The Morton-Kelly Charitable Trust, established in 1988, focuses on enhancing community connections through arts, culture, and environmental initiatives in Maine. The Trust supports projects that foster creative expression, promote historic preservation, and encourage environmental stewardship. Grant applicants can seek up to $20,000 for operating support or specific projects that align with these priorities. The Foundation emphasizes equitable access and community representation in its funding decisions.

The Autism Community Impact Grant by the Flutie Foundation supports not-for-profit organizations that enhance the lives of individuals and families affected by autism. In 2023, the grant focuses on underserved and culturally diverse communities, funding programs that make an immediate impact. Eligible projects include educational, vocational, and recreational opportunities, as well as support services. The Foundation encourages applications that serve those profoundly affected by autism, aiming to improve their quality of life.

The ME Project Canopy Assistance Grants support community forestry projects focused on tree planting and maintenance. Applicants, including local governments and non-profits, must attend a grant workshop prior to submission. The program emphasizes sustainable practices, enhancing community health, and improving air and water quality. A 50/50 matching requirement applies to federal funds, encouraging local financial commitment. Seacoast Womens Giving Circle

We are 200 members strong and are committed to preserving the quality of life on the Seacoast. Members hail from around the world but most call the Seacoast area "home". 

What We Do

Members contribute to an annual collective gift and participate in volunteer service projects in the community. Over the course of the year, members educate themselves about community issues, identify a specific topic on which to focus, and select nonprofit organization(s) to receive the Giving Circle's annual gift.

Where We Serve

The immediate scope of our giving and volunteering includes the following towns: Seabrook, Hampton, Hampton Falls, North Hampton, Rye, Portsmouth, New Castle, Greenland, Newington and Kittery.

Topic: Protecting Marginalized and At Risk Children & Adolescents

When children and adolescents face mistreatment or discrimination, are stigmatized, and/or cannot access vital health and educational services, they cannot thrive.

The Seacoast Women's Giving Circle will be accepting applications from organizations that support marginalized and at-risk children and adolescents.

Priority will be given to organizations that address one or more of the following:

• ​Direct services
• Advocacy
• Social change initiatives

Seacoast Women’s Giving Circle Priorities:

• Improving quality of life on the Seacoast
• Serving the socio-economically underprivileged
• Fostering independence and self-reliance
• Addressing emerging needs and issues
• Providing long-term solutions
• Investing in the expansion of existing organizations rather than the creation of new ones

We are accepting applications for unrestricted funding grants of $25,000.

The McGraw Foundation offers annual grants to not-for-profit organizations, primarily in the greater Chicago area, focusing on education, conservation, and human services. Grant amounts typically range from $2,000 to $10,000, with larger grants available for particularly impactful projects. While supporting diverse initiatives, the Foundation does not fund individuals or specific events. Organizations must be tax-exempt under IRS regulations to qualify for funding. The Foundation encourages innovative approaches and partnerships in grant applications.

The PF Fund for the Baldwin Area, managed by the Maine Community Foundation, aims to enhance the quality of life in Baldwin, Maine. This grant supports nonprofit organizations and initiatives that foster self-reliance, education, and sustainable resource management. Priority is given to projects that can leverage additional funding or address gaps in support. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, municipalities, and public agencies, ensuring diverse community engagement in local development.

The MCF: Hospice Fund, established by the Maine Community Foundation, aims to enhance hospice services in Cumberland and York counties. It provides grants to nonprofit organizations, municipalities, and public agencies that support volunteer and bereavement programs. The fund prioritizes projects that raise awareness of hospice services and improve end-of-life care quality. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations and other specified entities. Funding cannot be used for capital projects or activities outside the specified counties.

The Citizens' Institute on Rural Design (CIRD), a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts and the Housing Assistance Council, invites rural communities to apply for design support. CIRD aims to enhance rural life and economic viability through planning and creative placemaking, empowering local citizens to address unique community challenges. Opportunities include Local Design Workshops and a Design Learning Cohort, providing resources, training, and support to foster community-driven solutions.
