Texas Mutual Community Grants: Working Texans Economic Opportunity Grant

Reducing barriers that limit economic opportunity for working Texans

Texas Mutual seeks to invest in initiatives that stabilize working households so Texans can obtain and sustain employment and participate in economic opportunities. We’re looking for organizations aligned with one of the following focus areas:

• Championing working parents by expanding access to quality early childhood education (ages 0-5) or out-of-school time care for children so that parents can obtain and retain stable employment.
• Prioritizing workforce wellness by ensuring working Texans are physically healthy through increased access to primary care.
• Enabling workforce advancement by facilitating access to essential basic needs so that working Texans can obtain or retain stable employment, building a foundation for long-term economic mobility.

Requests should not exceed 10% of the organization’s current operating budget. Only one Texas Mutual community grant may be awarded per organization per calendar year.

BLF uses an open application process to collect and review project ideas that align with BLF Focus Areas There are three types of applications: Long Application; Short Application; and Capacity Building Application.

BLF Grants: Short Application

• For requests of $50,000 or less in total funding, including multi-year requests
• Projects must support BLF Pillars and Focus Areas to be consider for funding
• Only one application form is submitted for review
• Approx 6-week process starting from application submission

Clean Water Construction Grant Program

The mission of the District of Columbia’s Clean Water Construction (CWC) program is to fund the design and construction of voluntary projects that provide clean water to District streams and rivers.

Clean Water Construction Treatment Works Projects - Notice Of Funding Availability and Request For Partners (RFP)

DOEE seeks to identify collaborative partners for its fiscal year (FY) 2027 Clean Water Construction (CWC) grant application to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Applications are requested for project partners in three categories of work: (1) Sewage Infrastructure Projects, (2) Stormwater Grey Infrastructure Projects, and (3) Stormwater Green Infrastructure Projects. This RFP is competitive.

Clean Water Construction Grant Program - Stormwater Grey Infrastructure Projects

Stormwater Grey Infrastructure Projects prevent or reduce discharge of stormwater pollution from industrial activities at municipal facilities into storm sewers, combined sewer systems, or District waterbodies. Industrial activities include those for which stormwater pollution prevention is required under the Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP) permit, the District’s Municipal Separate Storm Sewer (MS4) permit, or other National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits.

Project examples

• Leachate pretreatment at municipal landfills and trash transfer stations;
• Infrastructure to prevent stormwater from coming into contact with contaminants; and
• Any method, conveyance, equipment, or infrastructure used as part of a system for treating stormwater to remove pollutants.

The Mayo Clinic Community Contributions Program in Florida focuses on improving access to nutritious food. This grant supports registered 501(c)(3) organizations in northeast Florida, encouraging initiatives that align with community health needs. Eligible projects include health services, education, and youth enrichment, aiming to foster vibrant and sustainable communities. Grant applications are accepted for projects that demonstrate community need and secure additional funding, with a commitment to transparent and engaged grantmaking.

The Frances M. Peacock Scholarship, established in 1994 by the Garden Club of America, supports college seniors and graduate students studying seasonal habitats for endangered native birds in the U.S. With an annual award of $4500, this scholarship aims to promote effective land-management practices. Eligible candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents enrolled in a U.S. institution. Note that international applicants are not eligible for funding due to IRS restrictions.
