Search Through Quality of Life Grants in Kentucky

Academy Sports + Outdoors, a leading sporting goods retailer, supports community initiatives by providing donations to registered 501(c)(3) organizations. Their focus is on promoting safety and responsibility in sports and outdoor activities. Proposals must foster community engagement and must not be affiliated with religious or political groups. Events should take place in areas with Academy stores, ensuring a positive local impact while encouraging active lifestyles and connection among community members.

The Carol Ann and Ralph V Haile Jr Foundation Grant aims to enhance the quality of life for residents in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Established by Carol and Ralph Haile, the foundation focuses on funding initiatives in arts and culture, civic engagement, education, and human services. It supports organizations that are tax-exempt and aligns with their mission across ten counties. The Frankenmuth Insurance Foundation Charitable Grant supports qualified charities focused on community betterment and basic human needs. Founded in 2016, it aims to enhance lives through initiatives such as affordable housing, health programs, and the arts. Organizations eligible for funding must be tax-exempt and serve areas where Frankenmuth Insurance operates. Notably, the foundation excludes support for individuals, political groups, and projects typically financed by governments, ensuring its resources benefit the wider community.

The Kentucky Civil Money Penalty (CMP) Funds support initiatives that enhance the quality of care for nursing home residents. Managed by the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services, these funds are reinvested from monetary penalties imposed on nursing homes for non-compliance with federal standards. Eligible organizations, including advocacy groups and nursing home associations, may utilize CMP funds for projects like resident relocation support and facility improvement initiatives, aiming to advance resident welfare.

The Old National Bank Foundation provides sponsorships to enhance community initiatives in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Their mission focuses on social responsibility, supporting underrepresented groups, and aligning with the Community Reinvestment Act. Sponsorships cover events such as fundraisers and sporting events, emphasizing active engagement and measurable impact. The Foundation aims to improve quality of life through strategic partnerships and meaningful contributions.

The R. C. Durr Foundation Grant aims to enhance the quality of life in Northern Kentucky by supporting organizations focused on education, social services, and community development. With a commitment to innovative projects that demonstrate measurable impact and collaboration, the foundation prioritizes initiatives that improve living conditions and foster sustainability. Grants are available year-round, with a response time typically within 90 days, ensuring timely support for impactful community projects.

The Raymond B. Preston Family Foundation focuses on educational, artistic, and charitable needs primarily in Henderson, Kentucky. The foundation seeks to support initiatives that promote the arts, ethical decision-making, and community improvement. Grants prioritize measurable projects with long-term viability that enhance quality of life in the region. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) certified, while ineligible activities include fundraising events and support for individuals or political causes. Preference is given to specific projects over general operating expenses.

Central Kentucky Community Foundation Grant

CKCF strives to enhance communities by uniting people and investing resources through philanthropy. We are committed to building philanthropic resources that will enrich the lives of people who live in our nine-county region encompassing Breckinridge, Grayson, Hardin, Hart, LaRue, Marion, Meade, Nelson, and Washington counties. One of the ways we carry out this work is through a meaningful and impactful grants program.

The nonprofit organizations serving our communities provide vital services and opportunities making this a great place to call home. Our nonprofits work to help fulfill their mission and bring new opportunities to our community, but serving a growing region comes with challenges. To meet the ever-changing needs of our community, CKCF’s Granted program offers funding opportunities to our local nonprofits.

This program offers grant funding in three categories:

• Capacity Building: funding organizational and financial stability, program quality, and growth, allowing nonprofits to carry out their mission more effectively.
• Capital Improvement: funding essential items to help organizations fulfill their mission. These grants are typically a one-time expense.
• Programming: funding ideas or expand existing programs that align with the mission of the organization.

Funding

Organizations may apply for funding in only one category for up to $7,500. Additionally, we will offer the opportunity for a “stretch” ask for up to $10,000 enabling nonprofits to receive additional funding to strengthen their project.

Louisville Responsive Community Grants

Our Louisville-based Responsive Grantmaking is designed to support projects and initiatives that contribute to Louisville’s progress and reputation. These grants respond to opportunities identified by community organizations and are designed to strengthen the city’s quality of life and overall vitality.

Responsive grants typically focus on locally driven efforts that align with the Foundation’s mission and advance Louisville as a thriving, engaged community. Projects often reflect collaboration, creativity, and a shared commitment to making the city a better place to live, work, and visit.

Additional Considerations

Organizations should demonstrate significant financial support for projects, including contributions from private donors, private and public grants, and other sustainable sources of revenue. Additionally, letters of support or endorsement are appropriate to include in the application. It is also encouraged to mention current partnerships and collaborations.

• The proportion of a project budget requested from JGBF should not typically exceed 30% of the total project budget. The amount of the grant request should be appropriate for the scope of impact.
• Proposals that demonstrate 50%–60% of the total project cost raised are more competitive.
• JGBF will rarely be the sole funder and encourages a broad base of support to reinforce projects and increase the likelihood of lasting impact.

The Andrew Jergens Foundation Grant, administered by the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, focuses on enhancing the health, education, cultural experiences, and social welfare of children in the Greater Cincinnati area. With a commitment to supporting programs for children through high school, the foundation seeks to foster vibrant communities by connecting with nonprofits dedicated to improving quality of life. The foundation emphasizes the importance of generous contributions to create lasting change in the region.

