The HAF: Holiday Funding Partnership Grant, supported by the Humboldt Area Foundation, provides essential funding for charitable organizations offering winter holiday assistance in Humboldt, Del Norte, Trinity, and Curry counties. District Department of Transportation

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) was established by The District Department of Transportation Establishment Act of 2002 as a cabinet-level agency responsible for the management of transportation infrastructure and operations (D.C. Law 14-137 [2002]).

Every day, over 1,000 members of the DDOT team work tirelessly to ensure that the District’s roads are safe, reliable , and easy to navigate for the millions of residents, commuters, and visitors who use the transportation network each year.

Mission: The District Department of Transportation’s mission is to equitably deliver a safe, sustainable and reliable multimodal transportation network for all residents and visitors of the District of Columbia. 

National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Program Funding Round #1

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) invites organizations, businesses, and District of Columbia property owners to apply for a competitive grant to design, install, operate, and maintain federally compliant Direct Current (DC) fast charging stations. Under the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program, DDOT is receiving $16.7 million over five (5) years to invest in electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure throughout the District of Columbia (District) in accordance with the program’s guidance, specifications, and requirements. These first round of stations must be withing one (1) travel-mile of federally designated Alternative Fuel Corridors (AFCs) for the District to achieve fully built out status. The District currently has six (6) AFCs. 

The Aloha Prince Hall Hawaii Foundation Fund offers scholarships to graduating high school seniors from Hawaii who demonstrate financial need and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.7. The fund prioritizes students enrolling full-time in accredited four-year institutions and considers community service and extracurricular activities. Preference is given to previous recipients who continue to meet eligibility criteria. This initiative supports the educational aspirations of Hawaii's youth, fostering academic achievement in post-secondary education.

The Albert and Dorothy Shigekuni Scholarship Fund, established in 2013, aims to provide financial support to eligible undergraduate students from Hawai'i. Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.1 and demonstrate financial need while being enrolled in a University of Hawaii System school. Preference is given to past recipients who meet the criteria and are in good academic standing. This scholarship encourages local students to pursue their educational goals effectively.

Samerian Foundation

Founded in 2003, the Samerian Foundation is dedicated to perpetuating the vision of Cindy and Paul Skjodt, the founders. They seek to enhance the quality of life by providing funds through a grant making process for education, economic development, health, youth sports, community organizations meeting the needs of the underserved, and humanitarian projects.

Though the Samerian Foundation primarily serves Central Indiana, it has taken part in some international endeavors and have reached outside the state on special projects.

The Samerian Foundation is the philanthropic vehicle of the Skjodt’s generosity. To date, they have granted 2,105 requests of nearly $93.4 million.

The Samerian Foundation is lovingly named after Cindy and Paul’s children, Samantha, Erik, and Ian, who serve on the board.

Cindy Simon-Skjodt Scholarship

This scholarship was established by the Simon-Skjodt family to encourage students pursuing degrees with a focus on global studies, international law, or related disciplines at Indiana University.

About DHHL

As part of the Native Hawaiian Development Program Plan, the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) makes available annual grant funding to nonprofit organizations that demonstrate a purpose to benefit native Hawaiians. DHHL has offered grants in several program areas over the years as a means of implementing the community development component of the rehabilitation fund. Grant offerings reflect the department’s priorities and community interests.

Grant for Disaster Preparedness / Mitigation

The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) is seeking grant proposals statewide for disaster preparedness, prevention, and mitigation projects, programs and/or services in existing homesteads on Hawaiian Home Lands. Grant proposals may cover a broad range of areas in disaster preparedness and mitigation. Proposed projects may include any project related to the DHHL General Plan or listed in any HHC-approved DHHL Regional Plan, including those listed as “Potential” and/or “Priority” Projects. 

Award Period

The award is for a maximum of up to five years from the contract effective date.

Award Amounts

Subject to the availability of funds, a total of $2,000,000 in competitive funds will be provided for this solicitation using RFPs for “improvements to facilities located in existing homesteads.” The maximum grant proposal amount for this RFP-26-HHL-005 is $1,000,000.

