IDEA-D funds- Program Purpose, Goals, and Objectives
The purpose of IDEA-D funds is to provide technical assistance and dissemination to improve services and results for children who are deafblind. The purpose of this program is to promote academic achievement and improve results for children with disabilities by providing technical assistance and model demonstration projects, disseminating useful information, and implementing activities that are supported by scientifically based research. IDEA includes provisions designed to ensure that each child with a disability is provided a high-quality individual program of services to meet his or her developmental and educational needs. For children who are deafblind to receive such services, intensive technical assistance is made available to the school system, parents, and professionals (IDEA-D, Section 663; CFDA 84.326T).
TEA is awarded funds through a five-year competitive grant program titled Technical Assistance to State Deafblind Projects, administered by the USDE, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). This project is administered by TEA through the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (TSBVI).

PLTW Launch (PreK-5)
Young learners are naturally wired for discovery. PLTW Launch is designed with activities that let them see what they can be and build skills to discover what they can do. Students are immersed in hands-on activities, projects, and problems that build upon each other and relate to the real world. They experience integrated learning that blends computer science, engineering, biomedical science, and more. Throughout the modules, even the youngest learners apply their math and English Language Arts (ELA) skills, learn science to standards, and adopt skills that are foundational across disciplines.
Additionally, to support rigorous learning for all students, including America’s 5 million English Language Learners, all PLTW Launch students and teachers have access to curriculum in both English and Spanish. PLTW Launch is designed to support a wide range of implementations. Whether the modules are offered in all classrooms, as a specials rotation, as grade level rotations, as an after-school program, or even as a summer learning implementation, PLTW Launch offers the flexibility to meet your needs.

Richard Gebhart Leadership Legacy Scholarship
Provides scholarships to members of the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association (and their children) who are attending graduate school and best meet the criteria. In partnership with the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association.

Texas Academic Innovation and Mentoring (AIM) Grant
Program Description
The Academic Innovation and Mentoring (AIM) grant is designed to close the gaps in the student achievement among English language learners and minority and low-income students who are at risk of dropping out. The Texas AIM program is a partnership between Texas Alliance of Boys and Girls Clubs (BGC) and a supplemental academic learning center that is owned and operated in the United States to provide an after-school and summer AIM program statewide. Program goals include decreasing the dropout rate and discipline issues and improving academic achievement and attendance among participating at-risk students.
Raymond and Paulette Cox Scholarhsip (Piedmont)
Provides scholarship to a Piedmont graduating senior with a GPA of 3.0-3.00, attending a two- or four-year college or university and majoring in health services or public service.
Randy and Deanna Clonts Scholarship (Piedmont)
Provided to Piedmont high school graduating senior attending a two- or four-year university with GPA of 3.0-3.99.
Randy Blevins Memorial Scholarship (Piedmont)
Provides a scholarship to a Piedmont graduating senior.
STS/TSF Global Access Scholarship
The STS/TSF Global Access Scholarship is designed to reduce financial barriers for practicing surgeons from resource limited settings to participate in the specialty’s premier educational forum. By expanding access to the STS Annual Meeting, these scholarships support workforce development, access to high quality education, and the advancement of equitable cardiothoracic care globally (outside the United States and Canada). This award is made possible by the generosity of The Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
Award Amount
The STS/TSF Global Access Scholarship is valued at up to $4,000. The award covers the cost of registration for the STS Annual Meeting, including the President’s Reception, and lodging at a STS Annual Meeting Partner hotel for three nights. Scholarship recipients will receive a travel stipend to defray the cost of meals, ground transportation, and airfare. Stipend amounts will be determined based on the distance traveled from the recipient’s home location to attend the annual meeting.

Career Women’s Club Scholarship Fund
The Career Women’s Club Scholarship Fund was established in January 1996 to provide scholarship assistance to a post-traditional student anticipating a career track curriculum. Post-traditional students are typically aged 25 and older and have taken time off from pursuing higher education due to other commitments, such as caring for family and/or holding full-time jobs. The applicant must have been a resident of Harrison, Hancock, Jackson, Stone or George County for at least three years, and must provide evidence of financial need. Applicant must attend any campus of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and may be a current student at MGCCC in good standing.

Each PLTW Engineering course engages students in interdisciplinary activities like working with a client to design a home, programming electronic devices or robotic arms, or exploring algae as a biofuel source. These activities not only build knowledge and skills in engineering, but also empower students to develop essential skills such as problem solving, critical and creative thinking, communication, collaboration, and perseverance.

PLTW Biomedical Science students have experience with state-of-the-art tools and techniques that are used by professionals in hospitals and labs every day.
By immersing students in activities like practicing suturing and constructing body structures from clay, PLTW Biomedical Science empowers students to build knowledge and skills in biomedical science, as well as in-demand, transportable skills like problem solving, critical and creative thinking, communication, and collaboration.

Rotary Club of Biloxi Scholarship Endowment Fund
The Rotary Club of Biloxi Scholarship Endowment Fund was established in June 1999. This scholarship is funded by the Rotary Club of Biloxi for the purpose of providing scholarship assistance to a graduating senior of Biloxi High School, St. Patrick Catholic High School, D’Iberville High School, or the Mississippi School of Math and Science, or a homeschool senior student registered with the County Attendance Office and whose parent or legal guardian resides in Biloxi.

AIA WF Architecture College Student Scholarship
The AIA WF Architecture College Student Scholarship fund was opened at WFACF in 2024, by the local chapter of the American Institute of Architects. It is for graduates of the local area pursuing a degree in architecture entering their sophomore year of college, with preference for students intending to return to our area. There are (2) one-time $2,000 scholarships available for students attending Texas A&M, Prairie View A&M, Texas Tech, University of Houston, UT Arlington, UT Austin, UT San Antonio, or Oklahoma State.
Lawrence and Lucimarian Roberts Scholarship Fund
The Lawrence and Lucimarian Roberts Helpline Scholarship Fund was established in July 2002 to help individuals further their education in human service professions such as psychology, counseling, social work, or other majors in the behavioral health and science field. The applicant must be currently enrolled in a two- or four-year college or university in the state of Mississippi or a high school senior who is planning on attending a two- or four-year college or university in the state of Mississippi. The applicant should have an overall grade point average of at least 2.5 (based on a 4.0 scale) from a state or private college or university or from a public or private high school. The individual must have family residency in Harrison, Hancock, Pearl River or Stone counties.
Harold and Mary W. Perlman Scholarship Fund
The Harold and Mary Perlman Scholarship Fund was established in November 2006 in memory of Harold and Mary Perlman. Mr. and Mrs. Perlman were both educators along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The scholarship will provide assistance for college, junior college, or graduate school students who plan to attend or are currently attending William Carey College, The University of Southern Mississippi, or any campus of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. The applicant should have an overall grade point average of at least 3.0 (based on a 4.0 scale). The individual must have family residency in Harrison, Hancock, Jackson or Stone County and provide evidence of financial need. The applicant must participate in extracurricular and/or community activities. Three references are required.
