports nonprofit organizations within its service area by providing monetary funding, volunteers, or in-kind donations. It prioritizes projects in arts, education, health, and social services. Eligible organizations must have valid 501c3 status and reapply annually for funding. The CFNWPA Catholic Social Ministry Grant supports projects that align with Catholic social teachings and serve the 13 counties of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Erie. Funding is available for initiatives that provide counseling services, marriage support, community building, elderly care, and emergency services for the poor. Eligible organizations include Catholic nonprofits and parishes. The grant prioritizes projects that demonstrate sustainability and community impact, fostering long-term support for vital ministries.

The Anne Arundel County Forestry and Forested Land Protection Grant Program, in partnership with the Chesapeake Bay Trust, aims to fund forestry projects and land protection initiatives in Anne Arundel County. This program focuses on cost-effective reforestation and greening efforts to enhance protected forested land, improve soil and water quality, reduce erosion, and provide essential ecological services. By supporting these initiatives, the program contributes to environmental sustainability and climate resilience.

The Community Partnership Grants by the Jazz & Heritage Foundation aim to support music and art education programs, cultural events, and artistic projects that reflect Louisiana's rich culture. With grants up to $5,000, the foundation prioritizes Louisiana-based applicants, fostering community engagement and cultural preservation. Since 1979, over $13.5 million has been awarded, helping schools and nonprofits thrive. This initiative encourages both documentation and creation of artworks that celebrate the unique heritage of Louisiana.

The Generosity Collective Grantmaking Program, led by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, aims to address pressing local issues in Springfield by funding impactful projects. With a total of $120,000 available, grants of $30,000 will be awarded to one agency in each of four categories: early childhood development, child abuse prevention, mental health support, and affordable housing. The Giant Company and Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Healing the Planet Grants support tree planting initiatives in Pennsylvania, enhancing environmental health and community well-being. This program, initiated by the non-profit PA CleanWays, empowers local volunteers to tackle litter and illegal dumping while providing funding of up to $4,000 for projects. By investing in green spaces, the program aims to significantly improve water and air quality, contributing to a cleaner and more beautiful Pennsylvania for all residents.

The HICAHS Emerging Issues Grants support innovative research addressing urgent agricultural health and safety concerns. Funded by the High Plains Intermountain Center for Agricultural Health and Safety, these grants prioritize projects that tackle emerging health risks, including climate change impacts, infectious diseases, and mental health issues among agricultural workers. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, enabling quick responses to pressing needs in the community. This initiative aims to enhance safety and resilience in the agricultural sector.

The Rural Opioid Technical Assistance Centers program aims to provide essential training and technical assistance to combat opioid and stimulant misuse in rural areas. With 10 Regional Centers and a National Coordinating Office, the initiative focuses on high-quality prevention, treatment, and recovery support services for substance use disorders. This program anticipates awarding 11 new grants to enhance community health and safety in addressing polysubstance use challenges.