The Mallove Family-William Pedace Scholarship, established by the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut, offers $750 to support New London High School students with strong academic abilities. Since 1983, the foundation has awarded over $11.9 million in scholarships, helping students pursue their educational goals and build successful careers. This scholarship is designed to assist deserving individuals in achieving their dreams by providing financial aid for college expenses.

The Deeper Learning Implementation Grant, offered by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, aims to enhance educational outcomes for underserved students through targeted funding and support. It encourages schools to engage in collaborative practices and professional development, fostering deeper learning. Eligible public and charter schools can apply for stipends to support instructional priorities and improve leadership systems. This initiative focuses on achieving sustainable changes in teaching methodologies and enhancing student engagement through innovative learning strategies.

The George & Lucille Cushnie Scholarship Fund, managed by the Hawai‘i Community Foundation, aims to support students from Hawai'i who are pursuing higher education in medical-related fields. Preference is given to residents of the Island of Hawaii and those who demonstrate financial need, while maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0. The fund encourages continued support for past recipients who remain eligible and in good academic standing.

The George & Augusta Rapozo Kama'aina Scholarship Fund, established by Wayne J. Rapozo in 2008, supports students from Kauai and Niihau who maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0. Eligible applicants must demonstrate financial need and have strong community ties. Preference is given to previous recipients who continue to meet these criteria. This scholarship fosters educational opportunities for local youth, ensuring they can pursue their academic and vocational goals.

The Financial Women International Scholarship, established in 1992 by the Hawaii chapter of Financial Women International, supports women pursuing higher education in business-related fields. Eligible applicants must be Hawaii residents demonstrating financial need, maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0, and show strong academic potential. Preference is given to previous recipients who continue to meet the criteria. This scholarship aims to empower women in the financial services sector and promote their academic success.

The John F. O'Brien, Jr. Scholarship, established in memory of a World War II veteran, supports students from Southeastern Connecticut pursuing a healthcare degree and facing financial need. Since its inception in 1983, the Community Foundation has awarded over $11.9 million in scholarships to help students achieve their educational goals. With an approximate award of $500, this scholarship ensures that deserving students can access the necessary resources for their college education.

The Eo Na Punawai Scholarship Fund, established in 2015, aims to support Hawaiian ancestry students pursuing degrees in STEM fields. Eligible applicants must be full-time undergraduate students at a college or university in Hawai‘i, demonstrating financial need with a minimum GPA of 2.5. This fund encourages the growth and education of future leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, fostering a strong community connection to Hawaiian heritage.

Registered Apprenticeship Incentive

The Registered Apprenticeship Incentive is designed to offset the extraordinary costs of utilizing a Registered Apprenticeship training program.

A maximum of $1,000 per apprentice, per year for the duration of the apprenticeship, is available to offset the extraordinary costs of utilizing a registered apprenticeship training program.

An employer may not be allocated more than $10,000 per year under this program.

The John Ostrom Enders II Memorial Scholarship, established by the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut, awards $4,000 to graduating seniors from East Lyme, New London, or Waterford High School. This scholarship supports students with a strong commitment to the creative arts and community service. Since 1983, the Foundation has distributed over $11.9 million in scholarships, helping students pursue higher education and rewarding careers.

The DC Mayor’s Scholars Undergraduate Program provides need-based funding for District of Columbia residents pursuing their first associate or bachelor’s degree at select colleges. As a last-dollar award, it helps cover tuition gaps after other financial aid. Eligible applicants must have been DC residents for at least a year, maintain satisfactory academic progress, and have household incomes below 300% of the federal poverty guidelines. Funding caps are $4,000 annually, with limits on total awards.

