The Community Vision Fund (CVF) is an unrestricted fund within the Community Foundation with the ability to be agile due to its discretionary nature. ​​Granting through this fund remains committed to fulfilling community needs and advancing the well-being for all in Calumet, Outagamie, Shawano, Waupaca, and the Neenah-Menasha area of Winnebago counties.

Community Vision Fund- Annual Responsive Grants ​

Focus:

Grants play a vital role in strengthening nonprofit resilience by giving organizations the flexible, timely support they need to respond to emerging challenges and opportunities. These cycles honor the reality of day-to-day mission work, allowing nonprofits to direct resources where they will have the greatest impact. 

The Annual Responsiveness grant is our pilot effort at being more open to hearing what nonprofits need in the moment. The 2025 nonprofit survey demonstrated that overall, nonprofits desire “general, responsive funding.” The Annual Responsiveness grant allows nonprofits to share an overall picture of opportunity: You can submit for general operating and/or a specific program. This is your time to help us understand what is currently happening within your organization and how continued philanthropic support would make a difference. ​

With recognition of the cyclical nature of philanthropy, we will have three cycles. Applicants are encouraged to apply to the cycle that best aligns with their needs:​

MissionThe St. Ignace Area Community Foundation is a not for profit corporation designed to meet and enhance the needs of the community. The foundation provides an opportunity for charitable giving as well as the ability to create a legacy that will last. Your gifts to the Foundation create permanent endowments, from which earnings created annually provide positive impact to our community, thus, "For Good, For Ever."The Grant Grants are usually given one time only, for specific purposes with the understanding that the Foundation has no obligation or commitment to provide any additional support to the grantee. Who is the Oldham County Community Foundation?

The Oldham County Community Foundation (OCCF), an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Louisville, was formed in 2010 by a group of Oldham Countians who are committed to enriching our community today, tomorrow, and forever. Our goal is to attract charitable dollars that will forever benefit nonprofits providing services for the benefit of the Oldham County we call home.

The Oldham County Community Foundation Advisory Board is seeking grant proposals. We plan to award approximately $48,000 worth of grants from our community funds. In 2023, approximately $40,000 was awarded to 21 organizations with an average award of $1,900.

What is the focus of the 2026 grants? 

Grants may be made to any organization that serves members of the Oldham County community at the discretion of the OCCF Grant Committee.

Grant requests can support programs or a project including tangible, one-time purchases such as equipment or furniture. The funds can also be used to buy new hardware or software, provide training opportunities for staff, and address other needs critical to improving the organization’s efficiency or effectiveness.

The Community Impact Grants Program, administered by the Union County Foundation, invites competitive grant applications four times a year. This program aims to address the evolving needs of the community by providing seed funding for innovative projects rather than ongoing operational support. Eligible applicants include not-for-profit organizations that serve Union County residents. The program encourages collaboration with other funding sources to enhance community impact and maximize funding effectiveness.

The Computational Mathematics program supports research that integrates computation with mathematical analysis, encouraging innovative algorithm development and application. Proposals may range from individual projects to interdisciplinary teams, focusing on new computational techniques to address significant application challenges. The program also emphasizes training for junior mathematicians through hands-on research. Conference proposals must adhere to strict submission timelines to ensure review and funding opportunities, fostering collaboration within the mathematical sciences.

The Mellon Emerging Faculty Leaders Award supports early-career faculty committed to building inclusive campus communities. Funded by the Mellon Foundation, it offers a $20,000 stipend to assist with summer research and academic year support. Eligible candidates are assistant professors in tenure-track positions who have passed their third-year review and are engaged in fostering diversity and inclusion in their academic fields. This fellowship not only aids their research but also emphasizes their role in mentoring underrepresented students.

The Michael John Perry Fund I, established by Michael John Perry, supports Maui residents pursuing a career as commercial pilots. Eligible students must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0, demonstrate financial need, and be in good academic standing. The fund prefers previous recipients who continue to meet eligibility criteria. This initiative aims to empower local students in their aviation careers, contributing to the development of skilled pilots from Hawaii.

The Foellinger Foundation's Community Interests Grant focuses on enhancing the quality of life for residents in Fort Wayne and Allen County. By providing financial support, leadership training, and resources to nonprofits, this grant targets organizations that address broader community issues. Approximately 20% of the Foundation's funding is allocated to nonprofits that, while not directly serving children and families, contribute to vital community needs. This initiative aims to empower mission-driven organizations to create lasting impacts.

The Williamsburg Community Fund Grant, established in 2018 by the Northern Greenbrier Health Clinic's Board, supports projects enhancing life quality in the Greater Williamsburg area. Grants vary annually, with a maximum of $3,500 per project available to IRS-qualified charitable organizations. This initiative aims to foster community development and provide essential resources for impactful local projects.

What it's for: Projects, programs, or equipment needs of $10,000 or less.Limits: Up to two Quick Action Community Grant applications per fiscal year, July 1 through June 30.

Comprehensive follow-up reports are required to ensure accountability and transparency.

The Duplin County Community Foundation Grant Program, administered by the North Carolina Community Foundation, provides funding for local nonprofits and community projects in Duplin County. Established in 2005, it aims to enhance community life through competitive grants. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations and local government units, promoting inclusivity and non-discrimination.
