Trauma System Development Grant

Purpose

The Indiana Department of Health’s Division of Trauma and Injury Prevention has been provided funding to support quality improvement projects and the ongoing development of the statewide trauma system. To aid in the implementation of trauma system projects, the Indiana Department of Health will fund the following strategies. Applicants must implement projects that target at least one strategy but can address multiple strategies if appropriate.

• Strategy 1: Trauma System Development
• Strategy 2: Quality Improvement
• Strategy 3: Trauma and Non-Trauma Center Engagement
• Strategy 4: Injury Prevention Programming

This request for application (RFA) is designed for all interested entities wishing to submit proposals for trauma system development under the core strategies outlined above. Funding decisions for all proposals submitted under this program will be made following a review process by the Indiana Trauma Care Commission (TCC) and IDOH.

Grants Available

Mental Wellness Grants

Through this grant cycle, $75,000 is available to non-profit organizations serving White County with a focus on mental wellness initiatives. Awards to be announced 10/30/26.

Indiana mental health and substance use nonprofits can access funding through Elevance Health Foundation to expand treatment, prevention, and early-intervention services. 501(c)(3) public charities across the U.S., including Indiana, may apply for scalable programs that boost access to MH/SUD care, track long-term outcomes, and reduce social isolation and loneliness.

The L.B. Research and Education Foundation Grant Program supports U.S.-based nonprofits focusing on innovative education and health solutions for underserved populations. Eligible organizations can apply by submitting a 400-word concept paper, and selected applicants may receive funding ranging from $10,000 to $75,000. The Foundation prioritizes projects that foster critical thinking and creativity, address health disparities, and encourage collaboration. There are no application deadlines, promoting year-round engagement.

RBC Foundation – USA aims to enhance community quality of life by supporting non-profit organizations that promote diversity and positive change. In 2023, it awarded over $2.8 million in grants, prioritizing youth programs for ages 15-29, arts access for diverse populations, and mental well-being initiatives. The foundation encourages sustainable projects that foster economic independence, providing critical support for education, mental health, and cultural enrichment, thereby making a significant impact across various communities.

Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations in Indiana that directly deliver essential health and human services, including mental health care, can apply for matching capital grants of US $50,000 - US $1,500,000 to improve or expand service facilities. Grants from United Way of Marshall County support land purchase, construction, renovation, and equipment for these capital projects.