The Oregon Port Revolving Fund provides essential loans to port districts for the planning and construction of vital infrastructure and facilities. This state program, managed by Business Oregon, supports economic development through responsible investments, allowing ports to finance up to $3 million. Eligible projects include pre-project planning, construction, and maintenance, with flexible repayment terms based on project completion. This initiative underscores the significance of ports in enhancing Oregon's economic landscape.

The Port Planning & Marketing Fund in Oregon provides grants to enhance ports' economic development through strategic business planning and marketing projects. Law mandates that ports must update their business plans every decade to qualify for funding. Grants are limited to $50,000 or 75% of project costs. Priority is given to proposals for updating strategic plans, regional collaborations benefiting multiple ports, and projects that foster economic diversification, job creation, and redevelopment.

The Scholarships for Opportunity and Results (SOAR) Facilities Grant provides essential funding to public charter schools in the District of Columbia. With a total of $3.5 million available, grants can reach up to $750,000 per award. This program supports renovations aimed at increasing both the capacity and quality of charter school facilities, ensuring that more students have access to high-quality educational environments. Eligible entities are encouraged to submit a Notice of Intent to Apply.

The Pharmacy Residency Excellence Award: Preceptor Award recognizes exceptional pharmacy residency preceptors with over ten years of contributions in training and mentoring. Established in 2006, this award promotes innovation and excellence in pharmacy education. Recipients are acknowledged at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting, highlighting their achievements and serving as role models for future preceptors. This award aims to inspire others in the pharmacy field to enhance resident training and support optimal medication use.

The Historic Cemetery Preservation Capital Grant Program, initiated by the Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation in Washington State, aims to protect and maintain historic cemeteries. This program, established in 2016, provides funding for projects that enhance the preservation of these cultural resources, ensuring they continue to serve their communities and honor the veterans interred within. Collaborating with various partners, the program promotes the significance of historical heritage in the state.

Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation

The Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation is Washington State's primary agency with knowledge and expertise in historic preservation. We advocate for the preservation of Washington's irreplaceable historic and cultural resources - significant buildings, structures, sites, objects and districts - as assets for the future. 

Courthouse Preservation Grant Program

In spring of 2005, the Washington State Legislature established the Historic County Courthouse Rehabilitation Grant program. Based on findings from a statewide survey undertaken in 2003, 33 of the state’s 39 counties were found to possess courthouses of historic and architectural merit. (With the passage of time, additional courthouses have become historic, increasing the total number of eligible courthouses to 35) Additionally, the study estimated over $90 million in needed capital improvements to these structures. To address this need, the Washington State Legislature has allocated nearly $31.4 million from the state capital budget since the 2005-07 biennium. Through thirteen funding rounds since the program’s establishment, eighty-eight (88) grants have been awarded to twenty-nine counties statewide. Grant funds have worked to leverage local funding resulting in nearly $75 million in total rehabilitation work to selected courthouses.

Grant funding assists county governments in rehabilitating their historic county courthouses. Together with matching funds raised locally, this money will foster economic development in numerous communities while working to preserve public buildings vital to the architectural and cultural heritage of Washington.

Established in 2006, the award recognizes individuals who contribute significantly to residency education and serve as role models. Recipients are acknowledged at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting, promoting their achievements widely. This award is part of ASHP's commitment to enhancing pharmacy education and practice.

The Pharmacy Resident Research Grant, offered by the ASHP Foundation, aims to support practice-based research conducted by residents in ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency programs. This grant not only fosters the development of research skills among pharmacy residents but also encourages mentoring relationships with senior investigators. Research proposals should align with the ASHP Foundation Research Agenda and focus on advancing pharmacy practices within various healthcare settings to enhance patient care.

The MacColl Johnson Fellowship Program, managed by the Rhode Island Foundation in collaboration with the Alliance of Artists Communities, offers up to three $30,000 fellowships annually for emerging and mid-career Rhode Island writers. This fellowship, established in 2003, aims to support artistic development in the literary field. Eligible candidates must demonstrate residency and artistic promise. Applications are accepted for various written genres, emphasizing the submission of recent work to showcase current artistic practice.
