What is the Future is for Everyone Fund?

The Future is for Everyone Fund is Meta’s $1 billion commitment to invest directly in the U.S. communities that are home to a Meta data center. The Fund supports local schools, nonprofits, and community organizations and is organized into four focus areas that reflect local priorities: Community Enhancement, Economic Vitality, Education, and Sustainability. It builds on the over $70 million in grant funding we’ve provided to our data center communities since 2011.

Georgia adult literacy and basic education programs using digital learning tools can access funding through ProLiteracy’s Mobile Learning Fund to obtain free online instructional solutions. Eligible U.S. and territorial programs, including those serving Georgia, may receive subscriptions and licenses for platforms that support adult literacy, English language learning, test preparation, and foundational skills development.

Georgia schools, libraries, and youth-serving organizations can receive matching support to run Read for Success literacy programs serving children from birth through grade 12. Reading Is Fundamental matches local dollars 1:1 to provide diverse books, read-aloud collections, student journals, and family engagement resources for up to 25 students per program, benefiting literacy initiatives in Georgia and nationwide.

Georgia educational institutions and youth-serving organizations seeking books to build children’s home libraries can access funding for RIF’s Books for Ownership literacy program. Georgia literacy nonprofits and schools can access funding through Reading Is Fundamental, which matches local dollars with a 100% book award redeemable in its online bookstore for children from birth through grade 12 in the U.S.

Georgia nonprofits and local government entities serving low-income Cobb County residents with education, literacy, employment, housing, health, or self-sufficiency programs may be eligible for this Community Services Block Grant. Cobb County supports projects that lessen poverty and improve economic self-sufficiency for individuals at or below 125% of Federal Poverty Guidelines.

State-level education affiliates in Georgia can apply for National Education Association Staff Organization’s Read Across America State Affiliate Event Grant, awarding up to US $7,500 for K–12 literacy events and activities centered on diverse books and the freedom to learn. Focused on literacy, the Potash Family Foundation invites programs serving readers of any age, including ESOL learners and people with vision impairments, to request project-specific support rather than general operating funds.

Adult and teen literacy programs in Georgia can receive in-kind New Readers Press books and educational materials, typically valued at US $500 - US $2,000, to support instruction. Grants from ProLiteracy help organizations offering basic literacy, ESOL, high school equivalency, math, or family literacy services, with priority for nonprofits providing free instruction.

Thanks to our generous partners, there are thirty $10,000 merit-based scholarships currently available. All scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence, community service, and leadership. The finalists are announced every spring. They then attend our national convention in July when the winners of each individual scholarship are selected. 

The American Action Fund for Blind Children and Adults Scholarship

For more than 100 years the American Action Fund for Blind Children and Adults has strived to improve the lives of blind and Deafblind children and adults. Best known for annually producing and gifting Braille Calendars, sponsoring the free Braille books for blind children program, and administering the Braille Readers are Leaders contest, the American Action Fund leads in promoting Braille literacy. The American Action Fund is proud to award this scholarship to a deserving and talented blind person. 

Literary Arts Fund

Grants Overview

The Literary Arts Fund will award at least $50 million in grants to the nonprofit literary arts field over the next five years, concluding in 2031.

With a short timeline, the fund’s grantmaking has a strategic focus on the areas of the literary arts ecosystem where it determined it could have the greatest impact— that is: supporting independent U.S.-based literary arts nonprofits whose primary mission is directly serving adult writers of creative nonfiction, fiction, poetry, and hybrid works in making their artistic work and sharing it with readers outside of school and academic settings. Innovation project grants provide funding to literary arts nonprofits for projects that may be collaborative and that aim to address critical challenges in one or more literary arts nonprofit organizations, presses, or publications that, if improved, would directly benefit creative writers’ artistic work and ability to share it with readers and audiences. These grants are disbursed to nonprofits in a single payment and intended for use during the project period.

The Justamere Foundation focuses on removing barriers to self-sufficiency by supporting innovative community programs. They prioritize four key areas: trade education, veterans resources, childhood literacy, and arts education. By providing grants and non-traditional scholarships, the foundation aims to empower individuals and create lasting change. Areas of Need We Support

The Justamere Foundation’s mission is to find those areas that are underserved by traditional resources and see if we can make a bigger difference with direct involvement. Solutions might involve grants, non-traditional scholarships or simply making the right connection.

We focus on four main areas of need in our community:

• Trade Education: Individuals working towards obtaining a family-sustaining income encounter many small barriers that can impede their progress. We’ve partnered with local community colleges and organizations that work to eliminate the barriers.
• Veterans Resources: Veterans entering the civilian workforce can struggle to find the right fit. We’re working with organizations to support veterans with this process.
• Childhood Literacy: Reading is essential. Fostering a love of reading and learning opens so many doors as children grow up. We support organizations with programs that focus on education and literacy resources for children in underserved areas.
• Arts Education: Arts programs inspire and help children express themselves. We support summer and after-school programs in music, art, and theatre.

Non-Traditional Scholarships

There are many traditional Scholarship and Financial Aid resources for high school kids going on to college. This is great but it leaves a whole lot of people out of the solution. Kids who couldn’t go directly to college or didn’t finish highschool – Adults who are in a job that cannot effectively support their family and want to make a change – or anyone simply looking for a better life. The resources available to them are limited. We want to work with organizations that are addressing those challenges and see if there’s a connection to be made, an existing program to utilize or even a new program to be developed.

The Dawn Foods Foundation Corporate Grants program is dedicated to enhancing community well-being through strategic investments in key areas like hunger prevention, education, community vibrancy, and volunteerism. With a strong commitment to improving lives, the foundation supports initiatives that promote health, literacy, and creative arts, while also encouraging team members to engage in volunteer efforts. Though applications for 2025 are closed, opportunities will reopen in 2026.
