We are 200 members strong and are committed to preserving the quality of life on the Seacoast. Members hail from around the world but most call the Seacoast area "home". 

What We Do

Members contribute to an annual collective gift and participate in volunteer service projects in the community. Over the course of the year, members educate themselves about community issues, identify a specific topic on which to focus, and select nonprofit organization(s) to receive the Giving Circle's annual gift.

Where We Serve

The immediate scope of our giving and volunteering includes the following towns: Seabrook, Hampton, Hampton Falls, North Hampton, Rye, Portsmouth, New Castle, Greenland, Newington and Kittery.

When children and adolescents face mistreatment or discrimination, are stigmatized, and/or cannot access vital health and educational services, they cannot thrive.

The Seacoast Women's Giving Circle will be accepting applications from organizations that support marginalized and at-risk children and adolescents.

Priority will be given to organizations that address one or more of the following:

• Advocacy
• Social change initiatives

We are accepting applications for unrestricted funding grants of $25,000.

The McGraw Foundation offers annual grants to not-for-profit organizations, primarily in the greater Chicago area, focusing on education, conservation, and human services. The fund prioritizes projects that raise awareness of hospice services and improve end-of-life care quality. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations and other specified entities. Funding cannot be used for capital projects or activities outside the specified counties.

The Citizens' Institute on Rural Design (CIRD), a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts and the Housing Assistance Council, invites rural communities to apply for design support. The Ekhagastiftelsen Foundation Grant aims to enhance human health through innovative research in nutrition, organic agriculture, and complementary medicine. It prioritizes projects that emphasize preventive care over reactive approaches, promoting healthier lifestyles and sustainable practices. The foundation encourages global applications, especially those involving Swedish collaboration, and supports both scientific research and practical implementations of research findings. Grants focus on projects that align with the foundation's purpose and explore alternative health solutions.

The Accelerating Impact for Hard-to-Treat Cancers Award, offered by the Children's Cancer Research Fund, focuses on pre-clinical research to enhance treatment outcomes for pediatric cancers that are difficult to treat. The award supports innovative studies, including pilot projects and the development of new technologies. As a nonprofit, CCRF has invested over $235 million in initiatives since 1981, aiming to improve therapies and support for children battling cancer, thereby fostering safer and more effective treatment options.

Great American Main Street Awards

Main Street America celebrates communities whose successes serve as a model for comprehensive, preservation-based revitalization efforts in their historic downtowns and commercial corridor districts with the Great American Main Street Awards (GAMSA).

Winners represent the diversity of communities in the Main Street America network — small towns, mid-sized communities, and urban commercial districts from every region in the country — and demonstrate the power of the Main Street Approach™. Since the inception of the Great American Main Street Awards in 1995, 118 Main Street programs have been honored.

Selection Criteria: Semifinalists and winners are selected from a nationwide pool of applicants by a jury of Main Street professionals and leaders in the fields of community and economic development and historic preservation. Criteria for winning GAMSA include: strength of the Main Street program in spurring community transformation, commitment to historic preservation, innovative programming, implementation of cross-sector partnerships, community outreach and stakeholder engagement, and ensuring their downtown districts are for everyone. 

Accolades & Ceremony: Semifinalists are promoted through Main Street America’s digital channels and receive media relations support. Winners also receive a short documentary film, a plaque, communications and media relations support, prominent placement on the Main Street America website for two years, and recognition at the 2027 Main Street Now Conference in Detroit, Michigan.

The Eliminating Disparities in Childhood Cancers Award, offered by the Children’s Cancer Research Fund, supports innovative research aimed at reducing health disparities in childhood cancer. This initiative prioritizes proposals that identify modifiable risk factors and mechanisms of disparities, emphasizing the importance of improving access to care and treatment outcomes. With over $235 million invested since 1981, CCRF is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for children and families affected by cancer.

The MCF: Equity Fund Grant, established by the Maine Community Foundation, aims to strengthen LGBTQ+ organizations in Maine through general and project grants. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, municipalities, and public agencies that engage LGBTQ+ individuals in their leadership and services. This grant prioritizes initiatives that enhance healthcare access, reduce disparities, and promote respect. The fund, which became permanent in 2000, continues to support community-based efforts that align with its mission.

The Maine Expansion Arts - BIPOC program, initiated by the Maine Community Foundation, aims to enhance access to arts for Black, Indigenous, and people of color in rural Maine. This initiative supports organizations that empower BIPOC communities through arts-based programs, ensuring representation and inclusivity. Grants are available for both general support and specific projects that promote BIPOC artists, addressing barriers to participation in the arts and fostering cultural enrichment across the state.

The Maine Expansion Arts - Rural grant supports arts organizations and programs in rural Maine, focusing on accessibility to the arts for underserved communities. Established by the Maine Community Foundation, this grant prioritizes projects with annual budgets below $250,000. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, municipalities, and public agencies. The initiative aims to strengthen local artistic traditions and foster community engagement, ensuring the arts are accessible to all, particularly in areas with limited resources.

The Morton-Kelly Charitable Trust, established in 1988, focuses on enhancing community connections through arts, culture, and environmental initiatives in Maine. The Trust supports projects that foster creative expression, promote historic preservation, and encourage environmental stewardship. Grant applicants can seek up to $20,000 for operating support or specific projects that align with these priorities. The Foundation emphasizes equitable access and community representation in its funding decisions.
