Applicants must demonstrate financial need and attend church in the Suttons Bay or Bingham area. Priority will be given to students attending/planning to attend Michigan State University and who attend Immanuel Lutheran Church or First Lutheran Church. Previous recipients are eligible to apply.

The Production Costs Grants for Performing Artists, offered by the City of San Antonio, aim to support local performing arts organizations and professional artists. This funding can be utilized for artist fees, back-of-house labor, marketing for upcoming productions, security, and rental costs. The goal is to promote accessible, high-quality, and innovative performing arts programming in the San Antonio area.

Bopp Busch Manufacturing Company established this scholarship to honor its founding families, August and Eva Bopp and Chester and Betty Busch. The scholarship was created to give back to the residents of the area that made the business possible, and to encourage post-secondary education in general and more specifically in the skilled trades.

Erica Alexis Bell Memorial Scholarship

The Erica Alexis Bell Memorial Scholarship has been established by her parents, with pride, to help others who, like Erica, want to become teachers. For graduating seniors from Columbus City Schools to attend Central State University in Xenia, Ohio.

The AAF Capital Grants program supports Colorado animal welfare organizations seeking over $100,000 for long-term projects that enhance the lives of shelter animals and provide community services. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) entities with a history of funding from the Animal Assistance Foundation, demonstrating community commitment and collaboration. Grants are limited to organizations improving the quality of life for animals, ensuring sustainability and long-term impact within their communities.

The Opportunities for Collaborative Research at the NIH Clinical Center aims to foster high-quality translational research partnerships between NIH intramural and extramural investigators. This program supports projects that bridge basic biological discoveries with clinical applications, ultimately enhancing patient-centric research. By facilitating collaborations, the program seeks to accelerate scientific advancements leading to improved health outcomes through innovative therapeutic interventions and diagnostic strategies.

Pastor Otis L. Cobbins, Sr. Memorial Scholarship

The Pastor Otis L. Cobbins, Sr. Memorial Scholarship honors a young individual(s) who is furthering their education and exemplifies the attributes of Pastor Cobbins, Sr. These attributes include: honest; integrity; hard working; strong character; love of humanity; servant to community and family; trustworthy; and committed.

The Seed Grant for Research on Lottery Gambling, announced by the International Center for Responsible Gaming and the Hoosier Lottery, promotes studies focusing on responsible gambling and gambling disorders related to lottery activities. Researchers are encouraged to explore various projects, including pilot studies, preliminary research, and follow-up testing. Emphasizing the connection to Indiana, the initiative seeks to develop insights that inform responsible gambling practices and policies.

The World Trade Center Youth Research Coordinating Center aims to establish a research cohort to study the health impacts on youth exposed to the 9/11 events. This initiative, backed by the NIOSH, will focus on individuals aged 21 or younger at the time of exposure, including those in utero. The Center will integrate diverse expertise to assess long-term health and educational effects while enhancing community engagement and stakeholder communication throughout its activities.

The Gerber Foundation provides research grants focused on pediatric nutrition, aiming to enhance the health and well-being of infants and young children. Key areas of interest include applied research on nutritional issues, benefits of specific nutrients, and innovative treatment regimens. The foundation prioritizes projects that promise significant advancements in health outcomes for children from birth to age three, ensuring that grant dollars effectively address critical development challenges.

Acclaim Federal Credit Union Ed Thomas Community Service Scholarship Fund

Ed was an Acclaim board member from 1987 until 2021. He held various positions during his tenure including Chairman. During his many years of admirable volunteerism, he offered unwavering support and guidance to the ever growing success and growth of Acclaim. In honor of his hard work, volunteerism, and dedication to our credit union, we have established an annual $1,000 scholarship fund available to our members.

Acclaim has partnered with the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation to offer an easy-to-manage application process for our members. There’s a simple sign up process which allows you to manage your scholarship application through their portal.

In addition to the Acclaim Federal Credit Union Ed Thomas Community scholarship, the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation is offering additional scholarship awards. An applicant that does not receive a scholarship award from Acclaim is automatically entered in the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation’s scholarship pool.

The Knight Foundation Fund, established in 2002 by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, aims to foster engaged communities in Milledgeville and Baldwin County, Georgia. With an annual grant allocation of approximately $90,000, the fund supports initiatives that enhance civic engagement, attract and retain talent, and connect diverse communities. Organizations must be in good standing as nonprofits or government entities to apply, ensuring impactful projects benefit local residents.

Ozzy's Fund, named after a rescued cat, aims to improve animal welfare in central Georgia. It prioritizes funding for animal rescue, spay/neuter programs, and efforts to prevent cruelty. The fund supports nonprofits directly working with animals, ensuring that initiatives promote their well-being. Projects must focus on tangible outcomes for animals rather than public awareness campaigns. By fostering community engagement and direct service, Ozzy's Fund seeks to make a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable animals.

The Alice Huffard Richards Fund offers Civic & Community Leadership Grants aimed at enhancing life in Carroll, Haralson, and Heard Counties in Georgia. Established in 2004, the fund supports nonprofits that engage communities and strengthen leadership. Eligible applicants include 501c3 organizations operating within these counties, focusing on initiatives that promote civic education and community involvement.

The Katherine 'Trinka' Davis Rhynne Grant, established in 2009, honors the legacy of Ms. Davis, a successful businesswoman dedicated to helping veterans and their families. This fund supports nonprofit organizations providing direct assistance to veterans in Carroll County, Georgia. Grants are limited to unique projects per cycle, ensuring fair distribution of resources. Ms. Davis's commitment to her community and her efforts to rebuild her company after a devastating fire serve as an inspiring example of resilience and dedication.

Helen & Bob Bintz Scholarship

The Bintz Scholarship, created in 2001, supports Catholic education and makes awards to any Marion County student to attend a Catholic university, especially the University of Dayton, the alma mater of many family members. The fund honors the parents of its creators, Patricia Kelly, Suzanne Burkhart, and MaryJo Balistreri.

Recipients of the Bintz Scholarship rank in the upper 25th percentile of their high school graduating class and/or maintain a college GPA of 3.0 or higher. They must have attended a high school located in Marion County for at least the 18 months prior to their application.