The Southern SARE program is inviting pre-proposals for innovative Systems Research Projects and Education Activities that promote sustainable agriculture. With funding ranging from $50,000 to $400,000, this initiative aims to address pressing agricultural issues in the Southern region, including Alabama, Florida, and Texas. Proposals should align with the objectives outlined in the 1990 Farm Bill, focusing on enhancing environmental quality, economic viability, and quality of life in farming communities.

The Corporate Giving Program by the Franklin P. and Arthur W. Perdue Foundation supports nonprofit organizations that enhance community welfare. Focus areas include agriculture, education, fighting hunger, and public safety. Eligible applicants must have IRS 501(c)(3) status and a Taxpayer Identification number. Requests are prioritized for programs directly benefiting communities near Perdue facilities across various states. The foundation emphasizes responsible stewardship and community engagement in all funding decisions.

By focusing on underserved and unserved areas, the program fosters community engagement and partnerships to improve broadband infrastructure and affordability. With funding opportunities available for Internet Service Providers, local governments, and non-profits, BEAD supports initiatives that empower Kentuckians, promote digital literacy, and stimulate economic growth through improved connectivity.

The CFSKY: Women's Fund - Impact Grant supports nonprofit organizations in South Central Kentucky that are dedicated to improving the lives of women and children. Annually, this grant funds significant projects that demonstrate sustainability, measurable goals, and a commitment to gender equity. Eligible organizations include those recognized as tax-exempt, and projects can range from capital improvements to educational initiatives. The fund emphasizes collaboration and innovative solutions to community challenges.

The Kentucky Social Welfare Foundation Grant supports non-profit organizations serving Kentucky residents, focusing on enhancing social welfare for those facing economic hardships. Established in 1948, it prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion while targeting rural areas and communities in need. Grants are awarded for program expansion or new initiatives that promote self-help and training. Eligible applicants must be IRS-approved charitable organizations based in Kentucky, ensuring their projects align with the foundation's core values.

The Hudson-Ellis Grants, offered by the Blue Grass Community Foundation, support charitable organizations in Boyle County, focusing on public education and services for disadvantaged youth and adults. Established through generous donations, these grants aim to address community needs with sustainable and measurable outcomes. Organizations can apply for funding up to $7,500 to create a positive impact in the community. Since its inception, the foundation has awarded over $160 million in grants, enhancing the quality of life in Central and Appalachia Kentucky.

The Greater Cincinnati Foundation invites organizations to apply for the Vibrant Places: Community and Cultural Vibrancy grant, aimed at enhancing community well-being through equitable access to resources and cultural enrichment. With $500,000 available for the 2025 cycle, grants of up to $25,000 will support initiatives that strengthen community ties and promote safe public spaces. Eligible organizations include those with 501(c)(3) status or fiscal agents, focusing on measurable outcomes and collaboration.

The Green River Area Community Foundation Grant aims to support local nonprofits in Daviess, Hancock, McLean, Ohio, Union, and Webster counties, Kentucky, with approximately $70,000 available for distribution. GRACF, established in 1993, is dedicated to enhancing community life through philanthropic efforts. By submitting the Needs Survey Form, nonprofits can share their financial needs, allowing GRACF to connect them with potential donors and media, ultimately fostering a stronger charitable network in the region.

The FTSC Community Grants aim to enhance the quality of life in the Tri-State area by providing funding for innovative projects that strengthen non-profits and address significant community challenges. Eligible organizations, including 501(c)(3) charities, can apply for these grants, with a focus on improving management capacity and testing new solutions. The Foundation awards grants biannually, ensuring a responsive approach to community needs.

The Carter County Community Fund, part of the Foundation for the Tri-State Community, aims to enhance the quality of life in Carter County, KY. This fund supports diverse community projects and encourages innovative solutions to local challenges. Eligible applicants include tax-exempt charities and organizations that serve residents of Carter County. Grant proposals must address specific community needs and adhere to guidelines that prioritize local engagement and collaboration among organizations.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. (TMMK) Grants focus on enhancing community opportunities through partnerships with nonprofit organizations. Eligible organizations must demonstrate a commitment to high-quality education in the Greater Cincinnati region. Funding can support new initiatives, program expansions, or operational support, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.

The 410 Grant aims to foster a new generation of philanthropic leaders in Northern Kentucky by pooling resources among members who contribute $410 annually. This initiative focuses on building a vibrant culture of giving and civic engagement through innovative grant-making practices that support local nonprofits and projects. By cultivating leadership and community investment, the 410 Grant seeks to ensure the region's growth and prosperity for both current and future generations.

The Community Partners Grant Program, led by the Humana Foundation, aims to enhance community health by addressing social barriers and promoting equitable health outcomes. With a focus on Kentucky, Florida, Louisiana, and Texas, the program fosters connections through emotional support and nutritional education. It also provides disaster relief funding to ensure long-term recovery and preparedness. By collaborating with local organizations, this initiative helps individuals access essential services and resources, thereby improving their overall well-being.

The Arts + Creative Industries External Agency Grant Program, initiated by the Louisville-Jefferson County Metro Government, provides vital funding support to local arts and culture nonprofits. Aimed at enhancing community life through the arts, the program offers grants of $25,000 to $50,000 based on organizational budgets. This initiative fosters creativity, promotes cultural programming, and ensures equitable access to arts experiences for all residents, contributing to a vibrant and thriving Louisville.
